Chris returned my call right away and we were able to set up an appointment for an estimate the same day I called. I needed some major foundation work completed in the basement of a 100+ year old house, as well as some tuckpointing and misc. porch work. Chris was very helpful and informative during our consultation, and we were able to schedule the job to start the following Monday. Chris and his crew showed up on time, were very friendly and professional, and they cleaned up leaving the basement in spotless condition. I highly recommend Chris for anyone needing any kind of concrete-related work.

Mr. Ruh was very quick to respond to our call initially, and followed through within one week. His crew of workers spent about 2 days removing old concrete slabs and pouring the new ones the next day. We would not hesitate from using his crew again.

After calling several companies, Chris Ruh was the only company that could fit us into their schedule. They showed up when they said they would and their pricing and professionalism were outstanding. The entire job was completed within two days and they cleaned up when the job was finished. Our new sidewalks look great. We will use this company again in the future. This is an outstanding company.

Chris was excellent! He gave me some helpful hints for basement repair. He gave me a great quote, and he was very professional. He's also been in business for a long time, which is very important to me. I ended up going with another company that was just as good as Chris, but they had a 10% discount.

It was great experience working with Chris. I had contacted him about doing some patch work on the front porch steps. When he came to give an estimate, he pointed out to me that the concrete stairwell in the back of the house really needed to be sealed. He gave me an estimate for power washing and sealing the stairwell and decided to do the front porch steps for free as part of the deal. He did a great job with the stairwell and ended up power washing my driveway and front porch at no charge while he was at it. As he was doing the power washing of the stairwell, he pointed out to me that the water in the drain was going down very slowly and insisted that I really should have someone look at it. As it turns out, I had a major drain problem under my basement that could have caused my finished basement to flood if Chris had not point it out to me. Chris even stop by to see what was done to make sure it was properly taken care of. While he was in my basement, he noticed that there walls in the unfinished part of the basement had some mold. He gave me an estimate to remove all the mold, seal the walls, and haul away a bunch of trash that had collected in the basement. When I told him I just couldn't afford to pay that at the time with all the other recent expense I had incurred, he agreed to do it for a significantly reduced price so that he could help me out and keep his workers busy during a rainy period. I can hardly believe my basement really looks this good, it had been such a mess. Though it all, he was always accessible and kept me informed all along the way. He and his team did a great job. They were always on time and did a great job of keeping everything very clean. I?m sure I?ll be asking Chris for help down the road when something new crops up needing attention.

Chris came out and gave us a estimate, after he looked at our garage. Due to rain we had to wait for several weeks before the job got started but Chris would contact us regarding this issue. The job got started on June 13, and was finished on June 24. Chris's crew (John, Doug and John Jr.) was here early (8:00 am) and started right in, and everyday thereafter they were here early to get started. Everyday they cleaned up with little disturbance to our yard. Chris himself worked several days with his crew and if he couldn't be here to work, he would stop by to check the progress. Chris and his crew went way beyond what was in the contract because they did things that they saw needed done and they did it. GREAT JOB!!!

I don't recall as to how much I paid for the project. He did an excellent job and I would recommend him to other members. He was recommended to me by one of the service providers that did waterproofing basement work as it was not the kind of work that they did. The experience could not have been any better.

Chris Ruh returned my call, visited the site, and provided an estimate the same day (Tuesday). He estimated that the work could be done that same week (Thursday or Friday) and could be formed, poured and finished that same day. I agreed to the estimate and time frame proposed. Chris contacted me on Thursday after the forms preparation work was completed and advised of the time the cement truck would be at the site (3pm) so that I could move cars from driveway to provide ready access when the truck arrived. The truck arrived at 3pm, the cement was poured and finished by 4:30. Forms, excess material, and tools were removed from the site the following Monday. Chris and his staff were extremely prompt, courteous, professional, and informative. I would recommend Chris Ruh Cement Co. and will use them for future cement projects in the spring.

He fully answered all of my questions before the work was done. The price was within reason. The work was done professionally, and in a timely manner.

He was good. He was professional. He came out and did the estimate. His price was in line with the other estimates. He was honest about the time it would take to complete the work. Earlier, the apron was a mess. However, now it is really good. He did what he said he would do. We will use him again in the future.

He came out and was very nice. He gave us an estimate and we said that we wanted to have it done. He told us he was coming into his busy season so he didn?t have time to do it right then but he would give us a call in about six weeks. The rest of the summer went by and finally he called and said he was ready to do the work. At that point, I felt like he didn?t want to do our job because it was too small so we told him we would not use him for our work. We were upset with the way he handled it because he didn?t call us back for several months which was way past the time when he said he would call us back. They were punctual for the first estimate but everything else was terrible. The guy was very nice and professional while he was out here but the rest of what happened was very unprofessional.

No problems. Very positive experience.

There wasn?t really that much cement and when I asked him to extend it out, he extended it out about 1-2 inches against my driveway. My siding has sealer all over it and they never did anything about it. I asked them to come back and fix the cracks around my drainpipe and they came back and tried to do some work. He said he?ll bring rock and gravel back but he didn?t do any of that. The work was priced high for what he did and I think other providers were doing it for cheaper. He was not very responsive and I would never use him again.

I have used Chris before to replace 90' of my sidewalk, and even though my excavation contractors could replace and pour their own cement - I really wanted to call in Chris. I phoned him as we were excavating my leaking water line and he came over in a little over an hour to take a look at the job.... he immediately took a shovel and helped out on our excavation job, chatting to that crew and hung out with us for an hour or so!! A few days later (the ground had to settle) he called me to see if Tuesday was workable for the concrete work. It was, but then on the Monday before he called to say he could do it right now as they just finished another job in the neighborhood, so we started that day. I had hired a tamping machine to pound my earth back into the trench from my water line work a few days prior and Chris was wonderful and took over some of that work for me too as his crew were mixing the concrete.... always pleasant and always willing to lend a hand, that's why I call Chris!

They did an outstanding job. The driveway looks great.

Chris Ruh was responsive to request for proposal to put a topping slab over our existing patio slab. His price was not competitive and was an indication he was not really interested in doing the work... at least at the time he quoted it.

They were a very helpful company to work with. After the work I thought there might be problem and they came out an took a look and informed me what was going on. They were just a great company to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.

Chris and his crew did an excellent job. Very easy to work with, professional and courteous. Chris let me know that I could receive a rebate from the city for the street curb. He gave me the contact information as well as what to request from them. I appreciated that he let me know this as I would not have known that a rebate was available.

It went excellent. They were very quick about calling me back. They were very quick about the estimate. The insurance covered exactly what his estimate was. The final cost was right on with the estimate he had given me. He cleaned up well when he was done. He also brought in dirt to put in behind the wall, when I got home there was dirt in the driveway and he was very concerned with the removal of the extra dirt. He coordinated well with work from the city that was taken place at the same time as he was doing his work.

The experience was better than expected. The workmen were punctual. They completed the job within the time I was told. They cleaned up after themselves and, in fact, left the garage cleaner than it was originally. Due to a slight change in design, a second step, not included in the original design, was added; however, Chris stayed with the original quote and did not charge me for the additional materials and/or labor. The workmen were friendly and courteous. They worked "like a well-oiled machine." I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Mr. Ruh was very friendly and helpful in explaining what he would do, to help fix our drainage problem in front of and in our garage. We did not choose him because a different cement company gave us a better price.
