They did a very nice job. They came out and gave us an estimate. He explained things very well and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Overall, it was a very good experience.

It was a good experience. They cleaned up after themselves. They brought a chipper and disposed of everything. I would use them again.

They have been excellent. They responded, came out told me what it was, and they gave me an estimate. On the maple trees, it is too soon to tell, but the iron injections have made the oak trees much better. They might be a little bit high priced, but they came recommended by a landscape designer and they are excellent and know their business. They are a little high priced, but I trust their judgment. I would use them again in the future.

They worked carefully and cleaned up well. Their work has improved the health of my trees.

When I had called to ask for an estimate, they told me that they were scheduling way in advance. Since the limb was dangerous I needed it removed and they would send three men out at $85 an hour plus traveling. When we got the bill, they charged us excessive mileage. We were unhappy with that and felt it was unfair to charge. So after receiving the bill we sent what we felt was appropriate mileage and they never disputed it. They were also not very responsive about getting people out for an estimate.

They were very good in terms of doing the work. Getting them out here to do the work took a while. They were supposed to come at one time, didn't show up, didn't call. It was right around the time of the big wind storm.

Decided not to use this company, estimate fee was a negative.

I will more than likely have the service done, they are not the least expensive; but, they are true professionals and I trust them completely with my trees. I have complete confidence and trust in any recommendation that Dave gives to me. They have cared for my trees for 25 years.

Extremely professional service. Dave Ahlum diagnosed and estimated what was needed. His crew performed the work approximately 6 weeks later. They were punctual and very neat, careful not to damage anything. Cost is somewhat high and you will wait quite some time for the service, but they do excellent work and will do everything to preserve your trees.

I would advise prospective clients to be highly suspicious of a very deceptive practice this company employs. They will tell you they have a "one time" or "first time" fee of forty dollars to advise you on the work to be done but if you do not need work at that time then you must pay the "one time" or "first time" fee again if you call them out again. I know for certain that Mr. Fitch, the arborist who visited me a year ago, said I would not have to pay that fee again if I needed their services in the future. That is deceitful and extremely poor business practice. The woman I spoke with, Lana, was very rude as well.

One of our large maples showed signs of illness. He recommended that it come down now due to safety reasons and gave us a life-expectancy on the others in the yard. I appreciated his advice and trusted it, given that he's a certified arborist. His estimate for removing the tree, however, was more than twice the estimate I received from another company, so we ended up hiring the other company to remove the tree. However, I felt that the $40 for the consultation was worth it for the expert advice.

Everything they have done for the trees is great. Service is excellent. Pricing is competitive.

They called and said they were gonna be here. When I came home from work, I couldn't even tell they were here except for the missing tree. The owner is the one who came out to do the estimate.

I called their number and the phone was answered immediately. The person that answered was very friendly. She asked if I had used their service before. I had not. She informed me that there would be a $40 charge to provide an estimate. I am not willing to pay for an estimate as I feel that is part of doing business. It appears from the other reports that the company is very reputable and does a good job. I am only posting this report to let people know up front about the $40 charge. The Angie's list web site says "ask for details" in the Free Estimate field. You do not need to pay the $40 after the first time you use their service.

They returned my initial call promptly and showed up as promised. They were very informative, explaining problems with my trees and ways to correct them. I was very pleased with the estimate and will be using them for my tree service.

I was very pleased with our initial visit with the arborist, who we found very knowledgeable and helpful in understanding not only the steps that the company would do, but how we could help keep our trees better. I wish we had contacted the company months before we did. The tree was fed in the late fall and pruned in the early months of the year, and so far the treatment seems to be working. Unfortunately due to our delay in treating the tree it had to be pruned more significantly than would otherwise have been necessary.

I'VE USED AHLUM & ARBOR IN THE PAST AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO IN THE FUTURE. COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL STAFF. WORK WAS COMPLETED TO MY SATISFACTION.

A very nice, professional job. Mr Ahlum came out and did the estimate in early fall, and scheduled for January. He wrote exactly what was to be done. One branch comes over from a neighbor's yard, so they asked me to get written permission for them to make an appropriate cut on the neighbor's tree (in the neighbor's yard). The neighbors gave permission, the guys came out when they were supposed to and I didn't feel a need to supervise everything. It was all done in a few hours, by a team of hardworking, congenial workers who seemed to know exactly what to do.

They were great; climbing all over my forest canopy. They reduced weight in trees hanging over my house. They gave me updates on how it was going. It took them 2 days, 10 men, 4 trucks. They cleaned up well and did everything that I requested. It really brightened up the area around my house.
