A Hometown Appliance Service

I called the company on a Saturday and they responded to my phone call the following Monday morning. The repairman came out promptly and quickly found the problem. They did not have that particular power cord in stock so they ordered one. It came in 2 days later and the repairman came out again the very next day and completed the repair. The repairman was friendly and knowledgeable, and I was impressed overall with the response and attention they gave to my problem. A definite keeper.

The technician came out when they said they would, they were timely, the technician was very nice, they completed the job in good time. There was one small problem with the length of the vent hose from the dryer, it was too short and I had to call them back out to correct the problem. They came right back out and fixed the problem. I would definitely use these folks again.

The technician was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He took his time to explain things and also changed the pipe behind our dryer to an aluminum one as the plastic one we had on is a fire hazard.

I needed my washer repaired ASAP and Joe came out within an hour of my phone call. He was honest about fixing the washer. He recommended that I not fix it and that the problems it was having may just lead to more problems. He also told me that I would be better off buying a new washer. He could have taken my money to fix it, but instead he suggested I buy a new washer. I appreciated his honesty.

They did a great job for us. They came out right on time and got the job done well.

Joe was able to come out within a few hours of when I placed the call. He diagnosed the problem, checked to see if the part was in stock locally, and said he'd call when he was on his way back with the part. He did, and my refrigerator was fixed within another hour. Joe was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and I really appreciated how quickly he was able to get the work completed.

As usual he was prompt, polite and completed the job efficiently. I have used him on multiple occasions, and he does a great job.

This company was recommended by another firm as being one of the few who work on older machines. Joe and John came together, seemed to know exactly what was involved and how to fix it. They checked the machine over thoroughly and said everything was in great shape except the broken belt. They spent a couple of hours making the repair and testing the machine, and now it works fine. Although they had quoted $85, I thought the final charge of $105 was more than fair considering the difficulty of the job and the time it took.

No show, no phone call. That stinks.

He was fast, concise, and so friendly. The price was less than what we expected, and his professionalism is unmatched. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing large appliance work.

This is the second time Hometown Appliance has serviced our washer. (Last time was 3 years ago.) Both experiences were fantastic. This time they were able to send the service technician to our house within a few hours. He immediately diagnosed the problem, gave us the estimate, and then did the repair on our approval. Very polite and efficient. The part is under warranty for 30 days. We will not hesitate to use Hometown Appliance Service again!

This is the second time I used them and they did the same thing; diagnosis was wrong. Replaced a part and the appliance still did not work.

Came over one day to check the washer and had to order the part needed to fix the washer. Called me the next day to let me know the part would not be in until Monday. Showed up when promised to fix the washer and explained everything to me.

On time, at the correct cost. Mr. Sheneman is professional, always tells you the truth about the appliance and the repair and costs.

They came out the same day and ordered parts. Even with the snow storm in our area they came out and fixed the machine. They are very friendly and efficient on the phone and in person.

I called in the morning and was told they would try to send someone out that day. I asked that they give me a half hour notice so I could get home from work. I got a call about an hour latter that the repairman would be there in a half hour. The repairman showed up on time, was very friendly and professional, and completed the work promptly. The service was excellent and all of my food lived. I highly recommend them.

Joe came out to see what the problem was and give me an estimate on Monday, January 8th, the same day that I called for help. He had to order the part for my Maytag dishwasher because, as he explained, Maytag's don't break often so they don't carry extra parts. There was a $35 fee to come out, but that would be waived if he did the repair. I asked him to do the repair. The wrong part arrived on Tuesday. The correct part came in on Wednesday, and he called to schedule a time to meet. I couldn't take time off work to meet Joe at my house, so he was great to work with me to find a time that would. He came out on Thursday afternoon and changed the seal. He also repositioned a hose to the dishwasher to stop sink water from backing up in the dishwasher. The total cost was $110 - $35 parts and $75 labor minus a $5 discount for being an Angie's List member. Joe was courteous and a pleasure to work with.

WOW! What a great job they did. From the receptionist to the repairman! Excellent, friendly, courteous and professional all the way! Called Monday AM, left message, they called back as soon as they opened, and she said she could have a fellow out to repair it that morning, which ended up only being an HOUR later! WOW! What service! He was nice, knowledgeable, fast and friendly. He diagnosed it with a bad fan motor, and he repaired the broken/cracked copper water line leading to the ice maker. Because he didn't have the fan motor on the van, he had to come back, and temporarily fixed the motor so my food wouldn't spoil. He also cared enough to tell me to throw away certain types of food that may have already spoiled. He came back promptly and the item was fixed! Service fee was 35$, not 60-75$ that the other companies charged! And that $35 went towards the repair. BEST APPLIANCE REPAIR EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD! Thanks! I'll be back!

This is the 2nd time I have used Joe at Hometown Appliance. He's a good guy, and I trust him. They do good work, quickly and at a fair price.

Hometown came out quickly, explained the problem and the remedy, and fixed it at a reasonable price.

Came out and diagnosed the problem, and replaced a couple parts. The dryer worked for a week or so, then quit working again. They replaced a different part at no cost, and it worked fine.

The company scheduled the service call for the day after I called them. The company called me when Joe was about 10 minutes away so I could meet him at the property. Joe was very friendly and straight forward. Unfortunately, they could not locate a replacement thermostat for the gas oven since it was so old. Joe told me he was not allowed to take a thermostat off of an old used oven that we had on the premises. He gave me some suggestions for where to go for a new oven and connector.

It was a good experience. I already had the new part but never installed it. The tech installed it and said that should fix problem. The machine has worked fine since then.

Despite some setbacks (the replacement pump came out broken from the package), the process was smooth and satisfying. Nobody likes having to pay that much for a repair, but it was mostly the part that cost. The company's service costs were very reasonable.

Repairman was punctual and pleasant. He fixed the problem quickly and gave me tips on maintenance to prevent future repairs. Also, their office called to let me know when repair person was on the way to my home. I was very pleased with the service.
