They did an excellent job. The cost was reasonable. They were professional and prompt. They put my lights 10 days before thanks giving and came back 12 days after new year and put them down.

I met with Eric Finley and was advised on the health of the tree, as well as the damage, what to keep an eye on, and possible ways to help the tree. I've hired them before for help and advice on trees. At first, I thought the $50 initial service fee seemed out of line to get an estimate for tree work, but after meeting with one of their certified arborist, I thought $50 was a really good deal. They could easily charge over $100. The last time I had a repairman simply "look" at my dryer, there was a $75 service fee. These folks don't push for any unnecessary work. They were able to name all of the trees on my property (well over 100 trees) and answered all of my questions. $50 for time and advice from a certified arborist is well worth it.

Ahlum & Arbor is one of the most knowledgable companies in the area. They have always given us great advice and take care of any issues that we have had. A landscape company cut 50% of the roots of two of our Hemlock trees and ran heavy equipment over the roots of numerous trees, compacting the soil. Shearer Landscaping failed to cover the work area with plywood and they left their equipment parked in the area. Received an estimate.

We awakened on May 31, 2018 with a massive limb from and aged maple tree on the lawn. Luckily it had not hit any part of the house. We called Cris Ahlum and his crew showed up within the hour. In four hours they had the limb cut up and all removed and the trunk from which it had fallen fixed and protected.

All employees were great. Forgot to remove one stump but came back within the week to remove. Only wish they ground a few more roots to one of the trees they took out.

They did a great job. They paid special attention to detail and cut them plants back in a way where they would grow back from the inside-out. They were very thorough and meticulous in their work and were wonderful.

Asked for an estimate to remove a dead tree. They want $75 just to have someone come out for the estimate. They call it a "first-time client fee." Penny-wise, pound-foolish policy on their part. They lost the opportunity for this and any future jobs on my property, and I have a large lot with lots of mature trees. Their defense in response to others here with the same complaint is that the fee is noted on their Angie's List profile, but I looked carefully and don't see that noted. Nor is it noted on their web site.

They trimmed branches on about 5 trees that were either extending over the roof or way over neighbors yard. Was happy with results. Cleaned up very well. Three people came to cut/clean-up

Their very fair. They are locally owned and do exactly what they say they'll do.

The community has used them every year for a long time. I used them for diagnostics services for what bugs were eating my trees. He told me it was poor planting in the beginning, he told me the roots were dying and he couldn't do anything for that.

They never tell us when they are going to show up. You have to call now 2.5 months in advance to have them come out to trim your trees. We have had some storms and they have a lot of storm damage to clean up. If you are going to come spray my hard you need to let me know, so I am not out planting or working in the garden. The quality is good. I don't think the responsiveness is great. They show up whenever they want to show up. We keep going back because we've used them over 30 years. They could let us know when they are going to show up, improve communication. The workers are great and very professional. They clean up and everything is perfect. Spraying only takes half an hour.

We have had terrible storms the last couple of days and we had a huge piece of a green tree come down in our driveway and block the garage. Fortunately, I was out when it happened, so we had a car. But, these people were amazing, coming out the next day after I called them. I just thought that was really responsive because there were a lot of people that had roofs that had caved in and streets that were blocked and they got to us as soon as they could. They did an amazing job getting all of that stuff out of the driveway they were really efficient and polite. Then, they cleaned up all the little debris little sticks and everything they were fantastic! I would use them again in a heartbeat. They've done work for us before, but it was never any kind of emergency situation. They've always been really excellent. They're certified arborist, they aren't just a tree service.

They already sent us our invoice that it has been two years. The fact that they sent me something to see if we wanted it again was good because I forgot. [11:34 to 11:44]

Always well - but cost is the issue. They are just too expensive for us now.

If your trees are in need of trimming, pruning, fertilizing or just have an undiagnosed malady, even if you are unsure of your need, this is the company to contact. Not only are the owners expert arborists but so are most of their staff. I recently requested an estimate for removal of deadwood in 3 large trees. The next day an employee came and evaluated my needs and suggested some others. Although pruning and trimming is usually a late Fall/Winter task, I asked that my work be done while trees were still in leaf making identification of deadwood so much easier. To make a long story short, the requested work was completed today. To say I am satisfied with the work performed, the professionalism of the crew and the immaculate way they left my property would be an understatement. I cannot emphasize enough that if you ever have a need for tree work, contact the professionals at Ahlum & Arbors. You will not be disappointed.

We met with Ahlum & Arbor Arborists twice over the years, and have been very satisfied with them. They are very knowledgeable about a variety of trees and give good recommendations for regular care and maintenance. They have also offered suggestions for other trees for us to plant in our yard. I feel that they are committed to the health of our trees and not selling additional services.

They are very good trained arborists. They are very expensive, but they do very good work. They are great in an emergency and will work to schedule you as quickly as they can for all general work.

I was extremely pleased with their services on both occasions and have told several friends that they are reliable, personable, thorough, and professional. These qualities have been demonstrated by Dave and Chris Ahlum as well as each employee that has participated in providing these services. I dealt with another company that was not responsive. Ahlum on the other hand responded right away and was very professional. Their prices are usually a little higher than competitors, but their quality is well worth it! I have scheduled them to come out this week for more work.

They were good. They told me when they will be here and they got here on that time. They basically call before they arrive.

All in 6 hours and not a scrap of wood left behind!

They were pretty good. They seem pretty thorough. Their employees are real tree people and not just employees. They're expensive.
