Excellent process from picking the material (which she brought to my living room), reviewing the color choices in the space, and the installation process went off well. What I really liked was her installers could do both carpet and linolium. Other providers said they needed two crews and would need to charge me a $250 minimum for my 16 sq ft of linolium.

We purchased carpet for two large downstairs rooms and our entire upstairs this winter and couldn?t be happier with the service we received from Carpet Ladies! I was stumped on where to shop because I?d done some homework on how to buy carpet and was aware of the fact that it?s similar to working with used car salespeople. Then I turned to Angie?s List and found Carpet Ladies with an A rating? there were others but it being a business run by ladies got me:-) From the first contact with them I knew I?d made the right decision. They came to my home with samples geared towards my required specifications and desired style. About two weeks later, my carpet was installed by a very polite, trustworthy and hard working crew, which Carpet Ladies has worked with for a long time. I would definitely work with this company again!

I needed a small area of carpet "kicked in" . I told Kathy I needed it done the following week. She said it was a "fill in" job and she would call her installers to schedule and call me back asap.Kathy never called back to schedule the job.I specifically ask her to call me regardless and she said she would. I wasted several days waiting for her call before I got someone else.

Kathy with Carpet Ladies was very responsive and honest. She arrived with several rug samples exactly the type I was searching for. She helped me pick out the right rug type for my staircase and never tried to oversell me which I liked. The rug was made then installed shortly after.

I called Kathy to make an appointment for an estimate on installing some carpet on a set of stairs and laminate in a bedroom and hallway. Kathy was very flexible in setting up an appointment convenient for me. She is very knowledgable on flooring. The installers were great. Paid great attention to detail. I was having laminate that looked like hard wood floors and they made sure the new flooring matched the old flooring that was already installed. They also did not hesitate to to ask me questions and even had me look over their work several times. Experience overall was good. One note: It took longer than anticipated to set up a time to install the flooring. Originally we were planning on having the flooring installed within 2 weeks from our initial meeting. Because of the type of carpet and time for delivery, it took 4 weeks before we could schedule a time to install. Once everything was delivered, Kathy was very accommodating in setting up a time for installation.

Kathy was very helpful. She ordered a product I had found elsewhere (at a comparable price). Her two installers were very good and did an excellent job with the installation. My only concern was that the installation took 3 days instead of the 2 I had anticipated -- partly, I think, because on the first two days there was only 1 person doing most of the prep work. I was especially pleased that Kathy's crew was able to move the appliances required and the toilet -- and reinstall them all correctly. (Several people who gave me quotes indicated that we would have to arrange separately for a plumber to do that.)

It was OK overall. Kathy worked hard to get the major things done prior to us moving into the house. The flooring looks good, and it's nice that they added a transition shim between the much higher tile floor in the kitchen and the carpet in the family room so it's no longer a tripping hazard. We did have a couple issues. The subcontractor who did the hardwood floor didn't show up for the job on the scheduled day. I understand things happen (sick kid was his excuse), but what really ticked me off was he didn't call to let me know and I burned my vacation waiting around for him. When the installers were putting in the laminate in the living room, they scratched up our freshly painted walls in a few places. Not huge, but we have to go back and fix it. The installers also asked my wife (who was home at the time) for adhesive and some tools. Aren't they supposed to have everything they need? One of the flooring guys also really wanted to use our refrigerator to store something. That was very strange. One final thing was we had written some very specific things in the contract such as bringing up the subfloor in the living room to be level with the tile and adding shoe molding in the same room. After this had been signed off on, Kathy decided it wasn't practical to do which ultimately I agree with. Still, I wish that was made clear initially but I felt like she may not have thought it through while writing up the proposal.

Kathy took care of us from start to finish. She bent over backwards to help us in a tough spot. She was very kind, was very responsive in spite of the fact that we needed her to come out to give us an estimate on her birthday and the same day she did a 5K run! They were professional and the carpet install looks great. The reason I gave them a "B" is because their original estimate was provided verbally and incorrectly. She told me originally $3500 and she meant $4500. We then upgraded the carpet a bit because we didn't like the samples provided, so we ended up going from "Hey we can get carpet for $3500!" to "Wow, this is actually going to cost $5000....geez this sucks." I did shop around a bit after the price shocker, but found their prices were reasonable and her install was quick and ready to go, so we stuck with her.Also I am finding we keep stepping on tack strips in the basement. Ouch! I don't know if that's solely because we went with basic carpet in our basement (in case it floods I don't want to have to replace the good stuff!) or because the installation was less than perfect. In any event, I haven't even contacted the company to do anything about it mostly because I figure there's nothing they CAN do about it. I do wish I hadn't let her talk me into the cheap stuff for the basement...however that is my fault and not theirs.Overall, I'd use them again but make sure to get a written estimate, look at lots of samples and ask lots of questions.

We had received 2 estimates and wanted to get one more. My husband noticed The Carpet Ladies reviewed on Angie's List so I called for an estimate. Kathy initially was very responsive, gave some good suggestions on carpeting and the price was very competitive, so we decided to go with The Carpet Ladies. The installers were professional and very nice. They finished the job late into the evening and asked for the balance due before they left. This gave us just a short time to check everything out before handing over the check. Everything looked great, but what we found out the next day was that the cable in our bedroom no longer worked. We initially didn?t press the matter too much. My husband was willing to check things out but couldn't find anything. The installer finally stopped by a couple of weeks later, but couldn?t find anything that he felt was his responsibility. Surely this had to be more than coincidence; the cable worked just fine before the carpet installation. In addition to this, I've repeatedly requested proof of purchase and warranty information. Initially, Kathy said she would put something in the mail. The last request (8 days ago) has not even been acknowledge. Now it's been almost 2 months since the installation, and we still have absolutely nothing that shows proof of purchase, warranty, care instructions, etc.. It seems like providing this information should be such a simple, basic part of doing business. What is the problem here?

.Not many flooring services seemed interested in a small job like this. I called Carpet Ladies and talked to Kathy. She said they are fine with small jobs and have a way of scheduling them together to make it work. She came out to give me an estimate really fast, I think it was the night I called or the day after. She seems to be willing to meet people outside of the normal 9-5 hours, which is excellent given that myself and probably most people have jobs that make it inconvenient to meet during business hours. Scheduling the install was a bit trickier. I had to wait for my padding material to come in. After that it was Easter weekend, and installers don't want to work then. There was another delay because the carpet, which had to be ordered, was behind schedule. I was scheduled pretty quickly once the carpet was in, and Kathy kept me in the loop in the meantime. The carpet was installed really well! Three of the walls in the room were cinder block walls, and they got the carpet right up to the edges. That could come in very handy in a place where trim might look ugly. I chose to use special padding because the bubble-foil-bubble insulation has very nice properties for this project. The room is to be used as a computer filled chillout/LAN room. So it's good to have a fairly firm padding. There will be pets, so if they happen to urinate on it, then it should be easy to clean up. It's also a basement, so water is a perpetual concern. This insulation has the right stuff: it's a vapor barrier, a radon barrier, it can't absorb fluids, it isn't very compressible, and it is a good thermal insulator. (If you intend to use this in a project, make sure you get the right kind: for under floors/concrete; you probably want the 140 PSI compression strength, amongst other things.) Unfortunately, the floor makes crinkling sounds when walked on, which is something I never read about while researching the material. This isn't the installers fault, and they suggested that I have them add a thin layer of normal carpet padding to muffle the sound. I declined because I don't want there to be any places for hidden mold to grow if water gets into it. Kathy suggested that a thin layer of cork over the bubble insulation might help. I tried it on a small 2'x2' sample square and it seems to work well. I am planning to have this carpet reinstalled with the thin layer (3mm) of cork added in. We learned about Kathy from Angie's List. Kathy came to our house a day or two after our initial phone call. She brought carpet samples that she thought would meet our needs based on our conversation with her. During our conversation we expressed concerns about picking out a carpet and pad that would be safe for our health and environmentally green. Kathy was knowledgeable about her products and provided us with verbal and written information. The job was completed as scheduled without any problems. Kathy was bubbly and energetic, and easy to work with. We plan on working with Kathy this fall to replace the upstairs carpet.

Excellent! The owner even stopped by to see how the work was going, and she took time to give us ideas and an estimate on replacing our kitchen flooring.

Found Kathy on the list along with 3 others, placed calls and she was the first I spoke with. I explained what I needed to have done, what the size of rooms were, carpet type, etc. She explained the process, time frame and cost. Enjoyed speaking with her and waited to receive paperwork regarding phone conversation. During that time I called the others to which I only spoke with one person, left messages. She followed up with me and set a time for the install. Made suggestions about any prep work I might need to do regarding pets. The installers called before the arrived and started promptly at 9AM. Explained why they were doing what they were, how they could lay the room out without a seam and provided quality work. Cleaned up as they went and asked if there was anything else they could help me with. Kathy called during the install and then again after to speak with me. Overall very pleased with the work and am considering hiring them again for upstairs replacement.

The overall experience was convenient, and they gave me plenty of time to make a decision in the comfort of my own home. I would highly recommend the Carpet Ladies to all my friends.

Took advantage of bid deal offer and saved me money overall. Didn’t have to shop retail stores and they came quickly to appointment since I told them we wanted house on market soon and everything was helpful.

Kathy the owner, I met several times before I could finalize the colour. One was very patient in narrowing down flooring, hardwood choices, a chocolate color hardwood in the entire 1st floor - It rocks. I decided at the last minute not to remove. My own "aa", floors it, old ceramic and carpet. The contractors were trusted enough for me while out of town to work. The owner supervised entire project. We have referred this company to others, nice working guys and will call you when we need carpet. Took a little longer than I thought but that's because I had no extra time to get old flooring out. Got info from client by phone.

I found Carpet Ladies on Angie's List and am happy that I did. Kathy was great to work with and has a fun personality. She communicated well (text messages seemed to be her preferred method of communicating) and was always willing to bring over samples & leave them for me or work around my schedule. She also gave me instructions on how to remove the old carpet & seal the floor since I was doing that part myself. She does seem unorganized but nonetheless I am happy with the final results. My carpet was installed by two men, one who seemed experienced & the other not so much but both were nice. The less experienced installer was constantly drinking out of a full big gulp cup with a straw & made me so nervouse the whole time that he was going to accidently spill it on my new carpet...he didn't though. Kathy installed the floor strips where the carpet ended & another floor type started; Im very pleased with the strips that she picked out to match the existing floor. I liked working with Kathy & will use her again when I need carpet. If she gets organized she would be really great. I was disappointed that I couldn't use the coupon that is on Angie's List. It says 35% off, but she said that that she doesn't take the coupon because her flooring is so discounted to begin with. I don't see the point of having a coupon listed if she won't accept them. Despite all of the dysfuntion that occurred during the process (which was pretty minimal & sometimes comical in a good way) it all came together well and was a good price which is what matters most to me.

This was my first home that I purchased and didn't like the existing flooring which had a cheap laminate and dirty beige carpet. I've always liked hardwood flooring and wanted a solid oak floor. One of Carpet Ladies distributors was from Granville, Ohio. They offered a premium select 3/4" solid white oak at an affordable price. I chose not to have any stain because I wanted the natural color of oak and it blended with the other wood tones in my home. A dark stain would show the dust, foot prints, and would be an issue with my rugs and plants showing the outline of sun exposure. The installer stated that if I ever scratched it; the natural color would be the best choice for me. They brought the wood to my home to acclimate to room temperature before they could install it. This allowed me to check the quality of the wood; as I had asked for no knots. On day one of installation, they checked my subfloor for squeaks. I had a couple of squeaks and they did a moisture check. The installation took a couple of days and they were very organized, neat, and clean. I felt very comfortable with the crew that was sent out (a male and female team) and left to do errands. I liked the fact they cleaned up each day after they were done and wasn't dealing with a bunch of trash. Everything ran very smoothly. The contractors allowed me to watch and learn and made sure my pattern was random length installed. I was very picky and grateful that they allowed me to do this. I was concerned that the sanding process was going to be a total mess; and was surprised that the dustless sander left little residue. Overall; the project looks absolutely beautiful! With wood floors, I know it can scratch compared to laminate but the quality is far superior - and I have added value to my home. The price was very reasonable on the wood so I would consider other flooring projects in the future.

A very positive experience and consumer satisfaction.

Kathy was great. Came to my house in the evening to suit my schedule, and was very informed about which carpet to choose. Because we are selling our house, we wanted carpet that would be nice enough to help the sale, but not break the budget. Kathy was able to provide us with in stock carpet, at a decent price and quality, and was able to have it installed within a week's time, again, in the evening to suit our schedule. The installers were great ... very nice, hard-working, and they did a great job. We are very pleased with the results.

Cory showed up on time and was very nice and very knowledgeable. He pulled up the carpet in the master bedroom closet and we found there was very good padding underneath it...but that there was a problem with the subfloor. They had apparently not leveled it where the boards meet. He could have done that for us, but it would have required gluing something...and then drying time that I did not have. SO, he just stretched the carpet and smoothed it out. He did a good job there, the bump in the floor is not as evident as it was. Then he stretched all the upstairs carpeting I had requested be done. It looks just wonderful (like new carpet was put down!). I was VERY pleased with the job overall. I also feel the price charged was reasonable. I was also impressed with Kathy, the owner of the company, who I spoke to on the phone. She had no problem with my cancelling the carpet cleaning...and was just fine with taking small jobs like mine. I will also call her for a quote the next time I need carpeting, as Cory told me she gets good rates with the contacts she has in the carpet industry. Bottom line is...I would definitely recommend this company and use them again.

I purchased The Big Deal - original order in Aug., did not have them come until Sept/Oct. Kathy was very personable and made sure that I was happy with the installation. Any questions or concerns I had were resolved quickly.

The restretch was well done and the cleaning service she contracted also did a very good job. The only problem was that They were somewhat pushy in trying to sell us some carpet in a room that has very damaged carpet and offered a deal that really wasn't a terribly good deal.

NO PROBLEMS. KATHY VERY KNOWLEDGABLE,HELPFUL AND THOUGHTFUL REGARDING MY NEEDS AND HOW TO PROVIDE BEST SERVICE. WILLING TO WORK WITH MY SCHEDULE. INSTALLERS WERE VERY PLEASANT PROFESSIONAL AND EXPERIENCED. WILL VERY DEFINITELY USE SERVICES AGAIN AND RECOMMEND CARPET LADIES SERVICES TO OTHERS.

We signed up this company through Angie list's promotion. The first time, carpet was delivered with a big whole in it. Half was installed and the remaining half was returned. The 2nd time, carpet was delivered with wrong color, a slightly different color. We had planed to accept this batch so we could finish the basement. We called and the owner didn't call back. They directly pulled the carpet and returned it to the company. Since then, the owner raredomly called us back. We kept on asking for the delivery schedule and could not know. We had to push a couple of times. We were told it was rare situation that we experienced so much trouble to install the carpet. The owner appologized and explained the situation afterwards. We realized that this is a special situation out of the control of the company.
