No opinion on work quality, only feedback is that they were unresponsive-- they did not return calls.

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of Eddie Jenkins, who came out from Capital City Exterminating Co. and took care of the ant problems inside and out. He reassured me about the gel treatment indoors, which is odorless and will not pose a problem with my children or pets. This was a great relief - as I had been using insecticide spray with little success. The cost is well worth it, given this will eliminate the bug issues (and prevent the need for me to spray more chemicals inside). Excellent work. Thank you!

Went well. Jeff was on time. Work was completed. He did his best to get the problem fixed right away. Sprayed and tried hard to figure out where they came from. However, Unless I got involved, I am not convinced that they would have sprayed the entire under section of the window. However when pointed out he took care of it.

This company seems to be very reliable and trustworthy. The technician resolved the problem. we asked him to return for a check-up every six months at the reasonable cost of $75 per visit.

John arrived and inspected the exhaust fan and air duct where the birds (4) were located. The birds were in a particular bad situation given the routing of the air duct in that they could not leave on their own. I greatly appreciated John's strategy and approach to the situation from the very start. He was successful in removing all of the birds as carefully as possible and cleaned the areas where the birds were. John was very professional, prompt and follow-up was exceptional. We sincerely appreciate the exceptional service and care he took in taking care of the situation and our home. We plan to recommend Capital City Exterminating Co. to others and plan to use them again in the future.

I used this company about 5 years ago and they are still great! Punctual and professional from beginning to end.

They did a good job. He let me know how I could do it if I wanted to save money, and how he could do it. He was very knowledgeable.

He was prompt and completed the job as he described it. He sent a map showing where the stakes were located and left a report when he came to check them in November, detailing what he found and where. He was very professional and friendly.

John came out quickly and resolved the problems professionally. He retreated with some heavier types of pesticides to rid our home of a carpenter ant problem around the exterior of the home. We haven't seen any more bugs in the home since this treatment. John was very helpful and reassuring that the problem would go away....he was right! Thank you, John for the great work!

Excellent. He was on time, and explained thoroughly what needed to be done while he was there and what I needed to do to prevent a future occurrence. The problem appears to have been solved. I was pleased with all aspects of the work.

The exterminator found the job was smaller than had been quoted and sent me a bill for 60% of what had been quoted. He could have charged me the quoted amount but was very fair.

Job one: We found what appeared to be a roach inside the home and contacted Capital City Exterminating to see what was involved with interior spraying for cockroaches. He inspected it and said it was a water bug, commonly entering the home from the outside. He recommended an exterior perimeter pest spray instead. They scheduled it as soon as the weather cooperated. They sprayed 14' up and out from the base of the house. Their service was great, and so far, we haven't seen many pests inside. Job Two: We were getting millipedes in the basement. Capital City recommended spraying both interior and exterior, but due to indoor cats, and convenience, we requested exterior only. They said that would probably help quite a bit because the exterior spray for millipedes is concentrated at the foundation, but without spraying inside, it may not eradicate them. Within a day of spraying, there were significantly less millipedes; and within a week or two, they were gone.

Job 1: It went great. I called and made an appointment. The exterminator showed up on time. He was very knowledgeable and explained what had happened and what I needed to do in the future. He put down the traps and literally that day I didn't see a mouse again. He came back once to change out the traps and explained the next steps and what I needed to do to keep the problem from re-occurring. Job 2: They are great. John came and explained the process and sprayed all the rooms, He explained that all of the current fleas would be dead, but that we might get another group of fleas that haven't yet been hatched, but that they would die as the product he used would last around 6 weeks. It went very smoothly.

Due to water damage on ceiling tiles in the basement, I started to investigate where the water was coming from. I purchased this condo in 2004, built in 1965 with no known prior termite infestation. After pulling out the old spray foam around header, I found prior or current terminate/carpenter ant damage. I had small ants and winged ants in the area and what I thought was a possible terminate. I checked Angie's List and found many positive customer comments on Capital City Exterminating. Ron Belknap came over, checked the damaged area along with viewing both outside and inside the front and back foundation. He found no evidence of active termites which was wonderful. He could easily have sold me on an $800+ termite treatment but instead told me to keep an eye out for any new damage and showed me what to look for. I asked him what I could do about the ants and he proceeded to tell me that I could handle this problem myself. He sold me Bronide ($12.50) & instructed on how to proceed.

They did a great job, came the same day I called. They were a little pricey but respond right away.

Very well. The woman who answered the phone when I called was very pleasant and set up an appointment that was convenient for me. The technician showed up right on time, looked over the nest and went to work. When he was finished he explained to me what he had done and what to expect over the next few days. They gave me a small Angie's List discount and a 30 day warranty on the removal.

Very well, John was very prompt, friendly and made sure that the bees and the ants were gone.

Representative John Addair, called ahead of my appointment time to advise that he could come earlier if I desired. He listened intently to my complaints of ants and spiders, and explained much about these critters and their behavior patterns. He then surveyed my home inside and out, identifying many areas of concern. He also noted evidence of other creatures which I didn't know I had. He showed me what to do to deter/eliminate future infestations, then offered to either begin spraying immediately or to return at another more convenient time. He first sprayed the basement, announcing when he was completed and providing an update as to how the bugs responded. He then sprayed the first floor before proceeding outside to spray the entire exterior. He let me know step by step what to expect. He was also adamant about calling him if any ants, spiders, bees or wasps were to return so he could come back to spray again. I called John upon referral by a neighbor. I couldn't be happier.

They came on time and did a good job. They didn't leave a mess and I haven't seen any ants so I would use them again.

Jeff was slightly late, but I didn't really mind. When he got there, he immediately started by spraying the garage and then the basement. He also (very helpfully) called my attention to a hole in our basement which could allow mice or other pests into the house. I was very grateful he pointed that out, as we were not aware of it. He then went to spray the outside of the house, top to bottom, including our flower beds and deck. I am very hopeful that this type of service will prevent the large majority of pests for the following year (which is what they estimate), but of course, that remains to be seen. However, they did give me a 60-day warranty on the work (as well as the Angie's List 5% discount), and overall I feel confident that their method is the best pest control solution. It all went very quickly too! I think the whole visit took no more than half an hour.

They sent out the owner and he told us that the problem was not termites as suggested but a dust issue from a previous problem. Even the receptionist said the symptoms didn't sound like termites. They saved us $1300 and we're very grateful for that.

GREAT!! I work nights, and Jeff was able to let me head to sleep while he did the job, and said he would just bill me, rather than have me wait up to give him a check.

I knew I had termites in the house, so Ron came over to inspect and give me an estimate. He was quite helpful, explaining what he found and what he proposed as a solution to my infestation. His was not the cheapest or the most costly bid I received but I was most comfortable with his proposed solution and think that the price was good given what he proposed to do. When they came to install the termite control they worked with me to insure I was satisfied with the installation. He and the technician were prompt, courteous, and professional and I look forward to working with them as they continue to monitor for termite activity over the next two years. I expect to renew the contract after the initial two year period is over.

8/15/07- This is an update. While I appreciated their professionalism upon their initial visit, the problem I had with roaches is still not fixed. I have e-mailed them and called them, but no response. I refuse to pay until the service is completed. The job of removing roaches was not finished.
