Custom Air Conditioning & Heating

My central air conditioner quit working over the weekend. I called Custom Air this morning and they had a service person here at 12:30 pm. He diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed it, and suggested some things I could do to increase its efficiency, i.e. trim shrubs that are too close to unit. The technician was curteous, friendly, and very willing to answer my questions. I will definately use them again and will consider them when purchasing a new furnace and A/C system....which is probably going to be soon as mine is more than 23 years old!ral

I was called in advance of the actual service call to confirm the Technition was on his way. good to know so I could plan my day as I was going out of town and had a number of errands to run that day. The Tech was friendly and efficient, keeping me apprised of what he was doing and where he was in the process. He answered my questions completely, providing advice as appropriate. We have used them for 25 years and will continue to support Custom Air with our business.

Custom Air was one of four companies that provided estimates to replace our furnace and air conditioner. Of the four, Custom Air provided the lowest bid for the same or equivalent equipment and service. In fact, one bid was for a less efficient HVAC system at the same price. Custom Air installed a 95% efficient, two stage furnace with a ECM blower and a 18 seer, two stage air conditioner. They arrived to install on time, and it took 1 day to install and a couple of hours the next day to finish sealing the ducts. The installers were professional and efficient. They left the basement clean and did only some slight damage to some plants outside. While they were installing they answered my questions, and let me inspect the open ducts for excess dust and dirt. They corrected some of the return air openings for better airflow. Before I signed the contract, I did request that the sales person do a load calculation the verify the sizing of the AC unit and that did result in a little larger unit. Overall, I must report that they seem to have done a excellent job at the best quoted price. They even made sure that I got a manufacturer rebate of $400 by having me delay purchase until the beginning of the month.

Everything went very well. I called Custom Air on a Friday and met with Scott on Tuesday. He was very informative and provided a detailed quote the next day. The following Friday my system was installed. The installation team was professional and very neat. They covered the floors before walking on them and I had no clean up to do after they left.

They were fabulous. Everyone that came out was fantastic and easy to deal with. There was a slight, minor alteration that the Delaware County Environmental Services Division recommended and they were out immediately to fix it.

i called in the morning around 9:00. The dispatcher said they could try to make it in the afternoon but immediately called back because a customer had cancelled and they could fit me in now. She quoted $82 for the diagnostic. About fifteen minutes later Chad came by. Put on booties to cover his shoes, checked my filter and it was way overdue for a replacement. He made a special trip to get the correct filter and told me the freezone was low but he would need to wait for the diagnostic to be sure. All told it took about three hours. Because i purchased the

They were under warranty, they paid for the parts, but, we had to pay for the labor. They were pretty reasonable and it went pretty smoothly. I give them high ratings and would use them again in the future.

Everybody that I worked with was very nice and professional. They walked me through everything that they were doing and wanted to make sure I understood what was going on. I ended up having an issue, and they came right back and fixed it the following day after I called. I’ve had no problems with them. Their service was excellent. I first worked with the project manager, before they sent the guys out to do the work. The project manager then came back to make sure everything was going well. They were very involved in the whole job and everything went very well. Their pricing seems very fair.

prompt, courteous. Called to say the estimate they gave was too high, and lowered it by $100 :) Workers were in and out in 2 hours, and Scott came by to check that everything was completed. Couldn't be happier

It went well overall. It did take two diff technicians two trips to solve the problem but I trust Custom Air so I am happy with the results. I guess 15 years for these new furnaces is about average life expectancy so with new parts I am hoping I will get another five years out of my Trane. At least I did not have to purchase a new furnace!

We got on their install schedule in less than a week. Our installers were firendly and professional. They took care to cover our carpet and floors as they moved the furnace equipment in and out of our basement. Everything was neatly installed and cleaned up, and they explained what was done to take advantage of our existing humidifier. They helped us qualify for the AEP rebates for higher efficiency equipment and they pointed out documents we needed to qualify for our federal income tax credits. We are back to enjoying our warm house - Yeah! Also, our appreciation goes espcially to Scott, who came out to develop and present our quote on a Sunday! Great service!

Custom Air always does a good job for me and they did it again. I use them annually for routine tune-ups but also call them if there is a problem.

We bought a new furnace and humidifier from Custom Air. Our experience with our sales rep, Dave Wuelfing, was outstanding. Dave provided us with all the information we requested, including additional information that took extra time to acquire. He was helpful and never pushy. It felt that he really had our best interest in mind. After we had the unit installed we had a few minor problems. Dave called us to check on the installation and our satisfaction before we had a chance to call him. He stayed on the problem with us and we were able to get it quickly resolved to our satisfaction. Being a sales rep myself for twenty years I appreciate the professionalism of the rep who is there AFTER the sale. Rare indeed. Many companies sell quality products but the company I want to work with is the one who will be there with you after the sale if you have a problem. I would recommend Custom Air and Dave Wuelfing to anyone.

Frank did a wonderful job inspecting the gas furnace. He discovered the igniter and heat exchanger needed to be replaced and indicated the CO levels were higher than normal. Given the cost to repair the furnace would be high he suggested that we speak with a sales representative about acquiring a new furnace. We met with the sales representative and selected a new furnace and AC unit. The next day we received a call from Custom Air that our furnace was still under warranty and would only have to pay for the cost of the parts. We appreciated Custom Air for checking with Rheem to determine whether the furnace was under warranty and for promptly replacing the worn parts. This action saved us over $6k in not purchasing a new furnace and AC unit. Custom Air has serviced our home for a 18 months and will continue to use their services in the future. We will undoubtedly need to purchase a new furnace and AC unit in the next several years and Custom Air will be the first company we call.

Everything went well. All my questions were answered and installation went smoothly. They removed all old equipment and left work site clean. I also appreciated the good customer service both before and after installation. They did a great job.

Workers were friendly and did a great job. I did a lot of research and their product was rated very highly. It was the combination of good service and good product, which is why we choose them.

It went very well. I reached out to them the day our AC went out, they were at my house the next day and were able to fix the problem without me spending a ton of money on a new unit. They were very responsive and helpful.

We have a yearly contract with them to come and look at our furnace. The service is very good and we like the quality of the work that they do. It is a good company.

We had the compressor replaced a year ago through the home warranty company with another HVAC company that they made us use. The home warranty company made them use a generic compressor rather than OEM equipment. I guess it's an example of "ya get what ya pay for" because the valves went out in less than a year. We still have a problem in that the AC doesn't get the main part of the house cool enough to shut off the AC unit until around 10:00 PM. So, it's running for around 12 to 14 hours straight every day. Custom Air did what they needed to do to fix the AC unit and the air it puts out is cold. However, they are sending a (sales) engineer out to see if the ductwork needs to be changed or increased to put more cold air in the main area. I will update or add a new review when that's done.

Ok I get it when your AC goes out on the weekend it is going to cost a more to have someone look at it, but double? $165 just for the tech to come out and look at it then $165 an hour to repair it. Ok given the heat I was willing to do something, but the attitude of the tech calling me was unacceptable. He left me with the distinct impression I was annoying him and he did not want to come out. He was very short and somewhat rude. I know they are rated well, but this experience was terrible. Not only did they lose out on a repair I know we need to replace our system at some point - lost out on that too. Guess they have enough business so their tech?s act anyway they want.

They arrived earlier than expected, but with a call ahead. Were quick and honest with their work, did not sell me on anything extra. AC works great!
