The repair person arrived on time. He quickly assessed the situation and started working on the placing the roller back in alignment and replacing both of the coils. All of the work was completed in less than an hour and they honored my coupon which reduced my costs by $35. What I most appreciated was the fact that I was able to schedule an appointment on Wednesday and they arrived on Friday of the same week. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

The repairman replaced the broken spring. He also offered advice on the proper way to lube the spring, rollers, and hinges for the door using a mix of 25% motor oil, and 75% WD-40 (the liquid, not aerosol).

Not only were they on time, but the workman was very efficient. After he finished he gave me some detailed tips on how to maintain my garage door motor, etc. Seems like few companies give you advice on how to save on service--these folks are top notch!

They replaced our 60 year old garage door. Nice work. The door looks great. They arrived on time, did the work and replaced a broken part that was not part of the original estimate.

I needed a new door that was original to the house ('88). I called Graf and Sons based on their ratings. Mike , the sales representative came to the house on time. I had been checking prices all summer and the price was comparable to others. I had a Clopay 2" thick insulated door with windows and Oydessy #1000 3/4 hp belt drive with keyless entry pad installed. The workman came out exactly on time and did an excellent installation and cleanup. I think the garage was cleaner than when he came. He spent plenty of time going over the working of the new opener with my wife and me.

I called at 8AM Tuesday when my door would not open. Lovely, professionsl woman helped me diagnose a broken spring. I was scheduled for a repair for Friday, but received a call back with an opening the same day. Within 4 hours of calling, one happy customer and a working garage door. Thank you. With several inches of snow on the ground and more on the way, I am happy to have my garage door working again.

I called on Tuesday and a very knowledgable gentlemen showed as scheduled on Wednesday. He replaced the spring in timely manner then went over the best way to maintain the doors for long life. He was terrific. Graf and sons replaced the door several years ago and we were pleased at that time. We will definitely call them again if we need them.

They did a great job from start to finish. We were getting ready to shop for a new garage door when the spring broke. They came out that day to provide a temporary repair to the spring so we could use the door. We visited the showroom to pick out a new door. The sales rep was very informative. He later came to our house and measured the opening to make sure they ordered the correct size. He took a picture of the house and emailed me pictures of what different styles of doors would look like on our house. They called and scheduled the appointment at my convenience. The installer was very friendly and did a professional job. He took the time to explain the basic maintenance of the door and spring and the features of the opener. From first phone contact to completion, everyone was courteous and punctual. Cleaned up and instructions clear.

We began shopping at a garage door company with a showroom so that we could see what we were buying. Brian was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions. We had planned to comparison shop at two other showrooms but felt comfortable with their price and the quality of their garage door and door opener. Wayne, the installer, arrived at the appointed day and time. Before starting, he told us how long it would take to remove and replace the door and door opener. Upon completion, he explained all of the features of the door opener, including the remote controls, and programmed the outside keypad.

Installation went well except that one month later stuffing that the installer put into the ends of the weatherstripping channel fell out and onto the driveway. Service was requested. The service person removed the factory supplied weatherstripping and installed a different weatherstrip and stuffed a piece of material into each end about 3 inches. With the next rain, we had water leaking into the garage in several places. I phoned Graf. Our sales rep does not return calls so spoke with someone in repair. He said he would check into the issue and call me back. In the meantime, I contacted the manufacturer, Clopay. Their rep suggested I stuff plastic bags from the grocery store or a hose in the round, flimsy weatherstrip. That suggestion was an alarm that there is a known issue with the weatherstripping/door style. The manufacturer stated that the install company should take care of any issues in regard to the door leaking. The Graf service rep called back earlier this week to report nothing can be done to correct the issue which he said must be caused by an uneven garage floor. Graf refuses (stonewalled) to resolve the leaking issue or replace the door with a higher quality door with weatherstripping that does not leak. Today, October 6th, it is raining in Columbus, Ohio, and we have much water running into our garage between the cement floor and the weatherstripping in several places. The weatherstrip is quite flimsy. If you could see this weatherstrip, you would understand why we are having the water issues. Pictures are available. I just returned from the garage...needed to replace the newspapers that are soaking up some of the water on the garage floor. The garage door is now leaking at both ends and in the middle. This has never happened in the past 30+ years. We have lived in our home for 33 years and it was the original garage door that Graf replaced. In full disclosure we had one small leak with the old door. That was where a trapped (inside) chipmunk had chewed away a small section of weatherstripping. The leak was small and was not an issue. I mentioned this to our sales rep and he stated the new door, etc., would solve that problem. Graf customer service is at an all time low. Do not purchase a Clopay garage door.

They were prompt, knowledgeable and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend them.

We've used Graf & Sons for more years than I can count, and have always had a great experience with them. We called one day, explained our problem, and they were here to fix it the very next day. The technician was cheerful, fun to talk to (as we commiserated over how old our unit is), experienced and spot-on with the technology. We're going to replace the door and opener next year and definitely plan to call Graf & Sons.

Went well. Was punctual (would have preferred same day service but next day was OK too), did the work in less than an hour and cleaned up mess afterwards.

I think he's good. The deal covered everything. I'm satisfied with his service. The price is in the right range.

They came out in the afternoon as promised, and quickly replaced the spring on the door.

When I got home and after a few opening and closings of the door I told my husband that something was not right. He called Graf & Sons and they sent out a repairman. This time they stated that there was another problem and we needed a bearing and imagine out surprise when we were charged again for both labor and parts. I expected the door to be examined and fixed on the first visit. If the the repairman did not repair the door the first time then the cost should be on the company.

It went very well. I called that morning and they came later that same morning. I have a cluttered garage, so they moved everything and when they were done put them right back in place. It went extremely smooth and they finished on time. I would recommend them.

The experience I had with Graf & Sons Inc. was fine. It ended up being a different problem than I thought. I didn't know what I needed until they came out and adjusted it. They were good about that.

They gave us same day service. We called at 8:00am, were given a window of 12:00 - 4:00 that same day. I think they arrived around 2:30 and completed the service in less than 30 minutes. We're very satisfied. They were very professional and quick. We would definitely call them again if we needed service for our garage door.

One of our garage door's springs broke on Friday 6/28/2013. After checking Angie's list for garage door companies, we called Graf. They were able to set up an appointment for early the next Monday (7/1/2013) morning. Jeff, the repair specialist, called before coming. He arrived at 8:45 am and was courteous and explained what he needed to do to replace the broken spring. I asked about the other spring and he gave me the option to replace it also or not. Since it was almost 20 years old, I figured it was ready to be replaced. He gave me a fair price and honored the Angie's list's $25 discount coupon. Jeff completed the installation and lubricated the tracks, springs and door and was finished by 9:30. Jeff was very professional and I would recommend he and Graf anytime.
