Description of Work: A full tune-up of a walk-behind mower was performed. Very minimal maintenance has been done on this mower for 12 years. Price was as discussed and the mower was ready a day before the range given. Only downside was that there was a bit of a misunderstanding whether the blade would be replaced. We discussed the possibility of replacing the blade, and I assumed they would confirm with me if I wanted it replaced in the end, whereas they assumed I had already approved replacement. However, I will give them the benefit of the doubt on that one. A bit difficult to get through on the phone, but everything else was 'done right'.

Description of Work: Como Mower tuned up my old Snapper mower, including oil change, air filter, spark plug and blade sharpening. Some drive parts were found to be worn and in need of replacement. Service was prompt and the mower was returned to me clean with a tank of fresh gas. Not a negative, but the service technician warned me up-front that due to the age of the mower, parts may not be available. Since the mower has been fine for our needs and starts every time, I felt it was worth the investment to keep it running a couple more years.

Description of Work: I had been having trouble starting my Toro mower with electric starter in the fall. I received a Como flyer in the mail for a winter service special for a complete lawnmower tune up for 72.95 plus parts -$5 Angie's List discount. This service package included seasonal maintenance like oil change, sharpen and balance blade, replace spark plug and air filter. In addition it included a carburetor overhaul and replacement of gasket and cylinder head. They picked the lawnmower up for free as part of the special. I when it was finished I stopped in to pay and they gave some advice for keeping it running well. They answered a few questions I had. I believe they transported it back to my house for me. I have used Como before and plan to use them again in the future.

Description of Work: While Como was doing a tune up on my mower in January, it snowed heavily and I wanted to use my Toro snowblower but the last time I had tried to use it, the snowblower had started leaking gasoline and I had drained the gas and left it unused for several years. So I called Como and described my problem. They advised a complete tune up and allowed me to use the winter special listed on the flyer I had received in the mail $62.95 + parts - Angie's List discount $4.40. They checked the compression, replaced the spark plug, replaced the fuel line, cleaned and rebuilt the carburetor and flushed the fuel tank. I dropped the snowblower off at the shop and picked it up. They advised me on ways to keep it running well. I have used them in the past and will use them again in the future. The snowblower ran well after the servicing.

Como mower has been my choice for years as the service is always great and the folks are friendly and very professional. A great place, always has been and I suspect it always will be.

Description of Work: We recently purchased a new lawnmower from Como and received excellent customer service. Differences between each mower were explained to us. We purchased the mower recommended by the salesman based upon our description of our needs. I figured he'd try and sell us a high end mower but his recommendation was one less expensive than I would have thought. The mower was delivered the next day and has been great. I've had wonderful experiences with Como in the past with service on our old mower and plan on continuing with them on future service for our new mower.

Description of Work: Had chain saws repaired. The person (don't remember his name) who did the work was very knowledgeable and experienced. We also had our old push mower tuned up and blades sharpened a year ago, cost approx. $80.

Description of Work: I can just submit a general report on Como Mower. I have been doing business with Como for years. I have purchased a snow blower and a lawn mower from them and have been totally satisfied with their knowledge and price. When I purchased a lawn mower I traded in an old mower and received a fair deal from them. I am most impressed with their knowledge and willingness to help. I have found them to be very friendly when I have visited their store and more than satisfied with the quality of their repair work. Last summer I stopped by to drop off a lawn mower blade for them to sharpen. I asked when I can return to pick it up and they said that they would sharpen it while I wait. I was out of the store in less than 5 minutes. I strongly recommend Como for any purchase or repair to yard equipment. Yhou won't be dissapointed.

Description of Work: Have had a problem with a Tecumseh engine for over 3 years and have had two different small engine mechanics work on it but they were never able to make it run right. Doug at Como got ahold of it and he really worked on it and it runs GREAT! Very professional people and would strongly recommend them to anyone.
