Description of Work: It went Allright it just took a long time they part he thought it was . It wasn't so had to order another part and wait another 2 weeks to get it . When it finally got here he came over and put it in. And it worked.

Description of Work: The rubber 'boot' that works with the washer door to keep water in was damaged. Hometown Appliance was able to get out on the same day and quickly take care of the issue!

Description of Work: Service man Joe arrived, promptly. Diagnosed and repaired in less than 30 minutes. Showed me some self help items for my Maytag frig/freezer. Good work, fair price.

Description of Work: Water was not entering my dishwasher and having had good experiences with this provider, I contacted him for an assessment of the problem. Since he had an injury and could not work at the time, he sent someone else to do the work. Unfortunately, the new repair person was unfamiliar with this brand of dishwasher and after a lengthy time, it became clear he could not assess the problem. To Hometown's credit, they did not dispute my request to waive the charge for the service call.

Description of Work: I didn't actually use the service. We had called another repairman prior to contacting Hometown and cancelled the appt. with Hometown. But, Hometown was quick to schedule us and very professional and cordial on phone even when we explained why we had to cancel, he was appreciative and thanked us. I even got a recommendation for Hometown from the company we did end up going with. I am writing this review to say that I would not hesitate to call them in the future by the way we were treated even in cancelling.

Description of Work: The heating element in my dryer was broken and I gave them a call. They were out in a couple of days, fixed the dryer in 15 minutes and were pretty inexpensive. I am very happy with their service and will use them in the future.

Description of Work: We used A Hometown Appliance Service. I looked it up at Angie's list. Our refrigerator was warm so I called them to fix it.

Description of Work: My clothes dryer did not turn on. It was a Friday so I was concerned about not being able to get help over the weekend. Actually, one place did not answer the phone and was probably closed for the weekend. Hometown Appliance seemed to have had people ahead of me, but because the person was nearby, he came right away. It turned out to be an electrical problem, so I had to call an electrician. However, the man who came was able to check out the dryer to make sure the problem did not originate with it. I was charged just the visit charge, which seemed fair enough.

Description of Work: My front load washer started smoking and smelling like rubber burning. I called the Thursday before Christmas and Joe came out on Friday morning, ordered a part and scheduled a follow up time with me. He came the day he said, replaced the part and it is running again. Very happy experience!

Description of Work: Our washer stopped agitating or spinning, although it pumped out water. As soon as Joe tried it, he knew the problem was a broken coupler. After half an hour, the machine was running again! What a gem! Our old independent service man retired. He was prompt, courteous, and honest. Joe is just like that. Fair price for prompt and honest service.

Description of Work: Our refridgerator was not cooling, but the freezer was working. The same thing happened last July and we had it repaired by the Maytag's service representative of which we later read through Angies list and other web sites that that company had horrible reviews. So we decided to try A Hometown Appliance Service through Angies List. We were very pleased with the service. They came the same day that I had called them. The problem was the connectors that the prior repair company used had come undone, causing the same problem. Hometown re-connected the wires using a more stable technique. I also had some questions regarding my dishwasher, and he looked at it and gave me his opinion. He did not charge me for this.

Description of Work: My old refrigerator was leaking & he cleaned liner & gave me some suggestions to keep it going.
