$40.00 fee for an estimate for new customers? Apparently content with their current customer base.

They were prompt, quick, on the ball. I felt like the estimate was good. I haven't hired them yet.

The work was very good. We needed the work done quickly to repair the roof, so they moved us up on the schedule by several weeks to accommodate our needs.

He's very knowledgeable & a good guy. I think he's one of the top professionals in his trade. I have used him for around 25 years. I have 3 huge oak trees & I have him out every other year to inspect them.

Two big limbs had fallen from a honey locust. David came and said that the tree just needed trimming,not removing. They came the next day, and removed all the fallen limbs. They will return later and trim the whole tree

Arborist came to assess our trees and make recommendations. We chose what services we wished to purchase and signed contract. A few weeks later he returned with the crew who would do the trimming and he explained to them some of the nuances that are hard to document. The crew did a fabulous job over the next 2 days. We were so concerned that our trees would be raped, but they were very respectful and accomplished the task while keeping the shape and shade of our trees intact. The crew left my yard CLEANER than they found it. They raked by hand every single leaf that hit the ground even under bushes where there were stray leaves from last fall! Our neighbor was home the entire time to watch. He was so impressed by watching that he's already ask for their name. THANK YOU!

They did a really good job. I was impressed with their professionalism. They did a good job with cleaning up.

They did an excellent job and they cleaned up and left the yard like it was before they came out. The guy who came around to do the roots was pretty efficient.

We learned about the treatment from the A&A bulletin which, in itself, contains useful tips. Mr. Ahlum came to give an estimate the day after our call. A few days later, the tree was treated. The person who did the work was very professional and observed that boxwoods in front of the house were infested with leaf miners. The same systemic is useful against them so, after asking, treated them as well. I expected to pay for the additional treatment but they held to the original estimate. I was pleasantly surprised.

We have Ahulm service our trees yearly. They do a great job, the trees are healthier. The service technician, Skip, is great.

Each morning, the crew arrived as expected. The equipment was in good order and ready to go, work and priorities were reconfirmed, and the guys went to work immediately. I was impressed with the attention to detail, focus, productivity and safety consciousness of each person on the crew as well as the team as a whole. They treated everything with respect. It was hard not to watch as the crew work at a mastery level, the quality and quantity of work performed, use and condition of equipment, how they handled it when a limb fell on one of the fence boards, their high regard for safety and each other, the ability to work as a team and a certain satisfaction and pride they took in the work itself and a job well!

The crew was professional and did a fantastic job. My kids were mesmerized all day watching them climb trees and cut them down! They were knowledgeable, made great suggestions, asked for our opinions and input and overall did a really great job. The office staff was very easy to work with as well.

I made an appointment to meet with the arborist, Mr. Ahlum. This is required for first time customers w/an extra $40 charge. He arrived on time. I told him my concerns, he gave me his advice & quoted an estimate. He was helpful, courteous, & professional. He warned me they were a couple of months behind & to expect them in November. In November, they did exactly what they said they would do. I have these garden ornaments that I always forget to pick up when workers come out. No matter what, they are always destroyed. This is the first company ever to do their job without damaging even one of them. They took away all debris when they left. Entire job done in one day. I can't think of a single thing to complain about. A rave review from me.

Bill came to our residence and walked the property recommending how to improve several areas of our yard. We wanted to have a large tree removed due to evidence of decay and infestation. He encouraged us to have the tree first tested to see if the removal was necessary. Unfortunately, we couldn't afford the extra cost and decided to go with another company.

They gave me an estimate on a Saturday. They removed the tree with out me having to be there. They did a great job of removing the tree.

This company was recommended by a reputable garden center. Initial consultation was $40 (not included in project cost above). Mr. Alhum seems very knowledgeable - did not try to push other services on me (I've been treating another tree problem myself, and he recommended that I continue to do so). Scheduled maple tree service a couple of months in advance due to more favorable timing of treatment. On the service day, the technician set up the equipment, and returned a few hours later (I was not home when he returned for the equipment). When I returned later, there was a sizable stain on our new driveway, but no acknowledgment in the paperwork that he left. After I scrubbed the stain, I notified the company. The next day, the company acknowledged the accident (the technician spilled the manganese solution), and sent a concrete cleaning company to removed the remainder of the spill. There is still a slight discoloration, but Alhum discounted the total cost by $30.

Now that I have paid my "first time client fee", I suppose that I am now entitled to as many estimates as I want without additional charge! Would hire in future if the price was right.

I was informed that the arborists make their own appointments and that they were running 1-2 weeks out (okay, that sounds fine). I was then told that an arborist would call me the day before he expected to be in my area. After confirming that I'd get a one-day notice of when it was convenient for THEM, I declined.

I called Dave Ahlum and his wife (I think) set up the appointment. I simply described what I wanted. Dave went to the site and we agreed I wanted the tree pruned to give my house (35" tall) 10 feet of clearance from the tree. He did the work and I paid by credit card. The job was done exactly as he described and all debris was removed from the site.

The trimmer had to go up at least 70 feet into the tree to get the first branch. They very careful and very skilled, they definitely know what they are doing. Hes not the cheapest, but it makes sense considering the quality of the work.

Mr. Ahlum was very pleasant on the telephone; very accommodating. He came at the time he said that he would; was very professional, polite, and pleasant. He fully explained his diagnosis and treatment plan to me. His first time fee was well worth the money and I will certainly use his services again. He instilled confidence and made me a very happy ''camper''.

He specializes in large trees. He does a really good job and I have used them for the last 20 yrs.

We've always been satisfied. They're very good and very responsive.
