Drain Connection

Andy advised me that I could do 1 of 2 things before we got started: (1) I could just replace the knob on my bath/shower since the internal components were not likely going bad or (2) he could replace everything and have to cut into the drywall to enlarge the access panel, which would cost more. Because I wanted to use a lever instead of another knob I had him cut into the drywall. What Andy discovered was that not only was the access panel not really an access panel but merely a piece of wood put up over the drywall to give the appearance of giving access, but that it wasn't even in the correct location to begin with. Therefore, he had to cut a good size rectangle into the drywall to get to the pipes behind the tub/shower. The work took a couple of hours. Now, of course I need to have the drywall repaired and a real access panel constructed since the builders were responsible for creating this situation.

I called the company mid-morning about water around the drain in the basement. The service technician(Darin) arrived at 1:30 as scheduled. He was on time, polite and efficient. It was difficult work as he needed to use his heaviest equipment to reach through the entire sewer line. He put down protective dropcloth on the floors and steps. Everything was left clean and neat.

I was pleased with their service and would recommend them to others.

Darin came out even on the worst weather day so far this year (Jan. 28th). Although he arrived an hour later than our scheduled appointment, I think he did a marvelous job getting to my home so I rated him as punctual. I fully expected a call to cancel the appointment, but he was there, ready to get to work. Commendable. Because of the deep snow, he was more than willing to leave his snowy boots in the entranceway and work sock-footed. He got right down to work. The Price Pfister faucet for the half-bath needed a bit of an extra adjustment to get the pop-up working correctly. I was more than happy to lend a hand. The 2 Moen faucets were installed, without problems, in the upstairs bath. When I had called to make the appointment originally, I had forgotten to mention shuf-off valves. But when he got there, he looked in his supply and was able to find 5 of them. I decided that it wasn't worth another trip (or have him slog out to the hardware store to get one the same day) to install the 6th one on the hot water line in the upstairs bath since the cold water line is most likely to need one if a choice had to be made. Darin also made sure that there were no leaks. After finishing with the upstairs faucets, he checked the downstairs one again and did find a little leaking, which he promptly took care of. He also did a very good job of cleaning up after himself. It was a pleasure having Darin come out to do the work as he is very friendly and has a positive attitude and my dog, who has met him once before, was comfortable with him.

The job was performed quickly and neatly. So far the system seems to be working well.

I called the day after Christmas. They came out the following Monday and decided that the underground utilities needed to be marked before digging. The work was completed on January 5th.

They are very efficient and we happy with the experience. The price was reasonable. They were very knowledgeable and did the job quickly. We are pleased overall.

Work was of good quality. Since we were staying home from work to the morning they were scheduled, we were sensitive to time. They were a little late showing up and left for nearly and hour to find a part. They did not seem very conscientious about tracking footprints through our house. All of the work they performed was satisfactory.

Our neighbors recommended them to us. They were easy to get in touch with. They did stick with the original quote given. The work process lasted four to six hours and they worked pretty efficiently. They were a great company to work with altogether.

I called Drain Connection for their installations after I had torn out all the old cabinetry, some of the drywall and old flooring. They had full access to the interior part of the wall and old plumbing.

Our gutter cleaner had alerted us to the fact that our drains weren't functioning. I called the Drain Connection, who I had used in the past for a similar situation, received a prompt phone response, a timely housecall to assess the problem, and a free, detailed estimate of the work that needed to be done. The actual work was also completed in a timely manner (about a week after the estimate and the labor taking only half of a day) for the cost given in the estimate. Although the yard had to be trenched to replace the pipes, it was barely noticeable, and no damage was incurred to our in-ground sprinkler system. The workers were very polite, professional, and punctual.

No problems. Came on the scheduled day and job was completed before I got home from work.

They were just excellent. They looked for a reasonable way to meet the objectives without unnecessary work and expense. Their quote was a fraction of another quote I got from a larger contractor. I'd use Drain Connection again, for sure!

The only downside was that we also asked them to look at the master bath's toilet that backed up once. A good snaking would have put our mind at ease. The plumber flushed the toilet once and said that it looked good to him. My wife didn't press the issue and the plumber left.

He came out and did a lot of hard work because we even had a little trace of asbestos forming. He fixed that for us and did the work very quick. He is always on time.

They did what they were supposed to do. When they left you could barely tell the lawn had been disrupted. They were very courteous. I'd highly recommend them.

Very well! I called Drain Connection and got a prompt appointment, even though I had no plumbing emergency. The three separate problems to solve were handled quickly and completely!

I wanted to wait until after we'd had several storms before I commented on here. One of our best investments on this old house. Not a drop of water in the basement since this job. Had several neighbors comment on how courteous the guys were, how considerate they were to leave the completed job - if it weren't for the trenches, you'd never know they'd even been here. I have flower beds lined with stone, and he had to move each and every stone to dig the trenchline, and he replaced each and every stone - looked good as new when he was done. He had to hand-dig under 2 sidewalks, that went no problem. Would definitely use these guys again.

It went excellent. They came within twenty four hours and were on time. He had everything he needed with him. He appeared to be very straight forward and explained things well.

Everything went very well. My father-in-law came when they were finished and was very impressed with how the yard looked afterward. You could hardly tell anyone had worked in it, and the next summer the grass had grown back completely. We noticed after the kitchen work that one of the drains in one side of the sink was rusted. We would have liked to have been notified by him since he was working under there, but we will certainly still use him again next time.

Andy is always pleasant to work with. I met Darrin for the first time and he was pleasant as well. Both are professional in their demeanor and fun to joke with. The kitchen faucet was installed with no problems whatsoever. Since we were going to use the hole where the current side spray was for the water filter faucet, Andy had advised me to get a 3-hole faucet with side spray. When Andy checked the running toilet problem, he informed me that the reason for my running toilet was the worn flapper. And the reason the flapper wore out was because I was using bleach tablets in the tank. So, to avoid a certain future problem, I had him replace the flapper in the other bathroom as well. No more bleach tablets! Andy and Darrin also installed my under-sink water filter, which is a challenge. But, they got it up and running. At first, we thought it couldn't be done because of a missing gasket. But since the ice maker was not going to be hooked up, they used that connection instead and it fit perfectly. But then they discovered a part that was causing a leak. So, I ordered a replacement part and they came out the following week to finish the installation. The water filter is working perfectly. As for the ice maker, Andy informed that since my refrigerator was not adjacent to the kitchen sink, he would have to run a line to the lower level (which was finished and not plumbed for it). I decided that the ice maker wasn't all that important and did not have it hooked up. Andy and Darrin did a really good job of cleaning up after themselves and made a point of wiping their feet when they came in the house (especially on the rainy day they returned to finish the water filter installation).

Excellent! The owner came out and did the estimate, was very nice and helpful. We had new gutters/downspouts put in and they added the underground drain pipe for everything to drain to the street. They also added a new sump pump line and tied it into the drain line to make everything smooth and efficient. We have a 1920's home and they were very cautious and did an excellent job. Work went excellent from start to finish. Very professional, efficient and cleaned up after the job.

They were sometimes hard to get a hold of by phone, but always returned calls promptly. The work was good. One year warranty.

They were professional. They cleaned up very well after themselves everything looked the same as before they trenched. They were very prompt and it only took them half a day to do all the work. We would hire them again.

The guy who came out was a little weird but he did get the drain unplugged. I wouldn't have him back but he did do the work. He kept going to the bathroom and making phone calls.
