I called early on Tuesday and they were able to come out Thursday to spray a very active hive of honey bees that had settled under my front porch. Their man was professional and very helpful, and gave me a lot of good advice, both on the bees and on other pests issues we were having at the time. He hit the bees with a kind of dust pesticide, which did not get anywhere but in the beehive. He told me to make sure that if I saw more bees, I called them right away to make sure that the hive was eradicated during their 30 day guarantee. About two weeks later, I did see a few bees, and they came right back out to get rid of them, with no hassle. I have not seen any bees since.

I saw a dying baby mouse in my kitchen and knew that there must be a mother somewhere. I tried mouse traps, but they just fed the mouse, didn't catch it.I've lived here for 25 years and never had a mouse problem, and wanted to get an exterminator in before it became a BIG problem.Of the three companies I called from Angie's List, Capital City was the quickest to respond, and had the soonest available time for service, and was priced well.He showed me where he thought it got in my house, taught me some simple fixes and also asked if I happened to have a carpenter ant problem. I'm glad he brought it up, because I did have some ants, but didn't know what kind they were. He was just being observant, and showed me that they were coming from my tree in the front yard. He offered different ways to treat it, and taught me how to deal with it in the future.

Called them with bees buzzing around in my bedroom on a Friday afternoon. They basically said they were so busy that they could not come out until Monday and that I was on my own. I obviously can not comment on their service quality. At least the lady was courteous and sympathetic. As to calling them again, I would give a Maybe.

The provider was willing to come quickly. They treated when I could not be home. They left me an invoice. It was quick and easy.

It all went very well from start to finish. I felt relieved that he would come again and spray without cost to us if the bees were still there in 30 days.

The location is very convenient for me which is nice. The office is very helpful and responsive whenever I call them. The crew has always been very friendly and professional. I would recommend this company to anyone and will continue use. I haven’t had a problem with them at all.

John was very professional, knowledgeable, respectful and personable to work with. This was a very stressful and frustrating time for us, and he gave us the information and guidance needed to be successful. He arrived on time as promised and consistently returned our calls when we had questions or concerns.

John from Capital City was actually out twice. On his first trip, he placed bait in both locations. In the basement, he placed the bait in the ceiling. In the garage, he place several bait traps scattered near doors. He returned in about two weeks to check the bait traps, to refill the bait and to place a couple of additional traps in the basement when we told him that a mouse had still been spotted. He gave me instructions on what to look for and when to check the traps for additional activity. On his second trip to the house, he actually helped with another issue. On the previous evening, one of our dogs had been sprayed by a skunk. He noticed the smell as soon as he came in the house and made a recommendation for treatment of the house. I purchased the product from the Capital City office, and it did help. We have not seen another mouse since the second trip.

They had sent out the owner. The guys that were involved were concerned and very helpful. They were very professional. I would use them again in the future.

They did a very good job. They sprayed the house for us. Haven't see too many bugs after the spraying. The price was very reasonable.

Everything turned out just fine. They are very professional company. If you do find any bugs or pests after they have come out they will return for no charge. They are very prompt and always on time. I will continue to use this company.

. I like them a lot for most parts. They are pretty quick to come out; and I get good responsiveness from them. I have had a bunch of ivy grow up my house to a point that I could no longer tear it down. I have a brick house with wood dormers and I have been busy and it got away from me. So when we were having our painting done, the painters as part of the estimate tore down all of the ivy. But the person from Capital City, because I saw the borer bees again I asked them to come out and nip them in the bud this year. That is when he said that I don’t need to because I just had the fresh coat of paint and that he is not going to purge me and do something which has no value. So he would not do that to me. However since there are some ants climbing up the brick and it could cause a problem, and I saw those carpenter ants on the ivy. But the ivy is coming down and they are not climbing up the bricks. So he said ones the painters are done he would come out and spray the whole house. I have a four storey house. On one hand I thought what he said is great and on the other hand I assumed that he thought he could make some serious bucks out of this stupid woman. I thought that was pretty silly. He was not the guy that I usually have. I have had good experiences with this company and I think it is unfair that because of this one instance I should grade them badly. Sometimes people do have a weird day and get weird ideas and that does not mean that everyone should go down with the ship. I have always liked their price.

I had been having trouble with groundhogs digging near the foundation of my house. They had 3-6 holes in the front and back of my house and I was tired of filling in the holes. Capital City has provided ongoing termite extermination for a couple of years and when they came to inspect for termites, they noticed the hole under the front porch and I decided to find out how I might get rid of the groundhogs. The serviceman set two traps. He quoted a fee of $75 every time they came out to pick up an animal. I was told to call right away when an animal was caught. They were not allowed to leave an animal in the trap more than 24 hours. The trap is humane and doesn't hurt the animal. They take the animal away into the country and release it. About a month went by without any animals being trapped. The serviceman came by again and put some peanut butter in the traps. The next day a groundhog was caught. I called and they came out to get it right away. The next day a raccoon was caught. Again, they came out right away. Another groundhog was caught. Late in the afternoon another groundhog was caught. Even though they were about to close, the serviceman came out to get the animal. I had decided not to have any more traps set, having caught 4 animals. The serviceman suggested a method of finding out if any animals were still using the holes, without having to fill them in with dirt. He took both traps with him. When I received the bill for the services, I was surprised that they charged me $15 less for each pickup than had been quoted in the estimate. I was very pleased with the servicemen's promptness in picking up the animals, their friendly helpful manner toward me in person and on the phone and their helpful advice. I got the results I had hoped for and was very pleased with the service that was provided.

They have been fabulous. We are using them for termites and they have been good about taking care of it for us. We are happy with them. They come out frequently and check to make sure everything is okay. They are good. They come out routinely and it is part of the contract. They agreed to come out for a few months just to check the traps and everything. They do inside inspection once a year. They are really nice people and very conscientious. We have also had some ants and they have been good about taking care of it for us. The charge for the termite treatment was pretty expensive but it was worth it. They are very professional. They are very thorough with their inspections. They came promptly when I had the problem. They are considerate when they come into my home. They make sure that they don’t make any mess. I don’t know how to rate them on price because I don’t know what others would charge. We got what we needed. We were willing to pay for it. We would continue to use them in the future.

They were great. They had good customer service. They were on time. They followed up if we had any issues after the service. I don’t remember how much we spent because we had signed up for the yearly contract with them. We would use their services again in the future.

I have a contract and they come out three times a year. They are fabulous. They just spray the outside of the house so they never have to come in. They can if I want them to. They take care of the problem.

Booked on monday came on thursday. On time, explained process after examining issue then used age insecticide inside & a power sprayer around outside base of home. Ants are gone !

I use them on a regular basis. I have a yearly contract with them. They come out monthly. I think the technician's name is John. He is very friendly, reliable, and punctual. He is very good and has always been very reliable. I am satisfied with Capital City Exterminating Company Inc. They always want to know if they can help me in any other way.

Fair price and very good at what they do.

So far all is good. We have not seen any more ants since the service was completed. And I have heard stories from other people about the invasion of ants (since the season is upon us) and I have happily recommended Capital City Exterminating to them.

I've had him out twice on two different locations. The guy was very nice and knowledgeable. He did stuff that works. He was very good. He was on time and he was thorough. He did what he said he would do.

I started using them in 2005. The termite is a yearly contract and they come on a revolving basis. They are very professional and very knowledgeable. They walked us through everything and gave us a lot of literature because it is scary to have a termite problem. They also gave us a DVD and they made sure that we understood what they were doing. The guy that comes out every couple of months is always very polite and answers any questions that I have.

It was quick and easy. The fellow was very good and it not take him long to find out where they were coming from. I have not had a problem since.
