Drain Connection

Drain Connection replaced an underground drain line (that had been broken/clogged by tree roots) from a downspout to a runoff area. Dave and Stephen carefully removed the grass/sod, dug up the broken drain line and removed surface tree roots as necessary, installed the new drain line, refilled the trench for the line and replaced the sod. They then tested the new drain line to insure proper water flow. Cleanup in the yard after the installation was very thorough, leaving no excess materials behind and leaving no evidence that the yard had been dug up and a new line installed. Due to a large volume of work and recent, constant rains, it took a few weeks for Drain Connection to get back to replace the drain line once it was diagnosed as broken/needing replacement, but that was a function of circumstances and the non-critical nature of the need for a repair/replacement. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work performed and the price paid for this task.

These guys have a great work ethic. They trenched the tunnel to replace the broken pipe and then buried it. What we found so appealing was the way they cut away the sod in rolls and then carefully replaced it on top. We have 130 feet from the curb to the house on one side and 115 on the other side. They did an amazing and thorough job. If you have need of this kind of job, we recommend highly Drain Connection. Technician came on time. Advised him that gutters overflow all around house. Said he would put hose into gutters and see if flow out onto street, which the did. Took ladder on deck and checked out gutter and showed me how much had accumulated in gutter. Advised that need gutters cleaned. Asked what I paid last time to get gutters cleaned (year ago) and advised $90.00 Was charged $85.00 for time and determining what cause of overflowing rainwater. (They do not have cameras to check out the lines). Technician was polite.

The work went very well. When Andy came on the scheduled day he took the toilet out of his truck and went right to work. It took him approximately an hour. The price of $132.00 included his charge to pick up the toilet. I thought his price was very reasonable. And I am very satisfied with his work and his very pleasant personality. His company has done work for me before and I am always very satisfied with the price and the quality of the work.

The Drain Connection replaced my existing sump pump with a new sump pump and installed a water-powered backup sump pump. I provided the new pumps, and the Drain Connection provided additional parts and labor. The Drain Connection plumber, Noel, was honest, hard-working, and clearly takes pride in his work. It was clear that he wanted to do the job right. Noel said that he had tested the backup pump, and that everything was working well, but he wanted us to leave the water off for 24 hours to ensure the glue was dry. When I turned the water on the next day, the backup pump ran and ran without shutting off. I eventually determined that the float switch for the backup pump was installed upside down! Furthermore, the additional float switch for the battery-powered water alarm was installed incorrectly as well. The instructions said that the float switch was to be mounted on the included bracket; however, the bracket was nowhere to be found! I'm guessing it got tossed with the trash from the job. The alarm float switch was left hanging by it's wire, which was secured to the pipe with a cable tie. I had to fabricate my own bracket and reinstall the alarm float switch and I had to uninstall and reinstall the main float switch for the backup pump. I'm glad I still had the instructions that came with the pump! It just wasn't worth the time and additional hassle of having The Drain Connection come back out to correct the errors.

The initial estimate was conducted and work scheduled for 2-3 weeks later. Actual work hit estimated cost as anticipated. Team was friendly and very professional. Cleaned up and replaced concrete and lawn turf. Excellent job. Would use again.

We first spoke to Andy about coming out during the winter because we were seeing moisture in the basement and noticed the pipe not draining to the street. Appreciated very much that he advised we wait for the consultation because he had been seeing a lot of frozen pipes, which would mean we'd spend our money for him to come out and find nothing. So, we waited for spring thaw and then Andy came out. He was very professional and very honest and upfront about his costs (no hidden costs). I have nothing to compare price-wise, but considering they pulled up sod, dug the trench, installed new piping and connections, tunneled under the sidewalk, created a new curb outlet, and then replaced the sod and gravel, I thought it was reasonable. They did excellent work, left everything looking very nice, and verified that the system was functional before leaving. You could tell the area had been disturbed, of course, but it looked very minimal considering how much had to be dug up. Would definitely use them again!

Angie's List worked again. I chose Drain Connection based on the reviews, and the reviews were right. This is a good company to work with. We have a couple of downspouts/drain pipes that were not draining to the street. Andy snaked one of the lines and cleared it of lots of debris. After that, water flowed perfectly from the downspout to the street. He figured out the other line drained to a different hole in the curb and that's why it appeared it wasn't draining properly. He also looked at a couple of other drainage issues we're having and gave us very reasonable solutions to take care of them. Andy was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated his recommendations and the fact he didn't try to sell us on costly services that would require digging up parts of our yard. We will definitely call him again.

Just gonna make this short and sweet. If you want honesty, call Andy. I can only imagine his positive attitude and professionalism reflects itself in his work. Very happy to have stumbled on this number. I will gladly call Andy for all my drainage solutions in the future.

Drain Connection did fine work cutting up the walkway, installing the drain, and re-concreting the walkway. Work was completely very quickly, and I appreciate the flexibility of changing the style of drain on my request once the job was in progress. This is actually the second job for which I've hired Drain Connection. Last fall (2014) they installed a long, new drain line from our sump pump to the curb. The old line had become clogged with roots. They did a great job digging up the lawn, installing the line, and replacing the sod, all in one day. The cost was $1,500, which was MUCH lower than other quotes I received. The only downside was that the lawn is still (more than 7 months later) uneven all the way along the path to the curb. But the grass is growing--I just need to flatten it out somehow. In both cases, the workers were friendly, hardworking people. One overall critique of the company: Because they are good at what they do and have a lot of great feedback here, they are often booked. You might need to be persistent to get in touch, schedule the project, and then actually have it done. But the price and level and professionalism is worth the wait.

The drain from my gutters and sump pump was pinched off by a large tree root and couldn't be cleared with roto-rooter. Drain Connection ran a new line away from the tree and connected it to the line from my house and solved the problem.

Arrived to do the work as promised. Work done well and in the time frame estimated.

I had Drain Connection out two times to try and troubleshoot a plumbing problem. They spent quite a bit of time with me trying to troubleshoot the problem because it wasn't obvious what it was. I called other big name companies to come out and troubleshoot as well but they did very little and offered to try things but only for a price. It was determined that the toilet stack, floor drain and incorrect toilet seal needed replaced. Drain Connection replaced those things and also snaked the vent pipe as they had access to it when they removed the stack. I no longer have drain issues! The employees were very friendly and even sent me pictures of the pipe after they jackhammered my floor as I couldn't be home while they did it. They cleaned up the work area when they were done. I would definitely recommend Drain Connection for your plumbing needs! I have already recommended them to a co-worker who needs to have his sewer line cleaned out.

They did the work quickly and well and at a lower price than other estimates we received. They filled in the trench and covered it with sod that they had put aside and leveled the ground leaving the yard looking nice.

This went well. The company was punctual and did a good job. The site of excavation was restored nicely.

Called on a Friday since we noticed the connection for the sump pump had a hole and some of the water was draining back down. They came out on Monday and quickly fixed sump pump connection. While they were here I had them fix all the separations in the downspouts. Did a great job. Would recommend. Actually called a second company along with Drain Connection to get a quote and they told be to call Drain Connection even though they didn't know I had already called them.

They were good. They were great. They told me that I didn't need anything done to it. That was good. He called me and said that he was on his way. He was here exactly when he said he would be. He was neat and clean. When I called the number, it went to a recording. I left a message and someone from the company called me back within 10 to 15 minutes. That was good. As far as I know, the price was good. I felt that the people I talked to seemed reasonable. They weren't trying to sell me some huge package.

I purchased 2 new water efficient toilets and brought them home in my car. The plumber removed them from the trunk and unpacked them, carried them inside the house and installed. He checked them out and completed the job.

Called last Friday about a blockage in my downspout after being referred by Gutterworks Plus. Scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. Arrived when they said they would. They snaked out the downspout drains and pulled out a ton of sludge which was the root of the problem. They charged $187.00 for both drains.

Andy and his crew did a great job. They did every thing that was quoted and a little more. The only way it could have been better is to do it for FREE. I would use them again for sure.

Efficient. Sod was saved. Lines work well now.
