Description of Work: When my home was built in 1988, the builder used Classic Air Inc to install my furnace and air conditioner. I signed an annual service contract with them each year since 1988. In 2004 when my furnace and air conditioner needed to be replaced I selected Classic Air. I have been totally satisfied with their service, professionalism and competitive pricing. Which brings me to this purchase. Last year my air conditioner needed to be repaired. Their service technician was at my house the same day. Luckily the repair was minor but the air conditioner was reaching its average life expectancy. There have been many improvements in the past 11 years, which made me think about looking into a more efficient air conditioner. Then in April, Lennox announced a $800 rebate on their energy efficient products and Columbia Gas was offering an additional $300 incentive, a total savings of $1100. However even with these rebates it was still going to be a major purchase. So Classic Air sharpened their pencil and beat the competition as an expression of their appreciation for my customer loyalty. In light of this, I contracted Classic Air to install a 96% AFUE 2 stage variable speed furnace, a 3.5 ton 16 seer air conditioner, cased cooling coil, iComfort Wi-Fi thermostat and AprilAire 600 humidifier. It took a large crew but they did it in one day and on the exact day as promised. I have used Classic Air since 1988 and continue to sign an annual service contract each and every year. Jeremy, my service representative was a trainee 25 years ago and is now a senior member of their crew. Not only do customers stay with Classic Air but their employees do as well. So they must be a good company both to their customers and their employees. I put this review on the back burner. What brought it to the front, last week Columbia Gas sent their High Performance Solutions contractor to my home to verify that a high efficiency heating system was installed properly to qualify for their replacement rebate. According to the contractor not only was it installed properly but extra time and care was given to silicone caulk around the furnace, duct work and cover up any holes. In addition, the old metal duct work was closed off properly and neatly. This inspection confirmed what I suspected. I recommend Classic Air and would without hesitation, used them in the future.

Description of Work: TECHNICIAN BROKE THE FURNACE DOWN AND SAID THE CIRCUIT BOARD WAS BURNED OUT. HE SHOWED ME THE ''BURNED'' SPOT. HE THEN WENT TO THE TRUCK AND RETURNED WITH A NEW BOARD. I ASKED THE COST. HE SAID $900. I STRONGLY QUESTIONED THE COST, BUT NEEDING THE FURNACE FIXED, TOLD HIM TO PROCEED. WHEN FINISHED HE TOLD ME IT WAS NOT AS EXPENSIVE AS FIRST THOUGHT. COST $687. ALSO, DID NOT WIRE BOARD CORRECTLY. HAD TO RETURN NEXT DAY TO FIX. NEW TECHNICIAN. PROBLEM FIXED, NO CHARGE. NOTE: I CALLED LENNOX AND ASKED ABOUT COST OF PART. THEY WOULD NOT SHARE IT WITH ME, TELLING ME THEY SIMPLY SELL TO DEALERS WHO THEN SET THEIR OWN PRICE. WHEN I PRESSED HIM AS TO THE COST, HE SUGGESTED I SHOP AROUND. I AM NOT A HAPPY CONSUMER!!!

Description of Work: NEEDED A NEW FURNACE DUE TO A CRACK IN THE HEAT EXCHANGER. THEY REPLACED THE OLD FURNACE WITH A COMFORTMAKER GNE075B12 GAS 80% MODEL WITH A GREAT WARRANTY. DESPITE DISCOUNTS OFFERED BY OTHERS LISTED ON ANGIE''S LIST, CLASSIC AIR BEAT ALL THE OTHERS. I TOLD THEM WHAT I NEEDED AND THEY GAVE ME THEIR NO-HASSLE BEST DEAL.
