They were quick to respond to getting the door put in. The price was in the middle compared to other quote I got. I received an Angie's List discount as well. Good job and I was really pleased w/their work.

The coupon they offered in the publication was $20 off any service or repair. Their normal service is $95. However, since they helped me out over the phone, they didnt charge me any money.

Spoke with Doug. After talking for awhile he stated his actual price was $950. However, he thought I was already working with his competitor so he offered me $850 to get my business. While I appreciated the deep discount ($100-$200 less than other company's), I placed a call to a company I've used twice before and they agreed to match the $850 price to keep me as a satisfied customer. Therefore we decided to use a company we were familiar with. I probably will not choose Graf & Son's for any future needs. I felt the pricing game was shady.

They arrived about an hour, after we called. We have one car and it was stuck behind, that broken door. We couldn't even open it manually to get out. We were very happy they could get to us so quickly. They were able to fix the door without any problems.

The installer was late and was suppose to put in a key lift pad and didn't get that done. He was suppose to come back the following day to finish it and never showed. I had to make multiple calls, but they did eventually get it installed. The wiring that was suppose to be cleanly done was not done in a nice workmanship manner.

They were prompt, did what they said they would do, courteous and the price was right. I would use them again if necessary.

The whole experience went well. I called on a Monday, and he was able to come out on a Wednesday. He called ahead of time to let me know when he'd arrive. Very quick and competent. Used Angie's List coupon for $20 off.

I called them on Friday afternoon and they came promptly on Monday morning. He worked for about an hour and explained the whole procedure to me as it was being done and made suggestions for the future.

I was unable to get my car out of the garage and they came within 48 hours of my call. I would use them again.

I had to contact the manufacturer to ask for their assistance, listing all necessary details of issue and their response was " have the installer honor the warranty by installing a new unit." Jeff Sickle of Graff & sons doubted me. So I forwarded the correspondence. Then he calls me back and starts with verbal game playing. Very unprofessional, has become a health hazard, and security issue. Way too aggravating. 2/19/07-issue resolved to satisfaction.

The spring broke on the worst day of our winter, trapping both of our cars in the garage. I called several businesses who were unable to offer same day service. The technician at Graf returned my call, reviewed schedule and manpower constraints, and was able to make a premise visit and do the repair all by noon. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous.

Dave, technician, was prompt, polite, very helpful, and gave advice about the maintenance of the door in case I have another problem. When I let them know I found them from Angie's List, he told me to get on the Internet so I could get my coupon for 10% discount because I couldn't find my magazine.

I have an old garage door with frayed cables that another company couldn't touch. I was referred to Graf & Sons and they said they could do it. The employee was great and had new cables up in about an hour. They even had a coupon! Thanks!

They are just great. They get here when you need them. They are honest about their cost.

This company was very responsive with returning calls, providing estimates, and completing the work. They had to special order the door and provided an accurate estimate of when they would be able to complete the work. They provided the lowest estimate of the three that I obtained.

Called for garage door opener repair. The door mechanism is over 20 years old. I was told someone would be out the next day between 12 and 4-asked to be called before coming to be sure I'd be home. Received a call at 1:30 from Dave who said that he would be here within 20 minutes. The truck pulled in right on schedule. After I explained the symptoms, Dave and his partner went to work. Dave commented that the garage door opener unit was very old and that we really got our money's worth from it--so naturally I was thinking the whole thing would need to be replaced! I was pleasantly surprised, when after about 45 minutes, Dave came in, said all was working well. He explained what was causing the malfunction and what they did to fix it. When I went to pay the bill, I commented that I found them on Angie's List. Dave asked if I had the AL coupon-that saved us $20 on the bill!! Very positive, great experience-from phone call to repair-everyone friendly and professional. Job well done!

Went well. They were very clear that there would be an emergency service price so there was no misunderstanding. Some screws were left on the garage floor afterwards to spoil an otherwise excellent score.

It went well. They did a good job installing the door. They willingly came back after the job was complete to fix a small problem.

Not so great. The first sales rep was not very clear in his explanation of what they would do, how and why. They never got an official estimate to us. I called to follow up a few days later, left a message for him and never heard back. I called again because Graf and Sons has a good reputation, left another message and eventually heard back from the sales rep, who was quite off-handed and condescending on the phone. Another sales rep contacted us, came out to give an estimate and was much more professional, but the bad impression had already been made. Also, Graf wanted to install a wooden frame before installing the door and it was not clear why this was necessary. Other well-reputed contractors did not propose such a structure. Also, the price difference between garage doors with and without steel on the inside was much higher for Graf than for the folks we went with, Sanford and Son.

The took to the time over the phone to give me an estimate to replace my garage door. They also answered all of my questions and explained things about the door and opening system. Their price was about $200 higher than the next lower bid. Very friendly and professional.
