Craig was very professional and pleasant. Put on shoe covers as he entered our house. Went to the basement to do the heating tune up and outside to check the air conditioner. Explained what he did and informed me of the condition of our unit. Was a good experience, and I will definitely use them again!

They were wonderful. Two gentlemen came out. They put on booties when they came in. They came back up after doing the check & explained very clearly what they found & what they did. They told us we were ok for now & didn’t need any additional services. They were prompt & responsive. I would definitely use them again if I had a furnace issue.

We obtained estimates from four heating companies, and selected Aire Serv. The installation was set up for Fri 12/14, at 7:30 a.m. On Fri morning they called and said they would be late. They arrived about 9:15 and started removing the old furnace. The installers were courteous and efficient, and finished about 3 in the afternoon. They failed to re-ignite the gas water heater. But when I called, they gave me instructions for lighting it. Overall we are satisfied, the new furnace is working fine, and we hope for some savings in the improved efficiency of the furnace.
Description of Work: When we learned that the heat exchanger in our furnace was rusty and could develop cracks, we cheked and found out a replacement part was not available. We decided to get a new furnace. We obtained four estimates....each was presented by a capable and courteous sales rep. Studying and comparing, we decided to go with Dale Matheny and Aire Serv.

It started with a phone call from Kim reminding us that it was time for the fall tune-up. For one reason or another, I didn't respond to Kim's voice mail for a couple of weeks, so she kindly called again to remind us. This time I made an appointment and was pleased that they had a opening to fit in with ny work schedule. The tech came right away in the appointment window. He completed the work as planned (wearing shoe covers inside the house, always appreciated), changed the filter for us, took care of some precautionary details, and gave me a summary of what he did before he left. Very professional and easy to work with. I later got a follow-up courtesy call from the owner.
Description of Work: This visit was a fulfillment on our service contract with Aire Serv for semi-annual maintainence check-ups on our heat pump and furnace which is why I didn't report a dollar amount spent.

I was unappy with this company. I bought the Angie's List "deal" for a pre-season tune-up and inspection. The gentleman arrived relatively early in the window I was given. I was assured that it would only take about an hour. While the guy was working, I smelled a burn smell throughout the house. He did not come to advise me of anything, so I let him continue. The hour came and went. After about 4 hours, he had to move his van to allow another person I had here leave. I asked what the smell was. This is when he told me that a fuse or wire burned out and I needed a new board. He had to go get one. He left and came back, then a couple hours later told me I needed a new blower. He also said he'd come back to finish at a later time, as I had expressed to him that I had appointments to get to in the evening. He was going to leave my home without finishing the job and without my home having heat. I had to ask him if my home was going to have heat. That he did not even mention that part was unreal. He finally finished up with installing the blower and left around 4:20. The lack of responsiveness, honestly and sense of urgency was appalling. Considering that he arrived at approximately 8:20 in the morning, I do not consider this a stellar job. While things were going on, had he kept me apprised and acted like my time was important too, I would have been less annoyed, as I understand things happen. I would be very cautious using this company for a heating issue.

Overall, very bad experience. Wanted to do the regular maintanance on my furnace, so I hired Aire Serv. Technician arrived and did the cleaning, as well as adjusted the pilot light per my request. He also gave me a checklist that indicated that everything is in good working condition and left. To my surprise, the furnace did not turn back on after he left, so I went and checked it. When I took off the cover, I noticed that cable that connects the flame sensor is being MELTED due to the small FIRE coming out from the pipe leading to the pilot light. Called the company back and asked them to send the technician back immediately. He spend another couple hours trying to diagnose the problem and told me that most likely the pilot light or flame sensor has failed. Why would it fail right after the cleaning is beyond me. Next day another technician from the same company came to look at the problem. He said that I have a gas leak in the valve and this is why my furnace does not start. I am not an HVAC guy, but I do not buy it. Again, my furnace was working and generated heat prior to Aire Serv touching it. Told me that I need to replace the valve. Even if it is leaking, the first technician failed to inform me. On the third day got a call from them saying that I need to replace valve and flame sensor for over $800. Asked to talk to the owner and after a long discussion he told me that they would replace the ignitor/sensor for free and would charge for the valve. At that point I do not trust this company to do any repairs for me, so I asked them to give me the cost of the sensor in cash/check. They refused stating that it would be a bad precedent. I think it is a bad precedent when after cleaning a furnace does not start up. Just as I expect to be able to drive the car off the parking lot after the oil change, I expect to be able to turn the furnace on after the cleaning. To summarize, they left my furnace in a hazardous and not working condition. Do not trust them again to do any repairs for me. I will pay another company to do the repairs.
