Mr. Ruh inspected the basement walls and the outside of the house for water-related issues. He described the issues that needed to be addressed and how I could do the work myself. He said that his staff could do the work but that I could also do the work myself. I told him that I could do the work, which included scraping the interior basement walls, applying dry lock to the walls and part of the floor, lowering the flower beds to create a negative water flow away from the outside walls, and applying a concrete patch to one outside crack in the concrete block. He also said that I should call him if any additional problems present themselves or if I want his company to perform any of the above work. He was very professional, explained all the issues involves, and did not try to get me to hire him to perform work that I could do myself. I had explained to him how I had dealt with several basement-related problems in the past, including applying a sealant to the basement walls. I was very pleased with Mr. Ruh and would call him again if I needed any basement work performed.

Chris Ruh Cement has done work for us before so we felt comfortable calling them for this project. I called the company for an estimate, and Chris came out the next day. He said it may be a week or so before they could start, however, he called two days later and said they were working in the area and that they could start that day. The crew showed up at 8:00AM and had the patio formed and ready to pour the concrete in a few hours. The next day, they poured the cement and finished it. We went with a stamped concrete to resemble a stone patio and the results were excellent. They came back the next morning and removed the forms, pressure washed the new patio and also pressured washed the sidewalks and driveway because they had gotten some debris and dirt on them. They also leveled the yard around the new patio which left me with very little to do to complete the landscaping. As I said before, we had used Chris's company before and they did a great job, so we gave them the work for the new patio. We certainly were pleased with the entire job. We also saved 100 dollars from the Angie's List coupon. I would recommend Chris Ruh Cement for anyone's concrete work. They are professional, kind, and very considerate of your home and property. I could barely tell they were even here. I will use Chris's company every time I need concrete work.

The crew was on time and worked to complete the job in less than one day. Very little mess. They even hooked up a new dryer vent. For the reasonable price they charged this was an excellent job.

All they did was come out and give me an estimate. I paid 50 bucks for the Big Deal, but they just came and gave me the estimate. They didn't do any work. I had some small cracks in some small areas that needed some work, but they wanted to do a major job and gave me a quote of $5000.

Chris did a very brief inspection of basement and foundation and told us everything is ok. Felt inspection was a bit too short, there was no writeup as what he did and what he found.

Chris Ruh contacted me by e-mail the day I bought the Big Deal (3/2/24) for a foundation inspection and returned my call the same day (3/3/14). He was ready to come out that evening but since I was not home he scheduled for the next morning. He called and arrived before 9am and got right to work. He was very friendly and professional and told me that he could tell my home was old but that the foundation was sturdy and found no evidence of damage outside of a few cracks around the exterior. He told me that I could easily repair those myself. Since I wasn't getting any water in my basement he didn't see any need for additional work outside of what I could do myself. I always appreciate an honest business and businessman and would highly recommend Chris Ruh Cement Co and hire him if I ever did need work done.

Mr. Ruh was very personable and energetic and quite humorous! His crew fixed the damage from when a neighbor who lost control of their car and struck our garage. They hauled away any debris they created. It took less than 2 hours and all the crew was respectful and courteous. His answering service was quick and explained that sometimes he calls later in the day because his business is very busy. He followed up and after a few delays on our side (insurance claims and a sick kid:)) he came through with flying colors. I would recommend Chris Ruh Cement to anyone. Thank you.

Excellently--they appeared when scheduled, did the work as planned & described and were very responsive when extra cleanup was requested. Very happy with the results. Chris Ruh is very friendly, engaging and yet, truly professional. Is an enthusiastic person with a strong, can-do approach which my wife & I found very winsome.

Chris Ruh came out to look at my basement floor that i needed leveled. He was very honest and said it would be a lot cheaper and easier if I grinded it flat instead of paying him $1500 to do it. He then explained the process to me, told me where I could go to rent the tools and even said to use his name as a referral so they'd take care of me. His honesty and advice was fantastic.

The supplier was amazing. He came out on a Saturday and fixed the foundaiton problem the same day. While fixing the house foundation problem, he also noticed stucco issues with chimney. By the end of the week, he had resolved this problem as well. Chris Ruh was very honest and straightforward. He never pushed us do anything and actually encouraged us to wait on a couple of issues until the spring. It was a pleasure working with this company. I would highly recommend them as they are very professional and do supurb work. It is very rare to find someone who exhibits all these qualities.

Great. Not only did Chris keep calling back as we were playing phone tag trying to make arrangements, he gave me almost an exact estimate of start time and was there the minute he said he would be. His crew was terrific: friendly, professional, and hard-working. I expect a lot when I hire someone to do a job. His team met all of my expectations.

Chris and his crew did the job the same week that I called him. Just outstanding professionalism and punctuality. They also raised the sidewalk and fixed some wood trim around the base of the pillars against the concrete slab at no additional cost. I couldn't be happier.

They were great! He came out the day I called him because he was in the neighborhood, gave me a break down of what they could do and then a flat fee. In the middle of the work the City came and harassed him about permits. He took care of everything and kept working on the porch and got it completed in one day. He then called me when the porch was done to tell me that they had added sealant to the porch for no extra cost. When I came home, the color of the porch was not right, so Chris and his guys came back out and painted it the color I wanted, again, for no extra cost. He was easy to work with, easy to get ahold of on the phone, and made sure I was happy with the work before he signed off.

I called Chris June 1 because a previous contactor had flaked out on me. Every other cement guy didn't even return my calls because they were booked for the summer. I explained that I had an unsafe walk (half torn out) that needed laid ASAP. Even though he has other projects going on, he was out that same day to give me an estimate and then came out the following Monday (two days later) to do the entire project. It looks great and I'm thrilled to have found him.

Chris came out and did a thorough examination and was very honest and forthcoming about the fact that we didn't need work done. He suggested the issue may be due to some water infiltration, but thought it more likely that there was simply something going on with the drywall itself and cracks showing around the seams. (the latter was confirmed by a general contractor who came out later). He also took the time to walk around the exterior of the house with me and offer suggestions about some minor cracks that I could patch myself with products from a home improvement store. It was nice to work with someone who wasn't just looking to make money by doing unneeded work but was looking to help us solve our problem as quickly and inexpensively as possible. Thanks Chris!

The work looks pretty good. But he left a mess behind the garage and now the city is coming down and telling me that I need to clean up the mess that he left. I can't believe he left all of that there.

Our family room is built over a concrete slab. We discovered a wide crack between it and the attached garage. I requested estimates from three highly rated Angie's List companies. Mr. Ruh returned my call the same evening and was able to fix the problem the next afternoon, after providing an estimate in the morning. He repaired the floor, filled in the cracks and poured a new sub-floor in the corner of the room. I thought the quality of his work was very good. I was overwhelmed to have the job completed the next day. Mr. Ruh said the project didn't take as long as he expected, and his final bill was less than the proposal. We are very satisfied.

He was good. He came right out & did the estimate. I may still use him; I'm just getting other estimates right now.

This was a strange experience. I was looking for a cement contractor to stain an existing floor. I called and spoke to the answering service. Chris called back and on the voice mail he told me he was so busy right now he didn't have time to do the project - but if it was an emergency to call him back. I, unfortunately, am too busy to mess around with a Chris so I hired someone else. It's a shame really, because we're looking to spend around $10,000 to $20,000 next year on a new patio...

It was a little bit expensive but it was fine.
