The person who did the above tasks did it really quickly and cleaned up after the work was completed. Very, Very Pleased! I have used their services about 5 times before and will hire and use their services again and again in the near future. I am so happy with their work, I will be contacting them to assist in the remodeling of my 60 year old home very shortly.
Description of Work: 1.) Repaired and replaced 2 gutters that were blown down. 2.) Moved a heavy duty dryer plug in the basement. 3.) Moved the dryer itself to the otherside of the basement and had it working. 4.) Cleaned out all of the dryer lint out of dryer which had accumulated for over 10 years.

The person they sent did an excellent job, quick (job done in 2 hours) and very skillful. He did not only clean up the dirt from the job, but also filled the holes left on the wall. The range hood was installed beautifully! We had some confusion about the final price, because it was not the same as what I was told when I called to schedule the service. However, the owner Mike explained the reason and resolved the issue. I am satisfied with the final results.
Description of Work: Need to remove the existing microwave and install a range hood which can vent the air out.

We obtained the proper cartridge for replacement and gave it to the repairman and were told it would be $75.00 to fix it. The man apparently ran into some problems as he was here off and on for 3 or 4 days? He was unable to get the water to flow properly so finally his ''boss'' came out to see if he could fix it. The boss said he then fixed it. However upon my inspection- the faucet works like this: As you turn the knob from Rt to Lt first you get cold water, then the water turns off! Then keep turning then it becomes hot! There is no way to get warm water to use the shower so essentially, the shower is not usable- just like before. I wouldn't recommend this co. for any plumbing jobs! Whether they will come back to try and fix it properly or refund our $ is yet to be determined.
Description of Work: One of the repairs consisted of replacing a faucet cartridge in a shower- the faucet handle works such that you turn the knob from right to left, beginning with cold water and turned all the way to the left would be the hottest setting. The cartridge was clogged with sediment, not allowing the hot water to flow- we were told by a plumber and the inspector of the home that a new cartridge is needed.

They were very friendly and confident during first contact. They showed up for work on time. Everything seemed to be going fine. I don't like to stand over people when they are trying to work, but I feel I should have during this job. What I thought and was told that would take approximately 3 to 4 hours of work turned into 7. I think the towel racks are hung upside down, because the set screws show on top instead of on the bottom. Some racks are right side up and then others are upside down. When the lights where mounted to the floor joist down stairs they are only anchored on one side. I would have liked them more secure. After lights where up I saw how flimsy they where. I purchased the lights and didn't realize how poorly made they where. I wish the repair man would have pointed this out to me. I would have taken them back for heavier ones. After lights were up repair man didn't clean up after himself. He also used the wrong caulk on the tub and had to redo the second day.
Description of Work: I hired this company to do miscellaneous repairs around my house. Mount lights in basement, re-caulk tub, hang towel & toilet bars, mount cabinet door and replace light in closet.

I don't know what has happened to this company. I used them a year ago to fix a leaky window and they were great. Then when the window started leaking again recently I called to have them come out again. I gave my name and explained the problem and said that they had worked on it before. The man on the phone was very abrupt, he said they would call back to schedule it. I asked if he wanted to take down my phone number and he said no, he would look it up in the files. He didn't ask me to repeat my name, either, and of course I never heard from them. He just blew me off.
Description of Work: No work was performed as they would not take my number or call back.

The representative called me a half hour before coming. I showed him the new mailbox which I wanted to be put up. He showed me where he was going to install the new mailbox, I approved. In ten minutes, the box was put up. He showed me the installed mailbox and I was very happy with the results. He charged $65 and placed the charge on my charge card. Gave me the receipt and then left. All of this took no more than a half hour.
Description of Work: Installed a new mailbox onto the front side of my residence.

No roofing co. was available or willing to take the time. One looked at the problem and told me it would cost over $200 to replace the "pipe jack." Classic responded quickly after I reported the problem. A couple of days later they were able to seal the leak. Quick response was very important since I had a bedroom ceiling being damaged by the leak. I have now used them several times and they always responded well. It is difficult to assess quality of this work, but the leak has definitely stopped.
Description of Work: Sealed a leak around the roof ventilation pipe.

Miserable failure. I begged, pleaded and threatened them to do the work. They moved elec. and duct work to an outside wall that was supposed to be 4" deep, they made 10" and left the large cut in antique wood floors. Later they sent a worker (at 9:00am- who hit parked car) to fix floor by screwing a plank of misfit wood in opposite direction of rest of flooring. They left old duct work in (but not in other condo) and didn't sister floor joists after cutting into them for plumbing (as in other condo). We just found 4 water leaks in basement (not their fault), but they didn't tell us about them either. One leak was from main water turnoff, which we kept turning off and they would turn back on and leave to just leak. Now 25% of the basement is extremely damp and stinks! We are supposed to sell these condos! Here's the best part: they left FIVE live wires dangling from ceiling in the basement IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WET AREA! All of this is how they turned over the job and called it done.
Description of Work: Rehab one condo in 4 unit bldg. They gutted kitchen and bath and were supposed to prepare walls for painting. They were supposed to copy work previously done to another condo unit that was further along. They promised to have the work done in one week (told my partner 1 1/2 weeks. Then kept making promises to finish "by the end of this week", then not show again until the end of the week to START the work. I even told them I could lose my personal residence (I have 3 little kids) as well as this investment building, but he still dragged his feet to complete the work! Now it is two months later and they are still not done.

Very well. I was able to schedule the home call in a few days. He arrived on time. Trouble shooting was efficient.
Description of Work: A double hung window needed replacement of the balance mechanism. The repair would have required removing the window from the wall which I decided not to do. He was able to put in a simple device which allows the window to stay up when opened. He also repaired a faulty light switch in the kitchen.

Because of above statement, no work was done by them.
Description of Work: I contracted them on Friday the 10th of Nov. They send someone out and determined they would need two people, to take my hugh T.V. antennae down. They said they would do it Monday or Tuesday early. I waited all day Monday, till early Tuesday about 10pm, at which time I called them. They said, they couldn't take it down till Friday or next week. I thought I had an appointment Monday or Tuesday. They didn't even call me to confirm. If I hadn't called back, they would have never informed me they weren't going to help me at all. I feel this is not appropriate for someone handling a business. They broke their word. I would not recommend them to anyone else. They can't be trusted to make appointments or inform anyone of their intensions.

It took about 2 weeks and 5 calls to get this job scheduled. I initially spoke to Sean and he would not commit to scheduling the job for a certain day. I have 2 afternoons off every week and that's when I wanted to schedule the job. I called again the following Monday and again the Monday after that. I had suggested a certain afternoon, but Sean would not commit to a set day. Because he would not schedule the job when I called on Monday, I assumed that they would not be coming on the day I suggested. They did come and I wasn't home. I called when I got home, but no one called me back. I called on the following Monday and spoke to Fred Trice, who had heard my message from Thursday. He immediately scheduled the job for the following Thursday. The workman came and was early, did a terrific job, was friendly and efficient. He insisted on cleaning up everything, even to taking the trash out. I am very happy with the job, but the scheduling with Sean left a lot to be desired.
Description of Work: A bathroom fan was installed replacing an existing one that didn't work in our main bathroom and a bathroom fan and light combination was installed in our master bath, replacing a ceiling light fixture. There was no fan in the master bath prior to this installation.

Sean called me back the next day. He said he couldn't come out until next Tuesday at 9 a.m. I hired someone else on Thursday, so I called them back to let them know that we didn't need them to come out; we'd hired someone else.

Chuck showed up on time, did a good job, and cleaned up when he was finished. The actual job cost was really close to their estimate. I would use this company again.

Overall, this company did a good job fixing my doors. The service man was on time and very polite and clearly explained the issues. My only complaints are that they forgot that I had a followup appointment, so I had to reschedule again and I was charged a $85 flat fee to fix the cabinents, but then was charged an additional $40 to modify the door. I thought that $40 price was too high but had to pay it anyway. The only saving grace was the 5% discount.
Description of Work: This company was called in to install a kitchen cabinet door that had come off its hindges and to fix the screws on another kitchen cabinet door that was starting to come loose. The service man was able to quickly fix problem number two by patching the holes and reinstalling the screws. The first problem took several trips to complete because when he reattached the cabinet door, it fit too snuggly and hit the adjacent door when closed. He first thought it was a problem with the hindges and then decided to shave about an 1/8th of inch off the door and it corrected the problem. That required him to take the door with him.

Overall, you get what you pay for. They were our lowest bid and it showed. Punctuality is not a virtue of the company; they were tardy for each visit. Their attention to detail was lacking for our taste, including the fact they neglected to prime the walls prior to painting. Also, I could have painted better myself.

They were prompt, professional and courteous and cleaned up everything and they were fairly priced.
Description of Work: They cleaned, repaired, and sealed my deck. They redid my trim and painted it and poured a new step for my front porch. I had to call them back to finish painting a spot and they came right out.

It is unfortunate that I did not get an estimate sooner. They seemed very nice on the phone. I will consider them for a future job.
Description of Work: They came over to estimate the cost of repairing two exterior door frames. They discovered that one door frame did not have rotted wood problems but carpenter ant problems. On their advice I called the exterminator. Unfortunately I did not receive any estimate from them for several weeks despite a follow up call so I went with another company. I did receive an estimate the day after I signed with someone else.

Made an appointment with Sean over a week in advance. Did not show or call at appointement time. After waiting for over an hour, I left a message at the office. The next day Sean called back and left me a message apologizing and said he could come out the following day. I then left a message(only a machine answers) confirming that would be fine. I never heard from him again

Could not have ask for better service. One guy came at 8:30am, took off all the counter tops, removed the sink & faucet. Disconnected the garbage disposal. Minutes later, 2 men are bring in the new countertops. They were a perfect fit. Minutes later, here comes another guy & his job was putting the new faucet on & re-attaching the disposal. They were all done by 12:00 noon. Everything had been hauled away. Tomorrow at 8:30 am Chas would be arriving to do the tile work. AND that is exactly what happened. We are so pleased by their quality of the work. They were all polite, clean cut, quality crew of professional handymen. We are so pleased with their workmanship. We highly recommend Classic Improvement.
Description of Work: Completely removed old faucet, sink, & Formica counter tops. Replaced with new faucet and sprayer, Americast sink, meganite counter tops & back-splash decorative tiles.
