Drain Connection

Description of Work: We had a broken drain tile in the front of our home.

Description of Work: Andy the company owner came out (on time) and quoted us for a 185ft trench to be dug with drainage to be put in to alleviate a problem with standing water at the back of our lot where the septic leach field naturally flows out. Price included; existing turf removal/replace, re-seed, trench dug, hard and flexible pipe installed with gravel and 3 catch basins to help flow. We had two other "A" rated Angies List companies come out!!! The primary reason we went with Drain Connection was that we needed 3 catch basins put in due to sheer amount of water that flows from not only natural rainfall but the leach field, the other companies quoted just one. Also Andy took as much time with us as we needed to explain and educate us as customer with no "hard sell..." Although their quote was around $250 more expensive due to some additional trenching plus fingers that came off the main trench, we felt 100% sure it would totally take care of our issue which was in the original quote and not tacked on while they performed the work. We would definitely use them again, a smooth experience for an above average sized project.

Description of Work: Rerouted downspouts to drain in the street.

Description of Work: Bathroom tub drain cleaned. Fixed drain pipe leak.

Description of Work: A 15 foot underground gutter downspout pipe was installed.

Description of Work: Had Drain Connection run new pipe from Sump pump and 3 down spouts out to the curb. About 110' of 4" underground drain line. This included tunneling under 2 sidewalks. They used a sod machine to pick the grass up before digging, and put the sod back down when completed. Angled pipes for drainage.

Description of Work: We were having problems with gutters not draining properly. Drain Connections came the same day and snaked out two exterior drains leading to the road.

Description of Work: Outside spigot on the rear of the house needed replaced. The pipes ran through the laundry room, which is unfinished, granting easy access to the work area.

Description of Work: Connected downspout and sump pump discharge pipes to existing drainage line. About 50 feet of excavation and new line.

Description of Work: We had what turned out to be a weird water leak that resulted in an outrageous water bill. Andrew was persistent in diagnosing the cause (a hidden pipe) and quickly fixing it.

Description of Work: The contractor installed approximately 180' of 4" drain pipe, 4 yard drain boxes and 80' of sock pipe to alleviate excess surface water accumulating in our back yard. They ran the line to the street, tunneled under the sidewalk and cut a new curb hole for the line.

Description of Work: The two existing underground downspout drains were crushed at the curb and a ninety degree elbow was also broken. The owner came out to estimate the cost to repair 15 minutes early and gave me a price on the spot.

Description of Work: I had to wait a while to figure out how to report this company.In January, 2005 I put this company on the "pages of happiness" in the angies list publication. I had water pooling in my yard (literally a swamp) They put in extensive/expensive drainage in that was fantastic! In Aug/2009 I had standing water in the yard again near the house. They replaced 22 feet of downspout underground drains. In Sept/2011, I again had water standing in the same area. I called Andy and he sent Jim who was very nice and professional. He snaked the drain and had a converstaion with Andy. Andy told him to cap off the old line. Two days later the water is coming into the basement. The drain connection does not have weekend or emergency contacts. I called leaving multiple messages. I was forced to call a plumber who stated "whatever they did, it was wrong." The sump could not pump out the water. After replacing the sump and still the water not going anywhere, we went outside and saw a fountain coming up where the snaked drain meets the downspout. They had to install an external drainage line to pump the water out. Someone from Drain Connection finally called me back Sunday night to say they would check it out on Monday. I told them what was done. Jim from the Drain Connection came out and then left me a phone message saying "Youre all hooked up. You have good water flow from back to front. There were a few crush areas he took care of." This is now 4 days after it was previously snaked and found to be "clear." I wrote Andy and wanted my money back. I had to have an emergency plumbing service, water in the finished basement required pulling back a large area of carpet, replacing the pad, buying a dehumidifier that ran night and day for 2 weeks and retacking the carpet. Andy called back and basically said he'd refund my money but don't ever call him again.

Description of Work: I used the services of Drain Connection for drains and gutter drains. They did not clean the drains but they had to go underground for the drains from the gutter.

Description of Work: Plumber arrived on time. He installed a new kitchen faucet which we provided. The old faucet was difficult to remove, but he persisted, and the new faucet looks and works great. He also repaired a leaking toilet. He had to go get custom parts for the toilet but promptly returned to finish the job. He cleaned up the environment after he finished.
