Description of Work: Nothing. I live in Kentucky and was visiting for a week in Columbus, Ohio. I cancelled the appointment since the only opening they had was October 19th which was not a convenient date and they did not have any earlier dates.

Description of Work: All they did was change my filter and claim everything else was working......my humidifier started leaking a few days later. I did not call them to repair it.

Description of Work: Awful...!! I was made to feel like I am a liar...I called in to angies list was very clear that I was a tenant going to move out of our address and I wanted a cleaning and check on the air conditioning system to make sure it wasnt dirty when we left. They got ahold of the company Best Services and I talked to their company told them the same thing to make sure the things I needed done were covered in the $39.95 deal we wanted then set up the appointment. I waited today from noon til about 3:45. The guy came and I told him the same thing that we just needed to make sure these things are done so that everything is good before we leave for our rental agreement. He freaked out..! Made me feel like I was a criminal breaking the law said he is only supposed to do this if the owner called. I told him I was very clear about why I needed this done and what needed to be done. I told him that was so important why didnt anyone ask me that simple question...are you the owner...before I scheduled or why didnt he ask me before he walked in the door. He called someone was condemned me as if I was in the wrong...I had no idea what the laws or rules are...what can and cant be done. He said he was not supposed to even step inside your house I told him then he can get out! He acted like I purposely pretended to be the owner and lied...which I didnt. If he was so worried about breaking rules or laws why wasnt that his first question to me before he walked in my door. If I was lying or trying to deceive why would I have ever have said anything about being a tenant at any time of his visit? He then asked me about my other address listed whos address is that....which was weird too... I told him that was our mailing address. The bottom line to me is that...I have no idea what they can and can't do and just like their customer service rep told me that they don't know who is the renter or the owner either...my opinion is that if that is true...why wouldn't you make a point of asking before setting up the appointment, wasting my time and making me feel like a criminal! He refused service...in the rudest way...thos was the first time I ever used Angies list I was going to use it for other services...not so sure right now! I want my money back!

Description of Work: checked heating system, changed filter ( swapped the filter I bought for the one the correct size ) Very professional, prompt, and friendly. Will use BEST SERVICE HEATING AND COOLING again and recommend them highly.

Description of Work: Several months ago, I purchased a "Special Deal" (the one and only H/C "deal" that I have purchased through Angie's List) for a furnace check and "turn up" but since it has been so long ago, I am unsure of the date and company name. The name sounds very familiar but please check this out before using my recommendation. | If this is the "Deal", the tech did come out to inspect my furnace. He checked out the standard stuff--filter, humidifier, behind the "door", etc. The problem was that he couldn't do anything because he was unfamiliar with my York furnace and did not have any of the codes or setting to adjust, repair or "tune up" anything. The original furnace installer had not left a booklet containing this information. The Tech said this is a trick often used by some installers. If there is a problem with the furnace, the owner will be forced to call the installer for repairs since they are the only ones with this needed information. | The Tech called his company to get info but they couldn't do much to help him either. He promised that his company would call and reschedule. They would also try to provide me with a manual showing the correct settings and codes required to work on this furnace. To date, no one from his company has called. | I don't remember if anyone asked what brand of furnace that I had before coming out but I think their service would be greatly improved by having this needed information prior to their visit so they could do "something" for the money they charged. | I was impressed with the Tech sent out. He was on time, professional and seemed very knowledgeable. I'm sure that if prepared with the codes and settings needed to "check out" and "tune-up" my furnace, he would have done a good job. This company would have had my future business if they had followed through as promised. Instead, they were very disappointing.
