America's Floor Source

Carpet we initially selected was not available, but we were not told right away. Then there was a delay before new selection was available and installed. Installation was excellent. Quality of installed carpet was excellent. Aside from delay, we would have rated the company as A.

Based on a referral by a local contractor, I decided to work with America's Floor Source (AFS) to install new carpeting in my house. I moved to the Indy area for a new job and my Ft Wayne house was on the market for a few months. I have a beautiful home, but I was getting negative feedback from customers regarding my outdated wallpaper (since removed and walls re-painted- see my review for Bishop Painting Inc.) and my old, worn carpeting. AFS offered a new carpet to help complement my newly painted interior at a very reasonable price, and performed the work immediately. I was extremely impressed by their high quality of work- the installed carpet looked great and was dialed in perfectly. I have an "octagon room" (my great room) with some tricky geometry, but AFS did a nice job. AFS also neatly cut the carpet around heating vents and did a nice job in my walk-in closets. Reasonable price, outstanding quality and fast! Highly recommended.

Installation went well. Took about two days. But considering there was 700 sq ft and every entry to the house was effected, reasonable time. Installer knew what to do and took pride in work. He was 'old school' and made a pattern of our layout and cut vinyl prior to bringing it into the house to reduce on damage. Since this is a second layer vinyl, he skim coated vinyl to make sure old pattern was not visible. Also made sure transition from removed laminate to old vinyl was smooth. Will be using them again to purchase, replace, and install 1000sq ft of carpeting.

The price was excellent for the flooring we picked out. After they left, everything was clean. I was very pleased with that. They did not carry the pattern of wood that I wanted and they went ahead and they were able to get it through their vendors at a better price then anyone else.

I called them and talked to Derek who was very nice. I explained that I wasn't looking to buy new carpeting but was having this issue. He thinks that it is due to my carpet being older and that when carpet ages the backing of the carpet comes loose. Derek said he could come take a look at it for me for no cost that day. I had things going on that day so he is coming this afternoon to take a look at my carpet. He was very cordial, helpful and interested in helping my solve the issue.

I learned about America's Floor Source at the Parade of Homes. I picked up literature that was good for a 20% discount. I looked up the company on Angies List before calling for an appointment- the reviews were good. I was thrilled at first with the selection and help. They allowed me to bring home samples. After the first appointment however, it went down hill. I exchanged sampes many times trying to coordinate three rooms and an entry with new flooring. Everytime I would ask about pricing, I would get generic answers. I was very clear on my budget and had our measurements so that was not an issue either. I went to return samples on several occassions which was nice but...two times I rushed to get there before they closed to find that even with an appointment Chris was not available. I made my final decisions, thinking that I was within the cost and again never getting specific information. Chris came out to measure and again rushed in and out, literally he did not answer any of my questions and left so quickly he left one of the samples. It took three phone calls and an email to get my estimate.....it was way over my budget, was not even close to the prices he provided us with initially and then never followed up. I called to see why the amount was so much higher and, but he never had time to call or email me. The last time I stood in the showroom for 20 minutes and he never acknowlegded my existance and I had returned the left behind sample. I have now started the search again so hopefully I can actually get my flooring replaced. I guess unless you live in a Parade of Homes house your not worth their time.

Very professional at all steps. The installer was particularly skilled. We've had the carpet for about a year and it has worn very well so far.

The vinyl flooring and tile installers who performed the installation were professional,conscientious and very focused. They took their work seriously. The tile and flooring look fine and we are delighted with its appearance. Our major problem was scheduling and communication with the company rep in the showroom. Although we took pains to confirm scheduling dates of the vinyl flooring and tile flooring with the company rep, the tile was not available on the scheduled date (because it had not been ordered) and then on the rescheduled dates the installers did not show up on the agreed times because of communication problems in showroom office. We had to make repeated calls to find out what was going on when no one showed up to install the tile; then only to be told that the tile had not been ordered. It was frustrating to take time off work only to find out after several hours of waiting and phone calls that tile installation woul not be performed.

The salesperson for AFS was FABULOUS. He was ontime for our meeting, stayed until I fully understood what I was getting, and was readily accessible from that meeting to post-installation. The install team kept me waiting. But I contacted the salesperson, and he was all over it. He escalated my disappointment to upper management and I have had several apologies for the inconvenience. I honestly think it was a fluke. When they got to my home, the installers were professional, neat, did a GREAT job, and I am thrilled with the result. I will definitely call America's Floor Source in the future.

We initially met with a sales person in their showroom and picked out a few samples we liked. It was convenient using the A-Z pricing system they have setup so we knew where to look within our budget. We then met with Chris Miller at our home who was able to take the measurements and provided a quote within 24 hours (of two different carpets we liked). After choosing the best quote, it took about a week for the carpet to get in and from that point, they were able to hold the carpet for us, as we were still working on remodeling the home, and a few weeks later we called to schedule the installation and were able to have that done the next day! I was a bit disappointed with the installation as I had trouble with the language barrier of the installation crew. They did quality work other than one minor issue with knocking a hole in my wall (and didn't tell me about it). Wasn't a huge deal as I was more than capable of fixing it myself, but would have been nice to know about it before they left. Other than that, we are very pleased with the service and although I'm sure the company has many great sales people, I would absolutely recommend asking for Chris Miller, he knows how to treat the customer right.

The experience went great; they had a great price and put it in really nice. I will use them again in the future.

They came out the next day after I called them to give an estimate, and they scheduled the job for a few days later, which fit in very well with my schedule. They were very accommodating throughout the experience. They called back when they said they would, and checked with me to make sure that all had gone well. Scott, the installer, was especially helpful and professional in his dealings with me. He even obtained a small discount for me when he heard I was with Angie's List. He also offered to re-carpet the living room for just $200, which was a really good deal. But I couldn't take him up on it at the time. All in all, it was a very good experience, and I would hire them again in an instant.

Very friendly service. Price on exact same tile was $400-$600 higher at big box stores.. also ended up getting vinyl floor tile while we were there. Allowed us to mix and match various samples until we found the ones we were happy with.

We had a great sales meeting at the showroom. There was an extensive selection of carpets and Chris our salesman gave us some good recommendations. He came out and measured and the carpet was ordered and arrived in a timely manner. The installers were very good and did a great job installing the carpet and cleaning up afterwards. Overall a good experience. We would definitely use the company again.

Our Sales Rep, Chris, was very helpful and flexible on the installation dates. He even answered his cell phone on his day off when I had to reschedule. The installers were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy with our new carpet and laminate floors. Follow up 2/3/12. The carpet still looks great and we are very happy. Unfortunately we've had to have the laminate floor repaired more than 5 times in 5 months and we continue to have more problems with the seams and edges peeling. They are not able to determine what is causing the problems - the mill rep says it is an install problem - the company won't acknowledge that and has only offered to reimburse me for the product cost - which is roughly 20% of the total cost of the floor. The inconvenience warrants a refund of more in our opinion.

I had a couple different places come out and measure and give estimates. The measurements were anywhere between 350-420 sq ft. Quite a variance, and America's Floor Source was on the higher sq footage side. However, their total price was much lower, I only had to pay half down before it was installed, AND the carpet was in stock so they could do it the next day. Also Chris was very professional and easy to work with. I remember Carpet One total price was over $700 and the total had to be paid before ordering the carpet. And it was going to take up to 7 days for the carpet to arrive. The Carpet One price was the same whether the previous padding/carpet was removed or not, so there was no discount for saving them the removal labor. They also told me if I didn't get new padding, the carpet's warranty would be voided. Not sure if this is common practice. But I was removing the padding anyway. America's Floor Source did the job in about 1.5 - 2 hours. They were professional and nice. Everything looked great, but they did cover up a little wooden block on the floor that my closet doors are supposed to screw into. I didn't even notice it until they left. That can be easily cut out, but probably needs glued or stapled around it. So before having something similar done again I would ask about those types of things. I did check the carpet before hand to make sure it was what I ordered. I like getting things done quick. So I'm very happy that they could come out so soon. I would definitely use them again.

The work has turned out great so far and we have no complaints.

Overal good results. Good on price, installation, and quality/selection of materials was excellent. Would use them again without question.

the best experience was meeting Todd Sweeney in the show room and watch him come up with fantastic ideas for our renovation project. Installation went smoothly also. Very happy with outcome.

I needed new carpet and hardwood flooring for a duplex that I had recently purchased as a rental. I had to be conscience of price because it was a rental, but I also wanted it to look good for prospective renters. I contacted America's Floor Source to do the job. From start to finish, America's Floor Source handled the job with skill, speed, and efficiency. Most importantly though, the price was right. They did such a good job, that I decided to use them for a carpet replacement in my own home. I would recommend them to my friends, colleagues, and associates. Well done.

They have a great showroom and are very willing to help you find the right carpeting. After I selected the carpeting the installation was scheduled promptly. I felt the company offered a fair price and allowed me to save a little more money by removing the old carpet myself. I had no problems up to this point. Unfortunately, I had problems with the installation. First, they made no attempt to keep their dirty shoes and tools off of the new white carpeting. This left random black marks on the new carpeting. Secondly, they cut the carpeting too narrow on the stairs. This left a gap between the carpeting and the wall in some spots. I do not like how this looks. Lastly, the crew did a poor job of joining the carpet seems. The seems are very visible. I let the poor cuts and seems go as it certainly did not want to have to go through the process of a re-installation. I had to call the company 3 or 4 times before someone responded to address the black marks. My initial calls went to the original salesman and he failed to return my calls. Once I called the office, the company did send someone out to address the black marks. The service person attempted to spot clean the carpet. This did very little to address the black marks. I ended up cleaning up most of the black marks myself with carpet cleaner. The company did not even attempt to contact me to determine whether my issue had been addressed after they attempted to spot clean the carpet. I most likely would not do business with this company again.

We were very pleased with the overall project. Aaron was on time for the estimate and gave it to us onsite. We contracted to have the carpet installed the next week. The installers spoke little English and installed part of the carpet onto our newly installed laminate flooring. We immediately called Aaron and he came and looked at it. He agreed it had been installed incorrectly and their laminate floor installer came out and replaced the damaged laminate and laid new transition strips.
