Description of Work: Job 1: I have a yearly contract with them to check my furnace and A/C for each season. They checked my A/C for this season. Job 2:My a/c broke, and we did not want to put a lot of money into a 20 year old unit. For this reason we just purchased a whole new heating and cooling system.

 + -1 moreWe have had a yearly service contract for many years with Classic for the twice a year checkups. They are very good about coming during the 4 hour window they give you, or calling ahead so I can meet them. Sometimes there are extra costs, but I have never felt taken advantage of. Having the service contract is supposed to give me priority when emergency service is needed, and they have been very good in urgent situations, although I have not had a problem like that for a number of years.
Description of Work: Fall check up of the furnace (and air conditioner in the spring).

 + -1 moreThis has happened 3 times in the last 2 years, and each time Classic has come out right away and replaced the part ($150) free of charge. (We have a service contract.) It's frustrating, but it's not really their fault, as the capacitors are poorly made and suppliers are limited.
Description of Work: They replaced a blown out capacitor in the A/C and checked all parts for the reason for the malfunction.

 + -1 moreThe man who came to give the estimate showed us several units we could purchase and fully explained the differences. He was very knowledgeable and told us about making holes in the wall to vent the furnace and about the size of the A/C unit. They promptly scheduled the work. The workers were courteous, on time, did not make a mess, and cleaned up after themselves. They were professional in every sense of the word. I would recommend this company to anyone, no reservations. They finished on time and fully explained how the unit worked. I was urged to call them if I thought of any additional questions.

 + -1 moreThe technician failed to call my office number when he left for my home. I happened to call the office and learned that he was on his way. This may be an office personnel problem. At any rate, he waited and started work when I arrived. He was stumped with one problem, admitted that he needed help and told me so. When his help arrived, they found the problem and were able to repair immediately. I really appreciate the honesty and openness of these people and will continue to maintain my yearly maintenance contract with them. I have recommended them to several co-workers who are also quite happy with their work.
Description of Work: We have a yearly contract with this company to perform a fall and a spring check up on our heating and cooling system. They insure that we have cold and hot air when we need it. The technicians are careful and knowledgeable and were able to diagnose and repair problems quickly and efficiently. Our a/c unit was not working and the technician was not familiar with our system and called in a second person for help and they resolved the problem quickly. The techs were open about the repair and correct on their estimates of the repair costs.

 + -1 moreThe company usually gives a 4 hour window of time in which they will be at your house. Because, I work full time, this was a problem for me. They were able to give me an appointment after 3:00, which was a big help, and I didn't have to take off work. I appreciated that. They were prompt, and helpful - gave me some suggestions on unit maintenance.
Description of Work: Annual air conditioner inspection. The price of $140.00 was for a service contract which was purchased last fall and which included this inspection and a previous furnace inspection.

 + -1 moreTHEY WOULD NOT SEND A TECH TO ANSWER OUR MANY COMPLAINTS. FOR TWO YEARS LENNOX SAID TO GET A SECOND OPINION. THEY THOUGHT WE NEEDED A VARIABLE SPEED BLOWER WITH THE SECOND OPINION CONFIRMED THIS SEPTEMBER.
Description of Work: Service Tech ordered and installed a heat pump, furnace and air cleaner. When the winter season started we had too much noise and air pressure from the blower. The installer indicated that another customer had that problem.

HE WAS WILLING TO SPEND A GOOD BIT OF TIME ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSING THE MOST EFFICIENT AND ECONOMICAL OPTIONS FOR SOME ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT WE ARE CONSIDERING. HE HAS SERVICED MY IN-LAW'S UNITS FOR YEARS, AND I AM VERY GLAD THEY RECOMMENDED THIS COMPANY TO US. MIKE WAS INFORMATIVE AND POLITE, AND THE AREA WHERE HE WORKED WAS AS CLEAN WHEN HE LEFT AS IT WAS WHEN HE GOT THERE. Description of Work: I CALLED THE COMPANY TO PERFORM AN ANNUAL INSPECTION OF MY HEATING SYSTEM PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF WINTER. THE OFFICE CALLED TO LET ME KNOW WHEN THE TECHNICIAN LEFT FOR MY HOUSE. THE TECHNICIAN WAS ON TIME, POLITE AND VERY PERSONABLE. HE EXPLAINED MY SYSTEM OPERATION TO ME (WE ARE NEW TO THIS HOUSE) AND PROCEEDED TO WORK ON THE MAIN HEATING UNIT IN THE HOUSE. HE THEN WENT OUTSIDE TO THE UNIT FOR THE HEAT PUMP AND SHOWED ME HOW SOME PARTS WORKED AND EXPLAINED A LOT TO ME. HE ALSO SHOWED ME WHAT MIGHT BREAK SHOULD WE HAVE A PROBLEM. I ASKED ABOUT THE YEARLY MAINTENANCE CONTRACT AND HE EXPLAINED THAT CLEARLY AS WELL. HE HAD THE NECESSARY PARTS WITH HIM AND WAS ABLE TO INSURE THAT MY HEATING SYSTEM WOULD WORK WHEN NEEDED.

THE TECHNICIAN LOOKED AT THE ENTIRE SYSTEM (INSIDE AND OUT) AND DETERMINED VERY QUICKLY THAT THE CAPACITOR WAS DEAD AND WAS PREVENTING THE COMPRESSOR FROM RUNNING. IN LESS THAN AN HOUR IT WAS FIXED. THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL.

 + -1 moreI CONTACTED CLASSIC AIR INC AROUND 11:30 ON A MONDAY AND THEY HAD A TECHNICIAN OUT BY 3:00 PM. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND REPAIRED IT IN ABOUT 30 MINUTES. HE CLEARLY EXPLAINED THE REPAIRS PERFORMED. I CHOSE THIS COMPANY IN PART BECAUSE THEY WERE 1 OF 4 APPROVED COMPANIES FOR MY HOMEGARD WARRANTY. BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE, I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN EVEN OUTSIDE THE HOMEGARD WARRANTY. THE WORK CAME TO $329.00, BUT ONLY HAD TO PAY THE HOMEGARD DEDUCTIBLE OF $100.00.
Description of Work: AIR CONDITIONING DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR. TECHNICIAN REPAIRED WIRING, ADDED R-22, AND REPLACED CAPACITORS.

THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO INSTALL THE UNIT TOMORROW, BUT THE OFFICE CALLED AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD INSTALLED THE AIR CONDITIONER ONE DAY EARLIER. I APPRECIATED THAT VERY MUCH SINCE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GET VERY HOT TODAY. I THOUGHT THE PRICE OF THE UNIT WAS VERY REASONABLE.
Description of Work: I HAD AN AIR CONDITIONER REPLACED. THE OLD ONE WAS LEAKING COOLANT FROM COIL, AND TO FIND THE LEAK AND TO FILL THE COOLANT WILL BE VERY EXPENSIVE. THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME I HAD A CHOICE TO MAKE: FIND A LEAK AND HAVE IT REPAIRED AND FILL IT WITH COOLANT OFTEN, OR HAVE A NEW AIR CONDITIONER INSTALLED. MY OLD AIR CONDITIONER WAS 13 YEARS OLD. I CAME TO CONCLUSION TO HAVE A NEW AIR CONDITIONER WILL BE CHEAPER IN THE LONG RUN, AND THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN AGREED.
