Description of Work: Purchased a Big Deal for an AC summer tune-up which was very reasonably priced. Ultimately, the job was not performed as the AC unit needed a service so it became a diagnostic service. While it was very nice of the company to switch the offer without additional charge, they still failed to identify the problem. So, I contacted the installing company who didn't have much problem making the identification. Nevertheless, the customer service was excellent the staff very nice. I would recommend this company.

Description of Work: New air conditioner, house is 3200 square feet. Old one needed a lot of repairs so got a new Maytag. Has been working well. Have used Bests Service for 10 years and they do a professional job and very responsive. I put a B for the A/C quality because I can't rate this until it has been in use for many years.

Description of Work: They removed an ancient boiler and water heater, ran new piping and installed an energy efficient boiler and a huge hot water tank that runs off the boiler. Also installed new zone controls and electronic thermostats. My gas bills have dropped dramatically. On any occasion that I've had follow-up questions or issues with the boiler (such as it shutting off if my water pressure drops too low, a safety mechanism), they have generally been able to schedule same day service. They cleaned up after themselves, were professional yet friendly and took time to explain what they recommended and were doing and why. I recommend them very highly.

Description of Work: I PURCHASED AN OLDER HOME LAST JUNE, AND IT IS COVERED BY HOMEGUARD. I HAD BEST COME OUT SHORTLY AFTER MOVING IN BECAUSE THE A/C & HEAT WOULDN'T COME ON. THEY FIXED IT FOR $100, THEN 6 WEEKS LATER I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY SAID THAT IT WASN'T EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM (HEAT NOT WORKING VS. A/C) AND IT WOULD COST $123. (HOMEGUARD PAID $23). THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PERSONABLE, BUT I STILL FELT THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE PROBLEM ON THE FIRST VISIT. I JUST HAD TO HAVE REPAIRS MADE AGAIN TODAY FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS TIME I USED ANOTHER COMPANY. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND MUCH MORE REASONABLE ($59.00).
