The repair folks were very knowledgeable, courteous and thorough. They stayed late to finish the work which I really appreciated. They explained everything that they did.

The service man was on time. He got right to work on the problem. He was here for about two and a half hours, and I might add, he earned his money in a nice way. I would hire this company again.

We were very pleased with the service we received from A Hometown Appliance Service. The repairman recommended against spending the money (over $230.00) to repair our washer because it was 20 years old and would just have more things break in the near future. He told us which brand of washer was good as far as not needing repairs and which ones to stay away from. I checked with Consumer Reports and found they agreed completely with what he had said. We would certainly recommend this company for appliance repairs.

Joe was able to come out within 24 hours of our call. He and his apprentice were prompt, calling as they were on their way, and were very polite. Both repairmen offered to leave their shoes at the door as well as cleaning up after themselves. Joe communicated with us throughout the process, explaining what he was finding and educating us. He had to return the following day to drill the hole outside as it was dark and we had an equally good experience the next day with Joe being prompt and calling as he was coming to our house. He as very pleasant and helpful. We have used him before and will use him again--would easily recommend him.

Arrived when he said he would, and explained to me the work required to fix the washer. Fixed washer and cleaned up work area. Was very courteous.

I called them the Monday after Christmas regarding an oven that was not heating efficiently. They offered to come out on Tuesday. I scheduled for Wednesday. Joe was on time, courteous, knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the problem with the oven. He fully described the problem for us and the work that would need to be done. He ordered the oven part by phone and scheduled the repair for the following afternoon. We also asked him to look at the ice maker and he quickly diagnosed the problem as a clogged valve. Joe returned the next day and quickly made repairs to both appliances. He explained the warranties and we received the Angie's List Coupon 10% discount on parts. We will certainly call this company again for appliance repairs.

REFRIGERATOR WAS FIXED WITHOUT A PROBLEM, BUT THE DRYER DID NOT WORK AFTER THEIR FIRST VISIT-- MAY NOT HAVE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM PROPERLY AND HAD TO RETURN MULTIPLE TIMES. GAVE ME A PARTIAL REFUND BECAUSE OF THIS.

The technician called me prior to his visit, trouble-shot the problem over the phone, and then ordered the part ahead of time saving me from taking off twice from work. He arrived promptly the next day, and repaired the problem quickly, for a reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend the services of A Hometown Appliance Repair.

Responded the next day when my regular serviceman wasn't able to come for 5 days. My electric stovetop kept blowing a circuit and we were expecting out of state company for Christmas. They determined the problem was a bad circuit breaker, which they are not authorized to fix, but they did pinpoint the problem and only charged the service fee. I would have them again if I need a service call.

This company was quick, on time, and cheaper than the store would have charged for delivery and installation. The installation team was polite and considerate in clean up. A good experience. Thanks!

He was on time, polite, and VERY reasonably priced (five years ago it cost us MUCH MORE for the same thing). Since we pretty much knew what we needed, and had the model/etc he brought the part with him to the first appt..no need for a second appt. Would call them again for ANY large appliance repair.

PRETTY GOOD...HAD TO USE A LOT OF CREATIVITY TO RESOLVE DRYER VENT ISSUES BUT STUCK WITH IT. REP VERY POLITE...JUST WISH THEY'D CLEAN UP A BIT MORE BUT NOT A SERIOUS ISSUE.

VERY PROMPT, HONEST, AND THOROUGH. SERVICEMAN NEEDS TO BRING HIS OWN TOOLS, DO HIS OWN CLEANUP. NOT A BIG DEAL IN MY MIND, I'M ALWAYS GLAD TO HELP. AND I DOUBT IF ''NO CLEAN UP'' IS THE COMPANY'S POLICY.

JOE DELIVERED EXCELLENT SERVICE IN EVERY ASPECT. HE WAS PUNCTUAL, COURTEOUS, AND INFORMATIVE. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WHEN HE OFFERED TO RETURN THE FOLLOWING MORNING BEFORE I HAD TO LEAVE FOR WORK TO INSTALL THE PART NEEDED. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR GOOD, OLD FASHIONED SERVICE.

COMPANY WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY IN SETTING UP THE APPT. THEY WERE EFFICIENT AND HELPFUL. I DECIDED NOT TO HAVE THE REPAIR TO THE TRANSMISSION, SO THEY SUGGESTED PLACES TO GET A USED WASHER AND BRANDS TO BUY FOR A NEW WASHER. I TRUSTED THEIR OPINION BECAUSE THEY WERE RESPECTFUL OF MY TIME.

CAME OUT QUICKLY, AND MADE NECESSARY REPAIRS WITHOUT A LOT OF FUSS. ALSO MADE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS ON A COUPLE OF OTHER ITEMS THAT I COULD TAKE CARE OF MYSELF.

THEY WERE REALLY PROMPT AND I HAD CALLED SOME OTHER ANGIE'S LIST COMPANIES AND THEY WANTED $60 TO JUST DIAGNOSIS THE PROBLEM AND IT WOULD NOT GO TOWARD THEY BILL. THIS COMPANY CREDITED THE DIAGNOSIS TOWARD THE BILL.

ADAM TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH THE DRAIN, ALTHOUGH HE COULD NOT TELL ME WHY IT WAS HAPPENING.

THE YOUNG MAN WAS COURTEOUS. HE STAYED A LONG TIME BECAUSE WE WATCHED THE DISHWASHER RUN THROUGH A COMPLETE CYCLE EXCEPT FOR THE TOTAL DRYING TIME. I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK ABOUT THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL BUT AM HAPPY THAT I PLAYED AROUND WITH THE RESET BUTTON SOME MORE AND GOT IT TO WORK. IT IS AN OLD UNIT SO I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SURPRISED IF IT NEEDED REPLACED.

I CALLED ON A FRIDAY MORNING AND THOUGH THEY WERE FULLY SCHEDULED, THEY MANAGED TO WORK US IN THAT DAY. THE TECH WAS PERSONABLE AND QUICK TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. FURTHER, HE TOOK TIME TO LOOK AT AND DISCUSS THE PERIPHERAL ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH ADDING A WATER LINE AND/OR RELOCATING THE REFRIGERATOR. WHILE WE DIDN'T HAVE ''WORK DONE'' PER SE, WE GOT OUR MONEY'S WORTH IN INFORMATION TO HELP US MAKE A GOOD DECISION WITH THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT.

THE REPRESENTATIVE FOUND THE PROBLEM RIGHT AWAY, AND PERFORMED A SIMPLE FIX, AND ONLY CHARGED FOR A SERVICE CALL.

HE WAS SO INFORMED ABOUT WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE TOLD US WHAT IT WOULD COST TO REPAIR IT AND HOW LONG THE REPAIR WOULD LAST. WE ASKED FOR HIS SUGGESTION AND WE FOLLOWED UP WITH IT. HE WAS NEAT TO BE AROUND. A VERY NICE GUY. WE WERE GRATEFUL FOR HIS TIME, HELP AND GLADLY PAID THE $35 DIAGNOSIS FEE.

EXCELLENT, DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND PROVIDED SOUND ADVICE (I NEED TO BUY A NEW WASHER).
