Quickly. I needed a quick solution because the raised apron was scraping the bottom of my new car. Chris Ruh replaced the apron with gravel and did so while accommodating my work schedule.

Chris did a great job. They were in and out in 2 days and even added a nice curb.

Chris contacted me after I found him on Angie's List and came over the same day. He gave me the benefit of his experience and told me what I was seeing was normal and nothing to worry about. What an honest person! If I ever have work that he can do, I am definitely going to call him!

Chris' crew was very professional and they arrived on time, removed the old driveway, and poured the new one without a problem (including putting in a drain). The new cement looks great and hopefully will last for a long, long, time! We were kept informed through the whole process. The cost was more than some estimates we got, but I do think you get what you pay for...and we now have a great concrete driveway!

When we started looking for someone to do this job we called multiple companies. Chris was very responsive and came to give a quote very quickly while others did not call back. He gave us a very nice price and was able to work us in during the next ten days. On the workday, Chris and his team arrived promptly and prepared to work. The team took down our basketball hoop (for free!) and removed the concrete from the base of the pole. They worked quickly and were finished by early afternoon. They cleaned up, did not mess up the yard and the concrete drive looks amazing! Overall a great experience...would definitely recommend.

Chris and his crew showed up on time and got right to work. They completed all the work in that long day. They performed everything they were contracted to do. I know the money paid for this work done will increase our home value. My wife and I were quite happy with the work they did. We also got an estimate to replace our rear concrete patio that also was previously improperly done.

Again Chris and his crew showed up on time and got going early in the morning. The old patio was removed and they started on the 'like for like' patio replacement except it would be a minimum 3' away from our house. I had spray painted an approximate size we thought was equal to the one removed. I left my wife at the helm for this one as this project was one she dearly wanted done. Chris assured her she would love it when done. I was away most of the day and when I returned I saw a beautiful gently curved patio tying in our basement steps, new 3 step stoop, recent 3 step porch Chris did a month earlier and a wooden stairway from a deck. The patio was larger than we planned as Chris added his experience and knowledge to the job. This was a big plus. Also there was an issue with the first 2 (old) concrete steps going to the basement. Chris fixed this unseen issue without any talk of 'additional' cost. The concrete block in the outside stairway was stuccoed to match the concrete patio. Again we feel this was money well spent for an improvement in our home and our homes value.

Great! Chris showed up (!) and was on time for the estimate. (Getting any concrete contractor to respond to a request for an estimate had been very difficult). His estimate was exactly what I hoped to pay. His crew showed up on time (a little early even) and did the removal and replacement in one day, and then came back to do a little clean up the next day. His crew were extremely hard workers and very polite. We would have him do any other concrete work for us and have recommended him to many neighbors.

He went above and beyond the call of duty. Honest, did not overcharge us and his team did a outstanding job.

Chris and his crew were awesome! We had hired another contractor a few months back who we paid half the $ to and he completed about 2hours of work....Chris came out gave us his opinion then fit us into his schedule the next day. His crew was on time and completed all of the work same day! We were releaved since we had so much trouble with the other company!

Chris and crew showed up and replaced the stairs in early December. The job took one day and we paid him promptly. He has a charming personality and the crew was very nice. It wasn't until March that I noticed that the stairs were not really drying and there were white spots all over them. I asked Chris to come out and look at them. He did after two days of leaving messages and told me that they just weren't dry yet because they were so thick and to wait until May. Fast forward to May and not only do they look horrible, I noticed that there was a lot of extra cement that was stuck in the crack of the patio and on the stone of our house. They did not clean up properly and the stairs looked so bad, I was embarrassed to have friends over. Chris told me back in March that if they did not look better in May he would stain them for me. I called and left messages again for two days (they use an answering service) and asked that they call me to look at the stairs and that I wanted to discuss the staining. I finally got a voice mail about 5 days after my initial message from a woman who simply said that they do not stain concrete. I've since hired another contractor to help me clean up Chris Ruh's mess. On a positive note, our door now opens so I will say that Chris and crew did a good job structurally. That is why I give him a C and not an F.

It seemed too high for me, but I'm not a very good gauge for that, but it did seem kind of high expensive wise. The interactions with them were good. It seemed high, it was $15,000. It wasn't very detailed at all. They can improve in the future by making it more detailed and written. They just talked to me. Their punctuality didn't impress me one way or the other.

Looking elsewhere for the work project.

Estimate was fair based off what I have read, this was my first time hiring someone. Since my schedule was flexible and the job was small they were able to squeeze me in their otherwise busy schedule. Friendly service and delivered as promised.

I told them that I was no longer interested in doing business with Chris Ruh Cement. If it's this difficult to even schedule an estimate, I have little faith in how easy it would be to work with them on the actual job.
