He provided an estimate within two days of my call and performed the job the next week. He was very friendly and open to finding ways to address all of my concerns about how to configure the driveway and sidewalk. His estimate was about $1000 less than two other estimates. He and his team did a very nice job!

Chris came out within two days of our phone call for an estimate. We called him back 2 days later, (Fri) to see when he could do the job and he said within the next week. On Sat he called to say that if the weather held he and his crew would be out on Monday after 12 noon. They were there before noon. Leveled off the site, made the forms for the step and the patio, dumped the stones and by 3pm the cement truck came and they poured the patio. They were finished before 6pm. Because it was a very windy day they came back the next day and cleaned up any cement that got blown onto the siding. Excellent work. Chris was on site and eager to make sure that we were satisfied. He even used the hand rake to clean up the pathway made by the wheelbarrow.

Chris is great! He was very prompt and helpful. He responded quickly to phone calls and did the work as soon as the weather broke. We are happy with the work and would refer him to friends.

It was fine. He just came out and said that there wasn’t anything wrong. So, he didn’t do anything. There wasn’t any additional charge.

He was a very nice gentleman. He wanted to make sure that I understood things. He didn’t speak down to me and he wanted to make sure that I received the best work. He took great pride in his work. They cleaned up and they did good quality work as well.

We are a property management company and we’ve been using him for around 2 or 3 years. His work is just phenomenal. He’s very honest, direct, and to the point. If something is not done right, he’ll come out and fix it himself and he’s also on the job site all the time. He has a lot of experience with the job he does and he's very knowledgeable on it.

We've been gradually taking steps to eliminate water coming into the basement of our 1927 home, including having Chris Ruh clean and seal the walls this past winter. Extremely professional and personable, we were happy with the work he did though we still needed exterior drainwork and grading done this spring. Water is still coming in and we know it's time to waterproof. Called Chris today and he came out a couple of hours later. Once again, very professional and friendly - he admitted we've done everything we can and, while he could do the work, he said he's booked solid until late fall. He recommended another provider, who is also on Angie's List, and we're now in the process of getting that estimate. I'd like to be able to have Chris do the work, but I absolutely trust his judgement and recommendation, and appreciate his willingness to hand work to someone else in order for my water problem to be solved as soon as possible.

Do not waste your time. I called the company 8/13/2014 at 3 pm. I spoke to a man named Sean. Sean took my information and said that Chris would call me to set time and date to do an estimate. A week goes by no calls. I called the company again on 8/20/2014 at 9:50 am. I spoke to Sean again. Told Sean that no one called me. Sean asked who I talked the first time. When I told it was him then the excuses began flowing. Sean said he would tell Chris the message to call me. Today is 8/22/2014 at 5:28 pm. So like I said do not waste your time. If person cannot call in a timely manner, that should be a caution flag that you do not want to do business with that company.

Chris came out to give us an estimate. After looking at the areas, he determined that it was nothing major and that since he was going to have a crew in our neighborhood the next week, he would just have them stop by to do the work at no charge. This was incredibly nice and unexpected. He guys came out as promised and did a great job. .

The company did not do any work for me.

All in all, I was very pleased with the quick service and professionalism.

An exposed aggregate walkway is not something that many people do any more. We love the look of a pebble path walkway but didn't want to mess with pebbles in the yard and the edger stones shifting. I talked to 3 concrete contractors and Chris Ruh was really the only one that said he could use whatever pebbles I wanted and would 'seed' them on top of the concrete mix so the sidewalk would have the colors in it I wanted. Chris returned all phone calls and kept me up to date on when they were coming and what was happening. The work got started an finished about 2 weeks earlier than expected. The walkway looks great. There was an issue with the step in that the form removed some of the cement and it looked bad. Without hesitation Chris said they would be back to tear it out and re-do that piece. The walk was done on Thursday and they were back on Monday tearing out the step and replacing it. The prep work went fine, but you should be prepared for just how bad the bobcat will tear up the grass. If that is an issue be sure and say something up front. I was very surprised how neat the area was the day the concrete was poured. There was really no leftover concrete anywhere and no sign that a concrete truck had been in the drive. The forms were removed the same day. All in all we are very pleased with the choice to go with concrete and to use Chris Ruh. We are now having him do some exterior drain tile installation.

They came early in the morning and stayed until 4. There was minimal mess and what was there was cleaned. Chris was there often to check on the progress.

Honest guy who really knows what he is doing, not trying to drum up business. Recommended tunneling both rather than tearing out and replacing. Showed up on time.

Wish more instructions were given besides here is the cost for what we can do

Chris was very prompt in giving me an estimate and set a date for the job to be done. Because of the rain he had to postpone the job a few times. However, he always made a point to call me and tell me that we need to reschedule because of the weather. I never was left wondering when the job would be done. When the weather cooperated they showed up on the scheduled date a did a great job. Poured the concrete on one day and came back the next day to remove the brackets and clean up. Did a thorough job. A couple days later there was a small problem and when I called Chris about it he had guys at my house WITHIN AN HOUR!! I'm used to hearing that "We'll be out in a few days" and was really impressed that they took care of the problem immediately. They fixed the problem in less than ten minutes. I highly recommend Chris Ruh Cement.

They showed up on time and did a fantastic job! They had to bust up and remove the old concrete, add a lot of gravel, compact it, then poured the new concrete. They had it all done in about 8 hours. Once they cleaned up it was like they were never there, except for the new floor! My wife and I are beyond happy!

Chris came out for an estimate on Saturday and the job was done Monday! We had a cheap cement porch that was cracking and we were starting to see the decorative stones on the front of our house slip downward. Chris' crew was able to save all the stones and cement them back in place. They even fixed the grass that was near the sidewalk. I never had a construction crew get down on their hands and knees and clean up our grass. The new porch and walk look great.

This is a right on time company Chris's business is professional and on the spot. I called Chris on 4/21/2014 he returned my call the following day stopped by to give me a fair estimate on all the work that I wanted to complete. Together with his idea we came up with a great plan. Chris was not pushy he was very detailed about everything that he was going to do he told me there was no need to make up my mind immediately and I could call him with my decision. Chris called later that day and told me he had a cancellation and asked if I was interested they could do my job on Thursday of that week. Thursday, 4/24/2014 Chris's and his team arrived at 8:00 am as promised he discussed the job and made a plan of action they went straight to work. Throughout the day they would check with me making sure that we both were still on the same page to keep the job moving it appeared that lunch breaks were rotated so someone was always working. By 3:00pm All of the demolition and framing was completed and the truck had arrived with the concrete The pour had to be done from the alley due to the awkwardness of my corner lot. Working together as one big team the men wheelbarrowed concrete to the areas. Upon completion the crew did a wonderful cleanup they put up safety tape and barricades to prevent accidents and anyone walking on the finished product. I was likewise informed that they would be back in the morning to take away everything and complete the finishing touches. Friday 4/25/2014 Chris arrived for payment and assured me that someone would be by later in the day to complete the cleanup when I arrived home after work all of the miscellaneous items were gone so I was able to view all the work that had been completed. The first thing I noticed was there was no backfill around my fence post where they had to dig out to place their forms. I also noticed that my back gate would not close (this I fixed by cutting off the pickets from the bottom). Saturday 4/26/2014 I called Chris?s company at 9:30 am and left a message for him to call me to discuss the above issue.Chris returned my call and came straight over he explained that the guys did not get to finish due to the rain and that they would be back to take care of everything. Chris continued to call daily to keep me abreast of the situation on 4/29/2014 Chris?s crew returned completed the backfill washed down my sidewalks had me to inspect I am pleased to say everything was perfect. The finish product is so much better than I could have envisioned I am so pleased with the job that I will be recommending Chris to anyone who requires this type of service.

It went fine. They didn't solve the problem but they were nice. They recommended that I do other things with other companies; they didn't identify the water problem. They said it was an outside problem and not a basement problem.

I called the company # to receive an estimate for repairing a crumbling section on my front porch. Mr. Ruh contacted me shortly after and was able to stop by the next day to give me an estimate. He was professional, friendly, and answered all of my questions. He told me he could repair the area for $75.00. I called him back a week or so later and told him I would like him to do the work. He called me the very next day and told me he had two men on the way to do the work. When they arrived, we talked about the different options in repairing the area. They were very professional, punctual, polite, and knowledgeable. They completed the work in a timely manner and cleaned up afterwards. They even offered to use the extra concrete mix to repair an area under the back porch where there was a small gap. The area that they patched looks great! Upon completion, one of the gentlemen surprised me and told me that there would be no cost for the work that was done because it was such a small area. I would definitely recommend using this company for concrete work. Great experience!

Contacted Chris Ruh Cement, they called back later in the day. I discussed the deal, the guy on the phone was not really aware of the details and suggested I didn't really need it. He said he would get back to me later in the week to schedule an estimate for work I was wanting done. That was a month ago. This vendor is highly rated, I'm sure their work is top notch, but I have no patience for this. Hopefully it was a one time deal, but that is an automatic no-go for me.

HE WILL EITHER WORK HIS SELF OR RECOMMEND SOMEONE FOR YOUR PROJECTS. MY HUSBAND WAS IN BUSINESS FOR 40 YEARS AND KNEW CHRIS WHEN HE FIRST STARTED HIS BUSINESS.
