Jim was punctual, professional and generous in providing guidance about what I can do to remediate the damage to my barn. He wrote a detailed report about the condition of the barn foundation and first floor construction that included steps I should take to fix the problems. He emailed the report the same day as the inspection. He even inspected my house foundation (which wasn't part of my original request) and included the results of that inspection in his report, as well. He also emailed a checklist schedule of tasks I should perform as a homeowner to keep my home and barn foundations healthy. Jim charged me a modest fee for his highly professional and skilled assessment. Thank you, Jim!

James didn't know, at the time, he was giving us a second opinion. He only knew that we had water intrusion at the base of the front basement wall (West wall). There was a heavy rain storm in May that lasted 5 hours. He looked over the entire basement, took pictures, used a camera to check for moisture in the walls and measured to see if a wall had bowed. He also looked around outside the house. His verbal responses matched his written report with pictures. There were no major issues, at this time. However, there is an area of concern that needs to be watched for changes. There were other recommendations we need to look into with contractors. At the end of James inspection, we told him that he was a second opinion. We recently called James with questions and he was very helpful and professional.

It went very well. Mr. Wright was on time and professional. He started by inspecting the exterior, a/c, gutters/downspouts, climbed up to the roof, and inspected the exterior/interior of the garage. He proceeded to the basement to inspect the furnace, a/c, hot water tank, electrical, moisture, and attic. He inspected all thoroughly and completed which is obvious in his extraordinary attention to detail. The report was sent by email the very next morning. Because of the time sensitive nature of home inspections; this is appreciated and demonstrates his professionalism. The report was complete and contained relevant information to ensure as much is learned about the property as possible. I would hire him again.

Jim has many reports on Angies List, and many are good. I chose him because of those reviews and wasn't disappointed.

We were extremely pleased with how thorough and professional James was. He inspected a home we put an offer on, and came up with a 50 page report within 24 hours. He has a very keen eye for detail, and knows his business when it comes to house structures and utilities.

I have 2 walls blocking off my kitchen, and I was thinking of removing them. My contractor said I would need a structural engineer to calculate the reinforcement needed since one of the walls was load bearing. Jim was pleasant on the phone and was available within a few days. He called the day of to let me know he would be a couple minutes late. When he showed up, he let me explain what I was looking to do before jumping into anything. He then took his time checking the support in the basement and the upper floor and taking several measurements. When he was done, he walked through all the details with me, allowing me to ask questions as we went. He then took several pictures, and informed me that he would email me a detailed write-up with his specific recommendations. The write-up arrived the next day, and it was more than I had assumed I would get. Everything was very well detailed and very easy to understand, and Jim told me that if I had any more questions or something wasn't clear to just let him know. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Jim obviously knows what he's doing, gave me everything he said he would, and best of all, listened without making me feel like an idiot, which happens way too often when you have to call an expert for anything. Highest recommendation.

If I could give Mr. Wright triple A's in all categories, I would. He is professional, arrived on time and got to work the moment he stepped foot into my home. For the work done, the cost of his service was very, very reasonable. He provided a finely detailed inspection report, follow up recommendations, and a report for maintaining our home. It went very well. It was excellent. I would recommend them. The inspector was very good. He was reliable and very professional. He really knows what he is doing; he is a structural engineer by the way. He was prompt. He was here on time, when he said he was going to be here and did a thorough inspection. He knew what he was talking about and he was confident. I would contact him again if I need him. His price was fair because I had three other estimates. He gave good quality and reliable information.

We actually used Mr. Wright's services twice in two months. In the first instance, he alerted us to ancient electrical service, long-standing termite problems and the need for a new roof with probable extensive deck and rafter replacement secondary to termite damage. I reviewed the information with a carpenter nephew, who verified and expanded the roofing and rafter needs. It developed that the seller's realtor had failed to obtain adequate information in the Seller's Disclosure; we therefore did not purchase the property. In the second instance, he alerted us to a hazardous circuit breaker panel which needed immediate replacement and several other more minor electrical faults as well as a water-seepage problem in the concreted crawl space. His documentation of the faults was impeccable; our realtor was therefore able to use the report to negotiate a lower selling price and more concessions from the seller. Mr. Wright furnished his report by e-mail, profusely illustrated with actual photographs of the defects and containing links to such web sites as authoritatively discussed them, and did so by the evening of the next day - there was no waiting about with a din coming from overeager realtors hot to complete a sale. His first report was over forty pages long, and his second over thirty. Our realtor was sufficiently impressed that he told us he intended to use Mr. Wright's services himself in his business.

Unlike lots of Cleveland area contractors, this one called back promptly and made an appointment in a reasonable time.He was here on the scheduled time, did his inspection and forwarded a report on the date he promised. The report was very useful and thorough. I would recommend this vendor wholeheartedly to anyone as reliable, serious and committed to quality.

Jim did an excellent job! He was punctual, very professional, listened carefully to our thoughts and concerns, and took photos inside and out. He took his time allowing us to discuss his evaluation in detail. Jim provided his suggestions in case we could not afford to redo the whole wall, then sent a detailed report as to his evaluation. He told us we could call if we thought of any further questions. I would highly recommend Jim and feel his evaluation was worth every penny!!!

He did a wonderful job and came out promptly. He gave a good quote and gave me recommendations. He was very prompt, made the appointment, and he took enough time; he was there almost an hour and went over everything that needed to be done with his recommendation. He said he would write up a report and said he would send it to me, which he did. That was also very prompt; I used that as the basis basically for the request of the quotes that I sent out. He was very professional and did an excellent job. The price was reasonable and worth every penny. I would use him again.

We are in the process of selling our home and decided to have our own inspection conducted before any offers were submitted. This company had good reviews and high ratings and we called for an appointment. Within a week the inspection was scheduled and took approximately three hours to complete. The inspector was punctual, professional and very thorough. The report that was provided included pictures with the exterior and interior descriptions, detailed explanations, recommendations and a general summary. This company was excellent and would highly recommend to perform an inspection!

We originally contacted Jim due to settling and cracking issues with our house. He came and did an extensive examination of the house both in the known areas of concern and throughout the structure in general. He was able to give us a concise set of things to keep and eye on and let us know what were are were not real problems. Jim also provided us with a very thorough report shortly thereafter. Jim was prompt, thorough, and clearly explained the work needed on our prospective purchase. Wonderful! I called Jim directly to discuss my inspection needs and he was able to give me a quote on the phone and a meeting the day I returned from my vacation. Since the home is a 'fixer upper' with many obvious problems, I didn't require a full home inspection but only a stuctural/foundation inspection due to sloping floors of an addition. He arrived to the property early with all his equipment and had already looked around the exterior at the foundation. He was thorough and detailed and took the time to point out all of the problems he saw (including the reason for the sloping floors), recommended next steps/actions to correct the problem, and indicated how severe and urgent the problems were. He gave recommendations on walls I was interested in removing or doors I wanted to widen. He even pointed out a few additional items that he noticed that were not in the scope of the inspection (such as some flooring tile on the 2nd floor that might have asbestos). He spent plenty of time and asked several times if we had additional questions and was patient and seemed very genuine and honest. As promised, he sent a detailed report via email the following day with lots of notes, details, and photographs. He also offered to clarify anything or provide additional information. We sent a quick note asking a few more things, and I expect that he will be prompt to reply.

James Wright was prompt, professional and did an extremely thorough review of a house I was considering buying. I received a full written report the same day which included pictures of possible problem spots along with a maintenance schedule for the upkeep of a house. It was a great help in making a decision. He spent approximately 2 1/2 hours thoroughly going over the house from roof to basement and the detached garage. He gave me updates as he progressed from level to level. At the end, he gave me verbal summation of the immediate items that needed addressing. His full report came by email the next day by 5pm, complete with color pictures and a thorough blow by blow description of everything that could be done to the home, from minor changes to major issues. I feel very confident that once I have made the recommended repairs, my home will sell without any problems from a buyer's own home inspection.

James Wright arrived on time and as expected he was very professional and personable during his audit of the cracks in our foundation and walls. After a thorough inspection of our home he gave his opinion as to what was the cause of these cracks and offered a couple of solutions to correct the problem. James and his assistant arrived early and had the roof and outside of house done before we got there. They were very thorough and explained issues, solutions and routine maintenance.
