Best Service Heating & Cooling

We have used their annual agreement two years, with three different technicians performing the work. Two of the techs were very thorough and took time to explain all they were doing and why, and potential concerns. These two also took extra effort to service the AprilAire humidifier which had been installed in an awkward and difficult position. I did not feel they were trying to pressure me into purchasing new equipment, but they gave all the information I wanted. They worked carefully and respectfully.

It was a very pleasant experience. He explained what the problem was and what could be done to fix it. He explained other options that I had available to me. He told me that if what was wrong was what he thought it was, he told me about how much it would cost.

The above cost is for both checks in the year. They don't horse around. They know what the problem is and fix it without adding a bunch of extras and having to come back out.

Best did not show up the first day they were scheduled. When I called the next day, they blew off the no show and said they could come that day around 4p. I asked for a 1/2 hour notice. They called around 5p and said they were at my house! They neglected to call me 1/2 hour beforehand so I could get home! I said it would take me at least 30 min. to get home since it was so late. When I finally got home, their van was still in my driveway. I went out back, and the service man had ALREADY STARTED WORKING WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR BEING THERE! I was SHOCKED! He did the service, gave me an invoice, but when he called his boss for something else, the boss told him to charge me another $40! I refused to pay more than what was on the invoice since the service man had said it was the standard maintenance fee. The boss YELLED and YELLED at me on the phone! Two months later, someone else inspected my heat pump and said it didn't even look like it was even serviced (the condenser was filthy, etc.)

They were very good, very punctual, and it didn't take very long.

We called early on a Monday morning for someone to look at our air conditioner unit. The company was able to send a very knowledgeable repairman, Donnie, to fix our unit. He was detailed in his inspection of the air conditioner. He was careful to explain each step to me and answer my question courteously. While within my home, he even put shoe covers over his boots so as not to dirty my floors. Within minutes my unit was pumping cool air again. Choosing this company was the perfect choice for us. I won't hesitate to call them again!

I was very pleased with their service. They came the same day, I asked them to. Don, the service technician, was very professional and knowledgeable, and fixed the problem very quickly. He also gave us some pointers on keeping our Air Conditioner running properly in the future, and a heads-up on the expected lifetime of our unit for replacement planning. But thankfully, he did not try to sell us a new Air Conditioner. I was also, very pleased to find out that Best Service is a Christian company. They were excellent to work with and I will definitely, use them again in the future.

We have used them in the past. The owner came on a Sunday morning within an hour. The part that he put turned out to be faulty and went again in four or five days when I called he came back within about 20 minutes. There was no charge for the second visit. I felt the price was reasonable.

We like them quite a bit. The guy came over on his day off to finish the job. They came as soon as we called them, it was great. We've used them a handful of times over the past few years.

Very prompt, polite, friendly. Went over work done and explained everything clearly. I have used them before and would use them again.

The work went very well. They came out the same day I called. I called 5 other places who all had a waiting list of 3-4 days. The work was performed quickly, well, and professionally.

There was a part in the furnace that was going bad and they replaced it for only $100.

I had moved into this condo in January and only had the home inspection done before I closed. I signed up for a maintenance agreement with another Angie's List company. When he was checking the furnace, he found I had a cracked heat exchange. Since I had a HomeGard warranty, there were only five heating and cooling companies I could choose from and the one doing the maintenance was not one of them. The owner of Best Service was able to come out the same day and look at the furnace. He was able to work with HomeGard and instead of replacing the heat exchange I was able to get a new furnace. I was also able to get the furnace installed the same week, which was a good thing since the temperatures were going to get down into the forties. The two gentleman who arrived were very nice and went right to work. When they were done, everything was cleaned up and I had a new furnace. They also pointed out something else I should have done and got a quote for me.

The service man did not show up at the scheduled appointment time. When I contacted their office, I was treated in an unprofessional manner and told that they were not responsible for arriving on time. Very poor customer service. Failure to show up at scheduled time.

A serviceman came out to assess the damage to my heating and cooling system. The unit was so old, they could not find a model or serial number! They gave me a couple of options, and I chose to have the system replaced. That was on a Friday; two men were at my house at 8 AM on the next Tuesday. They even accommodated my need for the install to completed before the heat of the day. They were leaving just after 12 noon after having tested the unit and explained my new thermostat. The two men were professional and funny and got the work done SO quickly. And cleaned as they went! I am very pleased!

I found that in comparing various leading brands of equipment, Maytag had a better warranty. Overall price when replacing the entire system was fairly similar between brands and providers. The work was performed in the time estimated and the workmen were on time, clean and respectful.

We obtained several quotes, Russ was the ONLY one who spent the time explaining our options to us, and letting us make the decision. Installers worked HARD in removing the old furnace, and the results are spectacular!

I HAVE A SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THEM AND THEY DID A VERY THOROUGH JOB. THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND EXPLAINED EVERY THING VERY WELL. I WAS VERY PLEASED.

WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE NEW SYSTEMS. THEY ARE MUCH MORE EFFICIENT THAN THE OLD, AND MUCH QUIETER. WE ARE LOOKING FOR OUR ENERGY BILLS TO GO DOWN A LOT. PLUS WE WILL HAVE A 10-YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY, AND THREE YEARS FREE SERVICE. THE SALESMAN (AND OWNER) RUSS KNOWS HIS BUSINESS.

ORIGINAL INSTALLATION 2 YEARS AGO WAS GOOD, AND THEY ARE VERY TIMELY WHEN CALLING TO SET UP A NEW MAINTENANCE CONTRACT IN SPRING, BUT POOR AT FOLLOWING UP IN THE FALL, WHICH HAS BEEN DISAPPOINTING.

THE CREW PERFORMED THEIR DUTIES IN A TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE.

RUSS CHRISTIAN PROVIDED US WITH DETAILED OPTIONS FOR REPLACING OUR FURNACE AND AIR-CONDITIONER, GIVING US THE INFORMATION WE NEEDED TO MAKE AN INFORMED CHOICE THAT FIT OUR NEEDS. HE PERSONALLY OVERSAW THE WORK AND MADE SURE THAT THE FINAL PRODUCT MATCHED HIS HIGH STANDARDS FOR INSTALLATION AND OPERATION. THE TECHNICIANS WHO HANDLED THE INSTALLATION WERE COURTEOUS, PUNCTUAL, AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. RUSS EVEN PROVIDED A TECHNICIAN TO FOLLOW UP AFTER THE INSTALLATION TO ENSURE THAT WE KNEW HOW TO OPERATE THE NEW THERMOSTAT, AND TO ANSWER QUESTIONS WE HAD. BEST SERVICE HANDLED OUR REPAIR/SERVICE NEEDS ON OUR OLD EQUIPMENT FOR SEVERAL YEARS PRIOR TO THIS, AND THEIR TRACK RECORD OF EXCELLENCE, COMBINED WITH COMPETITIVE PRICING MADE OUR CHOICE TO USE THEM SIMPLE. WE WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM FOR OUR HEATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING NEEDS.
