Dryer Vent Wizard of Central Ohio

This could not have gone better. My dryer had quit heating up and I suspected it was from a clogged vent. They were able to come to my house the next day since it was over the holidays and was a slow week. The vent had been originally installed at a 90 degree angle from the dryer and sent under a crawl space surrounded by insulation. This put added strain on the dryer and the vent was quite clogged with wet lint. He felt it was would be safer and easier on the dryer if the vent was rerouted to the outdoors which required drilling a hole for the new vent in the side of the house. He also checked the dryer and said the heater was broken. He does not fix dryers, but I appreciated his checking to see if the new vent had fixed the problem. He did his work quickly and neatly and cleaned up thoroughly after he was done. I would recommend him highly.

Went well. We had a TON of lint trapped & I'm very glad we did this. They were very professional AND helpful. We have a first floor laundry & the vent runs under the floor & out to the back, but was partially covered by our deck. Sadly, the deck was poorly constructed when we bought the home & has multiple issues so they were kind enough to saw it (with my full permission & blessing) so they could access the vent & boy was that lint flying around like snow. We had been experiencing a burning smell when we turned our dryer on and weren't sure if it was the vent, the dryer or both. The cleaning definitely helped the burning but Jim noticed that the dryer was very hot in the mechanical area & this is not normal (it's at least 12 years so it's not a surprise for us). We had the vent to the outside cleaned, the dryer vents & lint traps on the dryer itself, they fixed the vent attachment from the dryer to the floor (it was haphazard looking). I only give it a B in price as I'm not sure what the going rate is and it feels like a lot. I would give A- but they don't have that. I bought the Angie's List Deal so that helped. I would recommend doing this anytime you buy a home. We have lived there 7 years. My husband did use a shop vac to clean it six months ago but clearly that is NOT enough, & I really don't know if the prior owners did. I would definitely recommend this company.

We got this deal on a special from the Angie's List site. There was an initial hiccup in contacting us, as I was expecting a phone call and they instead sent an email through the Angie's List site. Once we got that straightened out, I set up the appointment and they came out to perform the service. I have no complaints with the service at all. The tech was on time, polite, and quickly cleaned out the dryer line and the dryer. And it was a significant discount from their normal price, so that was nice too.

Francis arrived on time and explained everything he was goofing to do during his service call. He proceeded to clean my dryer vent pipe which runs about 35 feet. When he checked the airflow at the beginning of his process the flow was at 6mph, and he said that it should be at a minimum of 10mph. When he completed the job, the airflow was at 14mph. We have noticed that our drying time has decreased quite a bit.

Friendly, knowledgable. Arrived 5 minutes early. Explained what he was doing and how the air reading imporved on the before and after. The guard that covers the exit of the vent from the home was deteriorating- he suggested a replacement and I had this completed. I feel confident that the interior coils were cleaned! I would agree with an earlier reviewer that it would be good -and what I expected- if the company would clean up the lint from the back of the dryer and floor, even if this means having to move the dryer. I was looking forward to knowing that the lint behind the washer and dryer was gone, and feel like thie cost of the service does warrant this step. I did have a sliding door in front of the dryer but this is easily taken off- I wondered if this could be an issue- but my understanding is that is not a routine part of the vent cleaning service. .

Arrived on time. Very professional. Friendly and knowledgable. Cleaned and inspected dryer and dryer vent (both inside and outside). Gave recommendations and suggestions. I even purchased a dryer vent cover for the outsside. Highly recommend and use again in the future. Highly satisfied!!

I had lived in this house for 5 years and when I bought it, it was already 5 years old. Since the day I moved in it took two times through on the dryer to get it to dry completely. It never dawned on me to have the dryer vent cleaned out until I saw a rather frightening statistic about home fires and clogged dryer vents. He was on time, very professional and, obviously experienced. He did a complete inpection, suggested and made a very good change to the way my dryer was hooked up, cleaned out the vent and put everything back in place. My dryer works much better now and I have peace of mind. Excellent service provider.

After his inspection, he assured me my heating issues were not being caused by any blockage or buildup of lint in my dryer. He did not clean the vent and recommended I have the dryer checked by a service tech. He spent time with the inspection and our discussions but did not charge me for the service call. He was very professional.

I had been noticing lint was dropping to the utility room floor in my basement from the dryer venting. As careful as I am about always cleaning the lint trap before and after each dryer use and using a long dryer vent brush to clean the hard to reach area, I never had the entire vent checked from the clothes dryer to the outside of the house. James H. arrived right on time, and discovered part of the vent was actually separated. When he removed the vent, it was shocking to see how much lint had accumulated inside the duct work! No wonder there was not a full air flow on the outside of the house! After seeing this, I realized how close to a fire I might have been. He did an awesome job of replacing a section of the vent; thoroughly cleaned behind and around the dryer as well as cleaning out the entire vent line. I chose Dryer Vent Wizard after reading the reviews and used a coupon. They do a wonderful job and only specialize in cleaning dryer vents. I will continue to use this company and highly recommend them!

They were quick. They cleaned up after themselves. It was really nice. When I called them they honestly told me there were cheaper places, but not better places. My dryer has an extremely long vent, so I was worried about it getting clean, and I needed someone that was good. I was pleased.

He did a good job and it only took him about 45 minutes. He had all the proper equipment and knew exactly what he was doing. He showed up on time and was very professional. The man that came out was Francis Coleman he did a great job and I would highly recommend using this company.

We started having this smell in our basement. After checking things out, we decided that it was coming from the dryer vent. After checking Angie's list I decided to call Dryer Vent Wizard. The next day Technician James Hammond arrived. Upon checking the vent he discover a dead chipmunk in the line. I decided to have a complete new line and vent installed. The job went great. He cleaned everything up and installed a vent cover that is rodent proof.
