Description of Work: The house and attic were inspected and the trespassers were identified. Within a few days the squirrel was captured and repairs were made to prevent reentry. Several additional screens and caps were installed as preventative measures.

 + -1 moreThey are extremely hard working, clean, efficient, professional and dependable. This whole thing had cut my heating bill by at least 20%. I would definitely recommend them to others.
Description of Work: I had critters in my attic upstairs. There were places of my attic with had insulation and some areas that were insulated. Mice had created tunnels in the insulation. They suggested that we get new insulation. A team of two guys came in with traps and insulation. They worked from 10 in the morning until 6 in the evening. it took them about 5 hours to get the old insulation. I appreciated the fact that they used different tubes. They used one to remove the old insulation and another to put the new insulation in. They were very careful and thoughtful. They came back the following day to do some sealing. They put a new chimney cap, repaired any holes in the chimney, and put up coverings where they thought critters would be able to access my home.

 + -1 moreWhen Tom came back to install the one-way bat escape valve in the fall, my husband was home. He and Tom decided if they could encourage the bats to leave (with the help of a spray bottle full of water) then my husband could install the screening himself for a savings of 170.00. This was greatly appreciated. In fact, due to the fact that the screens were installed immediately after the bats took off there was no need for the escape valve. Tom then cleaned up all of the bat droppings. These dropping can be harmful to humans and a respirator is required. Initial visit, and inspection was $270.00 & final visit re: removal was $99.00.
Description of Work: We were in need of removal of bats from our attic. There was a hole in the insect netting behind the louvered venting in our attic area. This allowed the bats to take up residence. In addition, this was on what would be the 3rd level above ground at the highest point of the roof-line. Tom M. was polite and professional and extremely charming. Especially, when he had to inform us that the bats in our attic could not be removed that day due to them being a protected species here in Ohio. UGH!!!! By no means his fault but it was not very comforting. He entered the attic, discovered the point of entry, took a head count, explained the process of removal and then did a overall house inspection to see if there were other points of entry - for any critters. He left us with 2 different pricing options. One for bat removal only, and the other for bat removal and the replacing of the netting to prevent further invasions as well as other recommendations re: possible entry points. This occurred in late spring and the bats could not be removed until late summer, early fall - by law.

 + -1 moreI called because I thought I had a squirrel nesting in my attic/louver vent. They came out the same day I called. I was told up front what their service charge was and what that included. Also was able to get discount for being an Angie's list member. Fortunately there were no squirrels just birds, but he completed a full inspection of the house, attic, and roof for any possible problem areas. I was presented with a full inspection report with recommendations and quotes for work. I went ahead and had them screen the louvered vent and spray for insects, which birds nesting in there could bring into the house. I was impressed with how thorough the inspection was and when time and money allow will definitely follow up on some of the recommendations. Jeremy was very professional and explained all of his findings and recommendations clearly without high pressure to buy his services.
Description of Work: Inspected the area where I thought an animal had gotten into the house, inspected the attic, roof and house, and screened the louvered vent and sprayed insecticide around where birds had been nesting.

 + -1 moreThe tech was there for 1/2 hour and basically chased the squirrel out of the house. Original price was over $300. Everyone that I talked to said that seemed really high for one squirrel. After I called them, they didn't bill me the $60 for removal because they didn't catch the squirrel.
Description of Work: They came out on a weekend to remove a squirrel from my living room. My issue is with the cost of their service as it seems awfully high for the work they did. If I compare this to other specialized services, the per labor hour is very high.

After a week, they came and removed the device and caulked the small area that allowed the bats to enter the house. It wasn't attractive for the week the device was up, but it got rid of the bats.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. Critter Control is very professional from start to finish. The operator who answers the phone is very friendly and asks detailed questions. The technicians are very friendly and take a lot of time to explain the problems they have found. They are also very careful not to make messes in the house. This is our second experience with Critter Control and we would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: We called Critter Control after hearing an animal in our attic. Critter Control came within 3 hours, investigated, and determined that a raccoon and birds had been in our attic. They inspected the entire house and found the points of entry and other at-risk points. Critter Control set 2 traps on the roof for the Raccoons. Critter Control covered three louvered vents with steel mesh painted to match our house. They also installed steel mesh covers over the attic fan and two roof vents. They sealed a hole in the soffit where birds were entering the attic.

Ben did provide a list of items that he recommended we address to prevent the entry of bats or rodents. I felt that his prices for each item were much too high. For under a day of work, the total for all fixes he recommended totaled about $1,400. We did not proceed with his recommendations and instead might choose to address the items ourselves or have a handyman do them for us.

 + -1 moreThey were professional but I feel like they took me to the cleaners by the end. They put traps on my roof and within ten minutes they were caught. They reset the traps after no more squirrels had been caught. When i went to work they said that four squirrels had got in. The traps were empty for three days. Two squirrels were caught, then they left and within an hour two more were caught. i would not use them again or recommend them. when it came to customer service they were great but their work was horrible.

When it became apparent that Critter Control was not going to be able provide a cost effective solution to our outdoor problem (determined in the first 5 minutes), the technician still wanted to charge $169 for the consultant. After speaking with his manager, the cost was reduced to $85. This was not consistent with the description in Angie's List that indicates "COST IS DETERMINED BY THE JOB. NO TRAVEL CHARGES." I will not contact this provider again.
