Best Service Heating & Cooling

We did not like their work, high priced and very unprofessional. Would not use again.

They are service people and knowledgeable. They have good tools. They seem to have better tools to work with. The owner seems to be involved with everything. The price was within reason and fair amount. The quality is very good.

I have been a customer there for three years. They are honesty and have integrity. They came out on a Saturday, which I think is unusual. They were prompt and their work turned out very well. We get them every year for two inspections; one in the fall then again in the spring for the air conditioning.

We had a problem with our four-year old furnace in Nov 2014. We had used Best Service for our "fall" tune-up so called them when our furnace wouldn't kick on. They told me to turn it off, let it sit for a few minutes & then turn it back to see if it would kick on. It did kick on but we still had them come out to check things out. Service tech came out & read error codes (one being "switch") but bc furnace was on, no part was changed. Furnace went out again on 1/8/15 & we once again called Best Service who responded by sending out a service tech. Same thing, turn off furnace, see if it kicks back on (it did). Technician came out but brought switch "just in case". However, that error code wasn't coming up & he determined it was bc we had so many vents closed off & the furnace was like overheating or something. Once the vents were open, the temperature of the running furnace dropped into normal range. On 1/14/14 furnace went out a THIRD time. Immediately called Best Service & they offered to come out that evening to check things out. Unfortunately, we were not available that evening so the earliest they could get us in was btwn 1-5 on 1/15/15. At 7:30 am on 1/15/15 we recd a call saying the service tech would be there within 30 minutes. We were extremely happy that our appt had been made a priority as it was 50 degrees in our house. Tech was there before 8 am & this time, the switch actually failed to make connection so they were able to replace it. I totally understood them not wanting to replace parts willy nilly ... they wanted to make sure they were replacing the part that was actually causing the furnace to shut down. It took three times for it to finally give out & not "reboot" but their service was great. Russ had even called me after hours to try to get someone there on 1/14 & was kind enough to juggle 1/15 schedule so that we could get a tech first thing in the morning. THIS is what is called great customer service & keeps customers happy. They stood behind their work, did not over charge for me the service calls & were finally able to replace the bad part (which was under warranty).

I got a couple of e-mails about reviewing it and I didn't respond because I didn't know correctly how to respond. It took a few week schedules for us to have a tenant because we I and my partner don't have time to go there and wait for them so we had to wait for about 4-6 weeks. The communication couldn't be completed until someone moves in there. To my knowledge the tenant made the appointment with them and not me. The service was done and it was satisfactory to the tenant. It wasn't a personal experience; it was an indirect experience. It was a positive experience. I have no complaints. Whoever was there during that time did a great job. They came on the scheduled time, came out and it was fine. Everything was done as expected.

Missed appointment-apparently not their problem. UPDATE: When I made the initial appointment I was quoted a service call fee of $37 as a Service Membership Plan holder. The response moved the service call charge to almost double this amount.

Russ, the owner, gave me a very reasonable price and along with the online Angie's List coupon, I got a really good deal. The company was able to set an appointment as soon as possible. The installers were professional, kept my place as clean as they possibly could and swept up afterwards. They took time to answer my questions about the equipment. I definitely would refer my friends to Best Service Heating & Cooling! And when/if I become in need of an a/c I will definitely call them again!

My Furnace shutting down 1st time they came and fix it and check all things, then still stopping, they came again next day with no charge and determine that my defuser fan is the problem. they offer to fix it for 800.00 or replace the Furnace for 2300 They did great job in finding the problem.

I called Saturday evening and spoke to a very friendly gentleman (I believe it may have been the owner). After explaining our issue, he guessed that we had some buildup that was preventing our furnace from staying lit and was able to schedule an appointment for Sunday about 1:00.He also took our number so that they could call us 30 minutes before they planned to arrive so that we could arrange to be there as we had to stay somewhere else on this cold night. Travis called shortly after 12:30. He arrived at our house within the hour, and took care of the problem quickly. It was a simple fix; they did not try to upsell us anything else. In fact, Travis told my husband that what he did should work and if there was another problem that popped up in the next few days (apparently there is a part that might be suspect), he would return but not charge us another diagnostic fee, just labor and parts. All in all, a good interaction with this company. Highly satisfied!

The furnaces checked out fine, but the humidifier had to be replaced, which was done at a later time, and at a reasonable price, and is working well now and helping decrease the winter dryness of the air.

They performed their service with punctuality, professionalism and efficiency. No complaints. We will use their services in the future.

I opted for the "pre-season" furnace tune up portion of the Big Deal. The service went really well. The Big Deal really drew me in because of the great price but I would definitely use them again for the same service.

Very well !! The installation went very well. The work was done in a professional manner. Very neat, very clean. I had planned to install the humidifier myself, but i asked how much they would charge to do it, I felt their price was very fair. even though they didn't have everything needed to install the humidifier, they were able to have someone deliver the parts. I Was in the service business for over 30 myself; both residential and commercial. I recognized this as commitment to customer satisfaction. There was a problem with my original thermostat which was resolved to my complete satisfaction. I would recommend this company to anyone!
