The work was excellent. I accompanied the inspector for the entire inspection, three hours for a house of approximately 1400 square feet in size. The inspection was as contracted. Detailed inspection was extensive. All options for any corrections of deficiencies were clearly explained. The inspection was thorough. The positive and negative aspects of the house's condition were identified and explained. The result was a 14 page report within 24 hours that was specific in what needed to be completed before any steps toward sale could be taken. The inspector was professionally trained and experienced as a structural engineer and the resulting commentary on the condition of the house reflected his expertise. The inspection started on time and took the period of time estimated.

We are very pleased with the inspection and written report by Mr. Wright. The inspection was very thorough with lots of helpful information disseminated along the way. Several issues were found during the inspection, one of them an elusive plumbing issue which we were then able to resolve before it became a major issue. The written report was also very thorough. I believe Mr. Wright is very knowledgeable in his field. I would definitely recommend him to friends, and I would make it a point to use his service again myself, should the need arise.

James was very professional and helpful during the 3.5 hour home inspection. He went over every part of the house and pointed out things that needed work, or things that were in better shape than originally thought. The 14-page inspection report was provided less than 24 hours later along with a few other general home maintenance tips. Well worth it. I'm glad we went with Western Reserve.

Mr. Wright was on time, very polite and personable, knowledgeable, and professional. We were with him throughout his inspection, asking questions, and he thoroughly answered each one. After we received the written report, provided in a very timely manner, he answered all questions pertaining to the report.

I went with Jim based on recommendations from Angie's List. He was far and away, the top rated inspector in the area (based on submitted reports). He scheduled quickly, showed up on time and provided a detailed report within 48 hours. It would have been sooner, but the day following the insection was a holiday. I can't imagine an inspector doing a more complete job. The bonus of Jim's background in structural engineering provides added piece of mind. I recommend Western Reserve, without hesitation and as long as he's in business, wouldn't think about using anyone else.

Only problems experienced with this vendor: 1)When I called back after getting estimates, was hard to reach, Jim said he'd been out of town and his voicemail overloaded. However, on his return, he responded same day I called. 2) Jim missed first appointment set, but was prompt at second try (same day) and discounted his price to compensate for his error. Inspector was polite, work was thorough, completed on time, aren't final (very detailed) report was delivered via email as promised. In spite of initial problem, I would not hesitate to use him again.

We hired Mr. Wright without calling other inspectors for quotes, because his reviews on Angie's List were so good. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and prompt. He came the day after we called him and the report was emailed to us the following morning. He answered all of our questions and provided helpful advice for correcting problems (including giving estimates of how much it should cost for repairs). We felt like it was money well-spent for peace of mind. If we ever need similar work done again or a home inspection of a new house, he will be the only person we will call.

Jim was very thorough. He went over the entire property with a fine tooth comb and explained EVERYTHING to me. He was very patient when answering questions and clarifying things I did not understand. I am a single woman purchasing a home and felt very comfortable with him and respect his knowledge and expertise. Not only did Jim tell me what would need to be taken care of in the coming weeks and months as well as the upcoming 10+ years. He had recommendations for improving the property and having the value increase as well as items perform better. I would certainly use Jim in the future for other inspections.

Jim is patient, thorough, and professional. He showed up right on time (if not a little early) and spent 4+ hours performing a detailed inspection of our new home. Pricing is a bargain at $280. Jim provided a detailed report the next day before noon via e mail.

MR. WRIGHT ANSWERED MY TELEPHONE CALL IMMEDIATELY AND GAVE ME AN INSPECTION DATE THAT FIT MY SCHEDULE. HE INDICATED THAT HE WAS ABLE TO INSPECT ALL THE ASPECTS OF THIS RURAL PROPERTY THAT I HAD CONCERNS ABOUT (IE: WOODBURNING STOVE, BARN, OUTBUILDING). HE ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND BEGAN HIS INSPECTION. IT TOOK ABOUT 4 HOURS. HE INSPECTED EVERY SYSTEM TO MY SATISFACTION AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS. THE NEXT DAY, AN 18 PAGE REPORT ARRIVED. THE IMPORTANT POSITIVE CONDITIONS WITH THIS HOUSE THAT ARE NOT TYPICAL FOR ITS AGE WERE LISTED FIRST, FOLLOWED BY PRIORITIES THAT REQUIRED REPAIR/REPLACEMENT. EVERY SYSTEM, EXTERIOR SURFACE AND INTERIOR SURFACE HAD A REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS. THE HOUSE HAS A FEDERAL PACIFIC ELECTRICAL PANEL AND HE REFERRED IN HIS REPORT TO THE WEBSITE CONCERNING THIS LATENT FIRE HAZARD. THERE WAS SO MUCH INFORMATION. I FELT THIS INSPECTION WAS A BARGAIN AT THE PRICE.

Jim was on time, personable and very easy to work with. He understood my situation and structured the inspection around my concerns.

I thought he was wonderful. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable about what he was doing, very thorough, and the report was done in 24 hours. He made himself available for questions and follow up. If there was an A+ grade, that is what he deserves!!! Even my real estate agent was impressed!!

If all companies were as good as Western Reserve Home Inspection, Angie's List wouldn't be necessary. I can't say enough good things about Jim Wright's home inspection. Jim was very methodical in his approach. He let my wife and I accompany him throughout the entire inspection, and he patiently answered every question we had. The inspection took approximately 3 hours. He noticed several flaws that we had never noticed in two previous walk-throughs, including a cracked skylight, damaged exterior stucco panels, and a heating duct not properly attached at the furnace. Within 24 hours, he provided us a 15-page detailed typed report listing all flaws he found and suggested remedies. It also included other advice and tips for maintaining the home in the future. Jim arrived on-site early, and was accommodating to the change of schedule that our broker requested. He was even careful to wear protective coverings over his boots to keep the carpets clean. I highly recommend him.

THE GENTLEMAN TOOK ME AROUND THE HOUSE AND POINTED OUT THE GOOD AND THE BAD, ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS AND IS STILL ANSWERING MY PHONE CALLS WITH HOUSE QUESTIONS.

We contracted with Western Reserve (James Wright) a few weeks ago to look at a house we considered buying. We were so impressed, we hired him to inspect a home we did buy. Needless to say, he was punctual, professional and his work was complete and detailed. I cannot imagine buying a home without having James look at it; his level of organization and detail will put your mind and wallet at ease. Highly recommended!!

I cannot even begin to describe the level of professionalism that James Wright exhibits. His work saved my wife and I from making a 130,000.00 mistake! He was punctual, courteous and thorough. He took the time to explain each finding as we moved from place to place around the home and offered suggestions and comments when asked. His written report was excellent, both in layout and in content. In summary, if you use Western Reserve Home Inspection to evaluate a home you are buying, you are using money well spent!!! P.S. JAMES WAS VERY HELPFUL. HE TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN SPECIFIC DETAILS AS WELL AS SUGGEST REMEDIES FOR PROBLEMS HE DISCOVERED. VENTING ATTIC INSULATION, ESTIMATED LIFETIMES FOR FURNACES AND OTHER APPLIANCES. EVERYONE WHO IS THINKING OF BUYING A HOME FOR THE FIRST TIME WOULD DO WELL TO HAVE JAMES WALK THEM THROUGH A HOUSE BECAUSE THIS IS QUITE AN ENLIGHTENING EXPERIENCE, AND ANYONE WHO HAS RECENTLY PURCHASED A HOUSE WHERE INSPECTION WASN'T REQUIRED (OUR CASE) WILL LEARN MORE THAN THEY PROBABLY WANT TO LEARN (ABOUT SUCH THINGS AS A DANGEROUS ELECTRICAL WIRING AND UNDISCLOSED REMODELING--FORTUNATELY NO OMINOUS RESULTS).

THE EXPERIENCE WAS DEFINITELY GOOD- HE FOUND SOME AREAS OF CONCERN THAT OUR CONTRACTOR HADN'T APPRECIATED. THE WRITTEN REPORT WAS THOROUGH.

HE ARRIVED A FEW MINUTES EARLY, WHICH WAS NICE, AND SPENT ABOUT AN HOUR INSPECTING THE BASEMENT AND OUTSIDE FOUNDATION. WE WERE EXPECTING TO HEAR THAT WE NEEDED MAJOR WORK DONE BUT WERE RELIEVED TO LEARN WE JUST NEED TO HAVE OUR DRAIN PIPES SNAKED AND TO DO SOME EXTERIOR GRADING OF THE SOIL AROUND THE HOUSE. HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND WAS HAPPY TO SPEND AS MUCH TIME AS NEEDED TO ANSWER ALL OUR QUESTIONS. THE NEXT DAY HE DELIVERED A FULL REPORT, INCLUDING SOME POLAROID PHOTOS HE HAD TAKEN DURING THE INSPECTION, EXPLAINING WHAT HE SAW AND WHAT HE RECOMMENDS WE DO TO SOLVE THE DAMPNESS PROBLEM IN THE BASEMENT. I WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE AGAIN AND WOULD RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. WE FEEL IT WAS WORTH THE MONEY WE PAID TO LEARN WE DON'T NEED TO SPEND THOUSANDS FOR BASEMENT WATERPROOFING!

MR. WRIGHT CAME AT THE APPOINTED TIME. HE INSPECTED THE AREAS THAT I IDENTIFIED AS CRITICAL. HE DID A THOROUGH AND COMPLETE JOB. I WAS FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS READ IN AN ANGIE'S LIST ARTICLE REGARDING BASEMENTS. IT INDICATED THAT HAVING A HOME INSPECTOR EXAMINE THE SITUATION WAS IDEAL BECAUSE THE HOME INSPECTOR IS WORKING FOR YOU AND NOT ATTEMPTING TO SELL YOU A PRODUCT OR SERVICE. IN THIS CASE, MR. WRIGHT'S INSPECTION CONFIRMED SOME OF MY CONCERNS WHILE ALLEVIATING OTHERS. IN ADDITION, MR. WRIGHT INDICATED A POTENTIAL SAFETY PROBLEM THAT I WAS UNAWARE OF - ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL. I WOULD ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO BOTH USE A HOME INSPECTOR WHEN CONCERNED ABOUT MAJOR HOME REPAIRS, AND I RECOMMEND MR. WRIGHT'S WESTERN RESERVE HOME INSPECTION SERVICE. I WILL USE HIM AGAIN.

JIM WRIGHT WAS ON TIME, SPENT 2 HOURS INSPECTING MY MOM'S HOUSE INSIDE, OUT, UP AND DOWN. SENT ME A VERY DETAILED REPORT AND WELL PRESENTED. FOUND PROBLEMS I WAS NOT AWARE OF!
