Carpet Ladies Company

I purchased The Big Deal when it was offered in August?. I waited until October to call for a quote figuring the initial onslaught of new customers had subsided a bit. After a few days of phone tag an appt was scheduled to measure and look at carpet. Turns out Cathy couldn't keep the appt so another gal came out to measure and show us samples. We decided on a carpet and color, it was over a week before Cathy returned the phone call to us with the final quote, but we were THRILLED with the price. A week to the day after ordering the carpet I got a call there was a cancellation and could they come the next day, my day off. The guys arrived right on time, did a FABULOUS job installing the new carpet upstairs, moving heavy furniture, scraping the old deteriated padding from the sub floor, removing the old stuff, etc. For a small fee they stayed even longer to stretch the dining room carpet for us. Cathy called several times throughout the installation day making sure we were satisfied with the work. We love the new carpet and the Carpet Ladies Co. when we are ready to do the 2 rooms downstairs we will call Cathy and the Carpet Ladies Co.

The quality of the work and the hardwood was very good. I didn't give a good grade as far as punctuality and responsiveness is concerned because Kathy evidently had too much on her plate with the "Big Deal" promotion. We were told she would arrive at a certain time and she was repeatedly late. Once she was suppose to be at our house around 7:00 PM, got a phone call saying she wouldn't be here until 8:30 PM and than didn't show up until 9:30 PM. The straw that broke the camels back was when she told us the gentleman that was suppose to install our flooring would come in the evening or the next day to see what the job looked like. We didn't receive a phone call tellling us when he would come and he never showed up. I left a voicemail with Kathy and called her cell, with no response until a couple days later. I was very upset and told her I didn't appreciate her leaving us hanging. It was a good thing my husband was on vacation that week, otherwise we would have taken off a day of work for nothing. She said she would compensate us by taking an extra $150.00 of the price. She did do that. I wouldn't take advantage of another "Big Deal" with her company because she bit off more than she could chew.

Kathy came to my house armed with a truck load of samples. We decided on carpet type, weight, color and padding. We worked thru several different layouts of the carpetting for square yard usage and placement of seams. I chose a layout which minimized seams in my traffic areas. She submitted a quote to me in time for my decision deadline. One of two other companies did not. The installers arrived on the agreed date and started installing. They worked straight through, no lunch, no break, they just went flat out. They vaccumed all the little stray carpet "lint" from the rooms, stairs, edges, everywhere. Kathy came by a short while later to make sure I was satisfied with the job. She actually caught me in the middle of moving the furniture back into place !

The actual offer was not honored the way it was presented. The quote she gave me was $1300, so I should have just paid the $300 (because the offer was for $1000 worth for $450). I had already paid the $450 for $1000 worth of work, and they tried to tell me I had to pay an additional $1300. I took my money back from the deal and did not get any work done by their company.

It was pretty good. We felt good about the price. Kathy who runs the company was very friendly and very helpful. We ended up having problems with the carpet. It wasn't her fault but the manufacturer. That took a long time to get it fixed. It is just her and her guys, so it took a while to get them out to where they needed to be. Overall, I was happy with the service

They were very helpful and informative on the phone, but I chose to go another direction.

She was very personable and took her time with the measurements, making sure that seams wouldn't be in an awkward location and that we'd use the least amount of yardage. She was late to a meeting on one occasion and didn't call until 3 hours later to let me know that she'd been with another client. That bugged me a bit, but we rescheduled and she was on time then. Her price was very competitive, she had nice samples and was comfortable with her crew of installers. Her bid just came in a bit higher, so we went with a company who does both the selling and installing, which I like, and also got us a more expensive carpet and better pad. If I hadn't found the other company and liked their product so well, I definitely would've gone with Carpet Ladies. They were still much cheaper and I feel would've been more accountable than the big box stores.

The carpet chosen was good quality. The installers were generally nice. However, the carpet installers knocked the paint off the column in the center of the room. I had to get the basement finisher to re-mud the corner and repaint it. The installers also punched a hole one of my doors. The carpet company paid for a new door and one of the installers came out to install it and repair an area of the carpet where there were sharp thing poking up through. The door is fine and the carpet is great. It was difficult to schedule/communicate with the sales person. It seems as though she has a lot on her plate and it is difficult to follow-up. When the installer came with the new door, I wasn't told that he would be there at that time. He was waiting out front of my house. While there were issues with the installation, I do believe that this company is worth quoting due to the price. They have a good price and some good quality carpet.

Called Kathy Ranalli for an estimate and to look at samples. She brought plenty of samples for my wife and I to look at. It took us a while to choose what we wanted but Kathy was very patient with us and seemed glad to bring more samples and offer some great advice. The installers were efficient and friendly. They moved furniture and offered to move it back to where we wanted it. When the job was done they moved the old carpet to the curb, bagged it and cleaned up. Since we live in Columbus we needed bulk pick up and Kathy personally called to set up the appointment. We looked at other companies who were good but not only did Kathy beat the price (there's a discount for Angie's List) she was the only one who seemed really interested in our business. I was really impressed with her patience and advice but mostly impressed with her attention to her customer. I felt like I was her only customer! I recommend Carpet Ladies Co. and would not hesitate to call them again.

Overall, it went well. Kathy was very nice and had a good selection carpets. The one I picked out was priced very fairly.

It was a painless project. They came to my house with samples, measured the job and ordered the carpet. They installed it the day they said they would and didn't bang up my new walls in the process. They did it all in one day and cleaned up when the job was finished.

We decided to have the basment carpeted to provide a play area for the grand kids. Didn't really know how far to go? Kathy Ranalli, the president and flooring consultant for Carpet Ladies, contacted us and grasped immediately what we were trying to accomplish. She provided suggestions/recommendations and gave an estimate of cost and time-all within a day! After a little haggling on my part (minor changes), we agreed on job specs and cost. (Kathy even gave us a military discount!) In a few days, Kathy's installer was here to do the vinyl areas around the wash sink and sump pump. He also prepared the entire area for carpet installation while here. On the second day, he completed the job. Very professional.

They did great-very short turn around time. The installer was kind and professional. We asked them to return to fix a couple of spots and they did at no charge. Easy! Kathy is great at helping you get the right color.

Kathy and her installers did an excellent job. We were very pleased with how the tile and carpet were installed.

Excellent. Kathy brought over the carpet samples and measured the room. The installation went off very well with the team of installers showing up on time and having everything done in the room in about 2 hours. This was my second time using Carpet Ladies, so I did not shop for price.

Excellent. We had a scheduling issue on the original install day, but the carpet ladies made up for it by sending a floor installation person who was dedicated to doing a perfect job. We love our floor.

Would recommend Carpet Ladies for flooring, Kathy did a wonderful job working with us over the phone from long distance to make the right selections. Her installers were great. Only problem came was when we used Kathy to get a sub to do some painting for us. The sub was most unprofessional and ripped us off for a substantial sum. Made the move most stressful for us. But once again, would utilize the Carpet Ladies for your flooring needs.

Kathy arrived in the morning for an afternoon appointment. This could have been awkward, since another carpet contractor was scheduled for the same time when Kathy arrived. Her attitude toward this situation was, ''Too bad for him, I'm here first!'' and proceeded to continue on with the appointment. Fortunately, the installers were more courteous and considerate and did a very good job with the carpet. They were careful with our furniture and were efficient with the installation. They arrived on time and cleaned up afterwards. The Carpet Ladies bid was the lowest of all the quotes we received, and fortunately, they also did a good job. We were looking for a quick & inexpensive carpet replacement, since we were selling the property. Punctuality & professionalism of the installers was excellent, but those of the owner (Kathy), was sub-par. Hence, the mixed score.

Very positive. Dealt directly with Kathy, the owner. She returned all calls within 2 hours, was able to schedule the estimate within two days, and install the new carpet a week later (had to order it or would have been able to do it two days after estimate!) The workers were prompt, and Kathy came with them to introduce them and inspect the work.

WE WERE ESPECIALLY AMAZED OF THE CONTRACTORS WHO CAME TO OUR RESIDENCE, VERY POLITE, ON TIME, AND CLEANING UP EACH DAY SO WE COULD USE OUR GARAGE. THESE ARE THE TYPES OF GENTLEMEN YOU DON'T MIND FIXING LUNCH FOR, BECAUSE THEY WERE SUCH A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. CRAFTSMANSHIP WAS #1 & PRICES ARE MUCH BETTER THAN GOING TO ANY RETAILER, BECAUSE THEY BRING THE SHOWROOM TO MY HOUSE AND BUY DIRECT FROM THE MILL!! VERY HAPPY CLIENTS...

SALES AND INSTALLERS WERE BOTH VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY, AND ACCOMMODATING. EVERYTHING HAPPENED ON SCHEDULE AS PROMISED. GREAT PRICE AND OUTSTANDING OVERALL SERVICE.
