Drain Connection

Description of Work: John came because of sewer back-up in our basement. He checked out various possible ways to clear the drain that were available in the basement. He then brought in the equipment, worked very hard until it was clear and cleaned all the places that were splattered.

Description of Work: Andy disconnected all plumbing fixtures in the kitchen, laundry and powder room to allow for tear out of all cabinets. He also replaced the old sump pump.

Description of Work: THEY SNAKED OUT A PIPE FOR OUR BATHROOM.

Description of Work: They hooked up my gas grill in the spring. This work included a gas extension from my home.

Description of Work: 2 men came to fix a sink stopper that wasn't going up and down and replace a fill valve in the toilet to keep it from running a little all the time.

Description of Work: Drain connection installed a new underground drain pipe from one side of our house to the curb. This new pipe connected to two downspouts and our sump pump. They did excellent work for a fair price. They used a sod-cutter to remove the grass and a ditch-witch to create the trench for the drain pipe. They hand dug near the house and had to carefully dig near our gas-line, because one downspout was very close to our gas meter. They also had to run the drain pipe under the sidewalk and cut a new hole in the curb. The installation included them placing the sod back in its place. The yard looks like they were not even there; with a little water the grass will re-root and be just fine. There was dirt that did not fit back into the trench, as expected, and they spread it in our backyard. They made it clear at the time of the estimate that they do not haul the excess dirt away. They did all the work as explained and expected.

Description of Work: I called and talked to the owner (Andy). I explained what I thought I needed and we set up an appointment. He was very flexible. I set something up early in the morning.

Description of Work: Two drain pipes from downspouts to street were snaked. One drain pipe was unblocked with the snake. A section of the second drain pipe had to be dug up and replaced because it was broken as a result of tree root damage.

Description of Work: I had 3 problem toilets and two slow drains. John found simple and inexpensive solutions to all my problems and made no effort to sell me stuff I didn't need. His expertise was worth significantly more than I was billed. Highly recommended!

Description of Work: This company installed a new garbage disposal in my kitchen.

Description of Work: John came to my home and repaired one leaking connection, fixed a "stubborn" water valve and snaked a drain pipe from our kitchen sink in the basement.

Description of Work: Please see my initial report for description of excellent customer service on initial basement flooding and estimate/evaluation process. After ground thawed, Drain Connection came and installed a new thicker, heavier drain pipe to the street. This included using a sod cutter to remove the top layer of grass, followed by removal of the existing (broken) drain pipe. They then used a Ditch Witch to excavate a new trough for the new pipe, and replaced the sod on top.

Description of Work: Drain Connection checked all of our downspouts and drains to the street. One drain was cracked, and they replaced it. It was 38 feet, and they drilled a new curb hole. They replaced sod and spread extra dirt. The price included the cost of a city permit.

Description of Work: Andrew came to give us an estimate on repairing the main septic drain line that leaves our house and goes to the septic tank. The old metal pipe in the house had started to leak from years of corrosion. A small part of the pipe was excavated outside of the house. A hole around the pipe was created in the cinderblock basement wall. The metal pipe was replaced with PVC. The wall was patched, and the dirt and flowers outside of the house were replaced. The Drain Connection was one of VERY FEW companies who would actually come to look at our problem. Most companies got VERY SCARED when I said we had a septic tank, even though the issue that needed to be repaired had nothing to do with the septic tank itself. Of the four people that I actually succeeded in having come to the house to give us an estimate, only two actually came through with an estimate. Of the two estimates we received, the Drain Connection was $1000.00 less than the other estimate.

Description of Work: I called Drain Connection to get an estimate for a drain pipe that was not working right (there was water coming into my basement and I determined it was an underground problem). Andy came out that same morning and gave me a very reasonable estimate; $695.00 for replacing the whole line with SDR35 PVC pipe (about 85 feet). My only concern after he left was whether or not I actually needed the entire line replaced or if it just needed cleaning.

Description of Work: Basement Waterproofing. They broke out approximately thirty feet of concrete along part of the back wall where water had previously came into the basement. They re-drilled the weep holes and installed thirty feet of tile refilled the hole with gravel replaced the concrete and installed a floating floor. The new concrete is poured approximately 1/8 inch from the wall in case there is water leakage it will go down that opening and not out on the floor. They also dry-locked two outside walls in the crawl space and installed a battery back up sump pump, which I had purchased. They also provided a ten year guarantee and I have had no problem with water since the new system has been installed.
