Contacted them for an estimate, chose them over two others, not the cheapest by far, but carried a name brand door, double wall and insulated. Initial quote estimated door not to be available for 14-18 weeks, surprised us when they called to tell us door was in after 3. They did work with us as we were making repairs to the garage door area. Installed door by Brandon who did an outstanding job. All is well at this time.

The garage door spring broke and my wife immediately called them. Was able to get next day appointment, with a few caveats since I had other appointments elsewhere. Trey called to say he could some early if that fit into my schedule. It did so, and he was able to replace spring efficiently and without issues, allowing me to keep outside appointment

I heard something pop in the middle of the night. Wasn't sure what it was until I went to open my garage door on the way to work. I was locked in for a little bit until Columbus door sales could get Bert to come out. They are an awesome company. Their approach is really "can do." They had Bert out within a couple of hours. He was able to repair the spring and check the entire operating system without a problem. He knew what he was doing and had me up and running. They have been my "go to" company for my garage door needs four years. They have my highest recommendation. Every service call they have been punctual, knowledgeable, personable, and fixed the problem on the first try. Their prices are very reasonable.

A live person answered the phone when I called to request emergency service. The repair person was at my house in under two hours. He was quick, efficient and friendly. I will definitely use this company again.

Talked with them on Monday. They came Tuesday at 1030 AM. They also called 30 minutes before arriving and arrived promptly. They were very efficient at replacing our old opener with the new one and my husband and I felt the cost was very reasonable. We would definitely hire them again and we are very happy with the new opener and quality of work.

It was around 3 winters ago that I recalled hearing a noise in the garage. I even had enough sense to think that it may have been a torsion spring that broke. Yet, when I checked the cold and dark garage, nothing looked out of place. Then, over the past couple winters my Genie garage door opener would sometimes fail to raise the door completely (typically when the temperatures where below freezing). It would require just a little help from me pushing it up. I didn't realize one of the two torsion springs had actually broken. I didn't realize that the torsion springs were within a tube on my Wayne Dalton door (TorqueMaster One torsion springs...they have setting dials on both ends...originally installed in 2004). Then, on a Sunday this past May, the other torsion spring broke. That is when it really gets your attention. That is when an opener cannot possibly open the door, and it makes terrible noise in its attempt to do so (as it becomes toast). That is when you realize just how heavy your garage door truly is (mine is 171 pounds). For the past few years I had been thinking about getting a garage door opener that had backup power. Now I was forced into action. With a visit to Angie's list, and based on reviews, I made the decision to select Columbus Door Sales, LLC. I sent them a message thru this service, and Monday morning I got a prompt callback. By then I had done my homework, understood what had occurred, and what I wanted (Liftmaster 8550W). Greg D arrived right on time that Monday afternoon. He was courteous, and very efficient as he went right about his work. He showed me how to properly lube the garage door. He even asked if I would like to have him remove the manual garage door lock, as it has drawbacks if locked, forgotten, and then one doesn't unlock the door before engaging the opener. I saw my neighbor across the street have that happen to them, which was a very costly repair for them, so I took Greg up on his offer. Greg also assisted in getting my Homelink programmed in my 2017 car, and explained why my older 2005 car with Homelink wouldn't work (newer frequency standards). Besides the immense benefit of being able to enter and exit during a power outage, the LiftMaster 8550W also allows me to control and monitor the garage door via an app on my iPhone. The app has worked excellent. How nice to know that if needed I could allow a family member that doesn't live with us entry into our house, as besides being able to control my alarm, I can now control the garage door remotely. It has been an excellent tech upgrade. I couldn't be happier with the work by Greg D of Columbus Door Sales. I HIGHLY recommend this company. The $815 price reflects replacing two torsion springs for my 7-foot garage door for a two-car garage, replacing my old Genie with a backup power & internet capable LiftMaster 8550W opener, 1 keypad, & 2 remotes. The motor and belt have a lifetime warranty, parts 5 years, and the accessories and battery backup come with a 1 year warranty.

After-hours charge was high, but the guy who responded was funny and very professional. I decided not to repair it again when I heard how much more it would be on top of the after-hour fee. Brian called this morning and said that since this opener has a known issue and it had already been repaired in the past, he waived the after-hours fee I paid and he's going to get it fixed for me tomorrow. I'm so thankful that they are interested in keeping me as a customer, as I was ready to replace it with someone else.

All work done well and promptly. Technician was pleasant and experienced.

The installation was uneventful, just like you want it to be.

We originally got our garage door from Graff and sons. They were bought by Columbus Door Sales a few months later. When we originally bought the door, it was on the condition that we would be able to paint the door to match our house. Graff and sons told us that we could paint the door any color as long as it was within an approved color range. They explained that the paint could cause damage to the door if the color was too dark. We submitted a paint sample and they approved the color for the door and trim. We checked with them at least THREE times before we painted the door to make sure that the paint would not ruin the door. Less than a year after painting, the trim started to peel off of the door. We called to report the problem and Columbus Door sales came to inspect the door. After determining that the door was defective, Columbus Door Sales offered to replace the door. We specifically asked if we needed to change the color. We re-submitted a paint sample to Columbus Door Sales and they said it would be fine. They replaced the door and said the problem was caused by a glue issue that the company had resolved. A year after painting the new door, we had the same problem. A new representative from the company came to inspect the door and said it must be the glue, but asked for a sample of the paint color. We explained that we had already submitted a paint sample and had it approved TWO SEPARATE TIMES, but we gave it to him anyway. It turns out the last two guys lied. The color was too dark and caused damage to the door. The company then refused to help us even though they were the ones that approved the door color TWICE. We even offered to pay the difference for an upgraded door. The company representative kept saying he would see what he could do. We heard nothing back for months. I finally called and ask to speak to the owner. The woman that answered the phone wouldn’t give me a name or number of someone I could talk to. She transferred me to the “guy in charge of scheduling". He said he would look into the problem after I explained everything. I called back twice. I still haven’t heard back. This was a year ago. And to top it off I have had to tighten the belt drive on the garage door opener every year as it keeps coming loose. I have dealt with a lot of contractors the last 10 years and this is by far the worst. So now after less than 4 years, we need to get a new garage door.

Within a day of requesting service, a technician was sent out and the door was repaired. The technician arrived promptly. He diagnosed and fixed the problem within a very short time.

Mike came out to do the initial estimate. He was knowledgeable and friendly. No high pressure sales. We like him so much and how affordable the job would be, we didn't even get any more estimates. On the day of install, the installer showed up on time. He was professional and nice. Work was performed in the time he quoted (about 6-7 hours) and he cleaned everything up after. Before he left, we went over the new openers and programmed the external panel. Love this company and will definitely do business again with them in the future.

Greg arrived on time and was so friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable in this area. Educated me on maintaining a properly working door and even gave me the formula to spray on the hinges and rolling parts. It was just a pleasure dealing with him. Am passing out his info to my coffee meet up neighbors tomorrow. Received a senior discount as well.

The guy was very nice and came out and adjusted, but in a few months we had the trouble all over again. So it was not like a permanent solution. They certainly did their job. I am uncertain on future use. They seemed respectable.

This is the second time using this company. The company explained that one of our garage door springs had broken. They called before arriving, were on time, and were very professional. We have no complaints at all.

I decided to replace my old heavy manual garage doors for new steel insulated automatic door. They provided all labor, removal, disposal, installation, and materials. From the first contact with Christine, the first visit with Mike, and the actual installation with Wayne and his colleague, they were cordial, punctual, and efficient. They work with good products, in a variety of designs, and good prices. Our garage has odd proportions and the installation required some extra lumber work (as previously disclosed and agreed with them). They did a great job, and took care of absolutely everything. The job was done quickly and professionally.

Our garage door had a complete failure. The pins flew out of the rails and flew throughout the garage. One of them left a dent in the wall. The garage door itself was half up and half down. Total disaster. They came on time and gave an estimate as well as information on types and kinds of garage doors. We wanted to special order a nice door. We were ready to order when the salesmen persuaded us to visit the show room. It was well worth the visit as we ended up purchasing a less expensive door than we had originally planned. It went very well. the technician who did the work has very professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. I'm sorry I don't remember his name. He was very nice and gave me reasons for putting the remote where we did. I would definitely recommend them.

My garage door wouldn't go down after I pulled my car out. I disconnected the opener and shut the door. I have an older opener and what I appreciate most about Columbus Door is that they didn't immediately say that the opener had to be replaced. They took it apart and looked at it first. They determined that the chain had slipped and needed to be shortened. I didn't need a new opener.

The service was perfectly fine. We are very happy with the service. There were no additional charges to the $245 Big Deal purchase price. We like that they were quick to come and fix our garage door and they were easy to work with. We did not have any dislikes. We did not have any problems.

Their service is very prompt and well-done. I've lived in this house for 33 years. When it was built by the previous owner, this is the company they used for the original garage doors. If I have any problems at all, I call them and the guy stops to fix it on his way home. Their charges are not exorbitant. When I realized I needed new doors, I just called them. I now have lightweight aluminum doors I could operate quite quickly. My old doors were wooden and very heavy and I just couldn't lift that weight anymore. So they put aluminum doors in with windows. The service was well done and prompt. If I have any issues at all, I just call them. I'm located between one of the workers home and their office, so he just stops on this way home and fixes whatever I need.
