Matched a new hardwood floor to the existing floor in my home. They were the only company that even wanted to try it. The quality was amazing and the men doing the work (Keith ad Donny) were punctual, professional, and friendly. Showed up every morning at 7:30. They did all their cutting in my garage and the inside of the house stayed dust-free and totally clean. The floor was laid, sanded and stained in a day. Additional coats of polyurethane (water-based as promised) were applied for the next two days. I can't say enough about how happy I was with my entire experience. Most importantly, my floor looks awesome and blends perfectly with the existing hardwoods in adjacent rooms. I'm not sure all the reviews of this company have been fair, I didn't experience any of the negative things reported by other members. Ask for Keith and Donny to do the work and you'll be guaranteed a great experience.
Description of Work: Laid unfinished flooring, sanded and stained in an effort to match existing hardwood floors.

Earlier, they had put in a kitchen floor for us. They were really good people, and they did excellent work. It was not cheap, but it was perfect. We had a tight schedule. They followed up on things that we had asked them about. I have been satisfied with the work that they did. It was a 12 by 12 room. They had to remove carpets and tack board, sand the floor and polish the floor. They put in oak baseboards. It is probably the nicest room in the house. I would not have an idea how to grade their price; I thought it was a little expensive but seems like it was worth it. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

Set up a meeting with Mike Custer to measure area and discuss options. Mike showed up on time, listened to our requests, took measurements and provided some excellent options. Mike indicated he would reach out to an individual who had installed heated pads and would provide a quote. After waiting a week with no response I sent Mike an e-mail and left him a message via telephone. After another 2 weeks of no response I decided to go with another company recommended through Angies list. I was very disappointed in the lack of response since Deible's has performed installations for other family members.

Mike and his crew at Deible's were excellent to work with. We went from three different floor types and colors in the first floor of our new home to one so we now have the same, beautiful wood floor throughout. Deible's is not inexpensive but this was a big project and we are very happy with the end result. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: They removed existing tile and hardwood flooring, replaced with new wood flooring and worked to match new wood with other preexisting wood flooring. They sanded and stained all wood, worked to make floors more level, rebuilt a couple stairs and replaced wood under a refrigerator that had rot, and coordinated with another contractor who was installing heated floor mats under some of the new floor. They also had wood heat vent covers made to match floor.

My house is in the 43227 zip code. It was built in 1961 with beautiful Oak hardwood floors. I bought it 1986 from original owners knowing that under their carpet were unexposed wood floors. Fast forward 25 yrs., area rugs replaced carpet and 7 lovable shelter dogs passed over them over time, I promised myself I would restore them to their natural beauty. I did a little research with Angie's List, neighbors, builders/refinishers got estimates and the choice was simple. My only goal was to protect my hardwood floors and bring out their aged beauty for me to enjoy along with a few more small shelter dogs. I got what I wanted and I can die happy.
Description of Work: I got two estimates. Both were on Angies's list but they were very different. One company was very low (suspiciously) low. The other was right on what I was told to expect. One company sub contracted with many service providers and didn't appear to have any quality control process in place, the other company employed all their workers, drug tested them and I think did background checks. Once I decided, put down a deposit they showed up on time, called me ahead to give me a heads up, worked in consistent teams and had a quality control process in place. They answered my questions to my satisfaction and were sensitive to the fact that they were putting me and my pets in the garage or basement for 7 days. There was no messing around or delays. Whoopie !! I wish I had more hardwood floors to do.

The estimator showed up as promised and gave us a quote promptly. He stressed the 99% Dust Free process, and the use of water based finishes. The 2 technicians showed up on time. Things started out pretty good, except that there were several boards that I wanted replaced, and had discussed with the estimator, told $25 per board, but not on quote. The lead technician was really surprised and unprepared to replace any boards. They used my flooring materials and still charged me the same price per board. The lead technician informed me that the job would take a LOT longer than quoted. Then the sanding started. Not 99% dust free. Not even 50% dust free! Asked the lead technician about the dust free - he told me it was just the rotary sander that was dust free, the belt sander was not. So much for the dust free claim - although the areas were taped off pretty well, we were cleaning for 3 months to get all the dust. Next came the finish. I asked the lead technician about the finish they were going to use, to make sure it was water based, which doesn't smell nearly as bad as oil based. The lead technician informed me he was going to use oil based, water based costs more. I called the store, and eventually talked to my estimator. At the time of the quote, he told me they used water based finishes as standard, oil based cost extra. Went back to the lead technician, he was adamant that oil based finishes were standard, and they never put on water based finishes. As i was walking past their trailer to get my mail, the 99% Dust Free promise, as well as Water Based Finishes was all over the side of the trailer! The lead technician must think I am gullible! Then I was told that after staining, that they would be back "sometime next week". Again, I was very surprised and not too happy - another WEEK in a hotel! Again talked to the estimator, who expedited the process by a few days. We finally got back into our house, and I would say the quality of workmanship was average at best. The area around the basedboards was not sanded to the same level as the rest of the floor, so you can see the uneven areas very easily, as well as a significant difference in color. There is an area in the kitchen that leads to the living room where the finish is AWFUL - it is uneven, and there are "brush marks" all over the area. It is very noticeable, and disappointing. I called the store again, and was offered a $50 credit, or someone could "come an take a look at it". I did not feel that they really cared or were concerned about the finish. In the end, I would never use them again, or recommend them. The finish is already showing wear, I can't wait to get the floor refinished by another company. By the way, their prices were the same per square foot as everybody else. They were recommended by the Salesperson at the store where we bought our carpeting. I wish I had checked Angies' List before hiring them - I would definitely gone a different way.

We decided to go with another company based on price and also because the estimate included services (like carpet removal) and parts of the home where we did not request in the estimate request (all bedrooms instead of 1). The price was about $700 higher than the company we eventually used.

An estimator came out to my home, and arrived promptly as scheduled. He was very knowledgeable and took considerable time to explain the cause(s) of my flooring problem, as well as to detail several alternatives (differing in cost and scope). He also found some additional issues with the floor that I had missed, which would have been major oversights otherwise. When he left, the estimator told me that I would have a quote via email the next day. Several days later I still had no quote. So I called to inquire and was told it would be mailed. After two more calls, I finally got a quote. While the prices seemed fair, I had a couple additional questions about the quote, so I emailed a reply to the quote asking for some clarifications. I never got a reply and decided it was time to move on. I had heard (via other sources) that this company does good work, and I would probably have used them if not for this bad experience trying to get a quote. Thankfully I found out about their "communications problems" ahead of time.

They had the huge sander vacuum, and put down a coat of polyurethane, and did a little repair on my floors. I am very happy with the results. They replaced a couple of boards. They got it done in the limited amount of time we had for them to work. Given these constraints, they did a great Job! We will go back to them for any other hardwood work we need.

They gave me an estimate of around $8000, which included installation, repairs and material. They seemed to be very professional when they came out, but I had to call them and ask them to send me the quote because they didn't send it on their own after a week of being here. Diebel's previously had installed a hardwood floor in an office at my residence several years ago. I was pleased with all aspects of their service. I recently called them for an estimate for refinishing our current floors and installing a new hardwood floor in another room. A representative came to my home, took measurements, gave good suggestions, and said he would call back with an estimate shortly. Not only did he not call back, he has not returned phone calls or e-mails from me. Since I was happy with the company's previous work, I was willing to wait a little longer than usual for a response. It's unfortunate that they don't value repeat business enough to return phone calls. I gave them an overall "D" rating instead of an "F" because the representative who visited our home was prompt, friendly, and offered good suggestions. Not providing an estimate or, at the very least, returning phone calls is unprofessional.

There were several cracks and there is messy putty in places. I had to make them come out again because the sealer was pealing. Because they had to redo it, it was being sanded again, which cuts back on the years I will be able to maintain the floors and have them sanded later on down the road when needed. I stopped payment on the 2nd half after the floor being wrong and the alcohol incident. I had noticed throughout the job that he had been stumbling, but I thought it was from the fumes from the floor. When I told Mr. Deible about the drinking, he admitted that the man was an alcoholic, but thought that because he was a Christian now, he was no longer drinking. Mr. Deible said that he wanted the bottle in question, so I emptied the alcohol into another container and gave him the empty bottle. I don't know why he wanted the bottle, other than to make sure we wouldn't get proof that the guy had been drinking out of it. Dieble is now suing me for non-payment.
Description of Work: They have done work for me for before. In that case, I was not pleased with the initial job, but they fixed it. We wanted to take the floor up in our old farm house and they came out with prefinished wood. I told them I didn't want that, because dust gets into the little cracks of the prefinished floors. They said they could put in a raw wood so that I wouldn't see any cracks. It should have taken 3 days and it ended up taking weeks.

The work turned out great. I was very happy. They did loose my house key, but they offered to replace my locks. I bought new locks and they reimbursed me for them. They did an excellent job. They arrived at all of the times they said they would. They were polite and friendly. On their recommendation, we opted to spend the money and go with the dustless method, which kept the dust to a minimum in the work areas and no noticible dust in the adjoining rooms. They sanded and stained one day, taking as much time as I needed to adjust the stain to the color and shade I desired. Applied three coats of urethyne over three days. The final coat fish-eyed. They were out in 2 day to lightly sand and recoat the floor with a fourth and final coat. It has been down 4 years now and endures two Irish Setters every day. The floor is still beautiful. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

Overall it went really great. We requested that we get their top guys to do the work, and we were very pleased. They used separate guys to lay the floor, to sand it, and to stain it. We were pleased with all of them. The floors turned out beautiful, and they were very patient with us when we had questions about different kinds of stain. I didn't like having to be out of the home for so long, but that's typical. Since then we've had a problem with the floor, but the owner came out and he is going to fix it. It was put in the winter, and it was extremely dry, and as a result this summer, the floors have cupped uniformly. The owner wasn't sure why it happened, but he has offered to come back out and resand the floor. I don't think the problem was anything that they could've foreseen. He is saying that he will stand behind his work and fix it, and we believe his word. At this point I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Outstanding Job and experience! They came out and estimated the job quickly and competitively. The sales rep went over all my options in price ranges and different flooring. I requested several different estimate scenarios (ie -- kitchen only, whole first floor, etc) which were provided quickly. Really liked their ability to communicate via e-mail. We finally decided to do the entire first floor. We were easily able to schedule the specific installation time we wanted. They kept the time line they quoted and even finished the job early! Felix and Micheal, who installed the flooring, were great. They showed up when they said they would and worked diligently each day. Felix was meticulous in making sure that all the difficult corners, vents, and difficult areas were installed correctly. Both had great attention to detail!! Felecia was nice to work with as well. All were prompt, professional, and very customer focused. Would (and have) recommended to family and friends.

This company was excellent from start to finish. I had heard of this company through some colleagues who spoke highly of it, but when I researched on Angie's List, this company had only a C average rating. However, my experience with some of the A rated companies was lacking (unprofessional on the phone, unreturned phone calls). However, Deible's got my business when they went the extra mile to stay open late when I missed my appointment in their showroom. They spent at least 30-45 min with me, despite my tardiness, going over types of flooring and making recommendations based on my wants. The work itself was then performed in a top-notch fashion. The guys who did the installation were timely and professional. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They did all the cutting in the garage, which was left a little dusty (but they did try to blow most of the sawdust out), but otherwise awesome job! I love the hardwood floors! I would totally recommend this company to friends/family.

Deible's was great. They were able to start very quickly. The repairmen were extremely professional (they even returned a crumpled-up dollar they found when moving appliances out of the way). Even though some trim work was not specified in the original bid, they went ahead and finished off every edge. The end result is just beautiful.
