Overall, we felt the inspection provided more insight, attention, focus on detail and value than we had expected. Mr. Wright performed the inspection, and had quoted us a price of $310 for a four-hour inspection. He ended up spending five hours inspecting the house because of its size and age, and did not charge us for overtime or revise the price. The next day, Mr. Wright emailed us an 18-page typed report, detailing every observation on the house, by room and circumstance. We will be using this report to guide us through the next several years as we renovate the home.

First of all the appointment was set for 5pm. The man was on time, which is my opinion is noteworthy in itself. He was very, very professional and he was very nice. He had all his equipment and took pictures so I would have them for references and including them in the report. He asked me exactly what I wanted. He inspected the basement and asked questions. The conversation flow was very good. He spent 45 minutes here and went everything thoroughly including plumbing ideas. He listened and took my wishes and incorporated them into the report with no problems. He was very, very good. I asked him if he could come back half way through the project and he said he would do a visual inspection to make sure things are being followed to a T. This company is awesome.

It went very well. James spent over 3 hours on our ranch. We had a condensation problem in the attic that he took the extra time to try to diagnose. He was prompt, thorough, personable and answered all of our questions.

James was flexible with a shifting schedule due to the bank's inability to schedule utilities to be turned on. When we arrived to do the inspection we found that the furnace had not been turned on, and in fact did not work. James toughed it out in 10 degree (inside!) weather and compiled an incredibly thorough and insightful report detailing everything but the plumbing we were unable to inspect. His report was far more extensive and observant than any reports I have seen from his competitors and even offered helpful hints or background details about the topic at hand. A+ work!

I called a list of inspection services, but I had not been impressed by an inspection done on another property by another inspection service. My next inspection on a different property was by James Wright, who is also a registered civil engineer, and he included report on a questionable patio roof, which he found to be unsafe without added supports. I was with him during the entire inspection, and as a mechanical designer, I was well satisfied with his knowledge, diligence, an observational skills. His report was extensive, but it was simple to summarize for easy reference. He found several safety-related violations beyond what I had discovered, and it appeared that he covered every base. I am still looking for a house, and he will likely be the first I will call for inspection.

Mr. Wright was thorough and very helpful. He determined that the 80-year-old house is basically sound (roof, attic, foundation), while identifying problem areas and helping to determine what were the priorities for repair. I now know more about my house and can plan for updates and maintenance. I'll sleep better!

My sisters and I have all used Jim for all our home inspections. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough.

He was great about scheduling an appointment that was convenient for me. I was at work, and totally embarrassed that I had forgotten our appointment. He went ahead and did the outside inspection and then called me to make sure that we were still on. Luckily I was very nearby and hurried over. And I can be a pretty hard person to satisfy as far as value for my money and customer service. Western Reserve blew my expectations out of the water.

Great service. James showed up exactly on time. He thoroughly inspected the home and brought a variety of metering devices. He answered any and all questions and was very knowledgeable. The written report arrived in 24 hours by email as promised. We learned a lot about our future home.

James Wright of Western Reserve Home Inspection LLC was on time, thorough and professional (he actually arrived a few minutes early). He patiently answered ALL of my questions in layman's terms and he stopped several times to ask if I had any more questions. He spent nearly 4 hours inspecting the house from top to bottom, including the exterior, chimneys, garage, landscaping, roofing, electrical, plumbing and HVAC (I'm probably forgetting a few things). He tested EVERY appliance. While his report arrived a few hours later than promised (he promises reports within 24 hours of the inspection), it was incredibly detailed and thorough. The 17-page report pointed out the positives and negatives of the inspection and offered a number of abatement/improvement recommendations in layman's terms. Perhaps most importantly, he discovered a major problem with the basement's waterproofing system that my wife and I didn't notice in our two viewings of the house. I highly recommend James Wright.

Jim was great to work with. He gave us a very reasonable plan so the work could be done safely. He took pictures and wrote a brief report that we gave to the contractors. They worked off his report and the whole job went well.

Jim arranged to inspect the home on very short notice. He was very prompt, efficient, and extremely thorough. Very professionally done. Definitely recommend him for home inspections!

I called Monday to sched. an apt and was able to get an inspection Tues afternoon. James Wright performed the home inspection and was right on time. Even though there was about a ft of snow on the ground, James performed as thorough of an outside inspection as I would expect. James was very thorough with his interior inspection, spending about 4 hrs at the house (at no addtl. charge). James did an excellent job explaining all aspects of his inspection, especially helpful to me since I have never owned a home. He gave lots of tips on proper maint. and items to watch out for. The inspection report was a well-written narrative of the inspection and was very thorough. There were very few comments that James made during the inspection that did not make it into the inspection report (this was very appreciated). James took exactly 24 hours to provide the inspection report. The inspection wrapped up at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday and I had the report in my email box at 5:27 pm on Wednesday.

Jim was able to schedule me quickly (within three days) and met me at the house. He spent over three hours and was extremely thorough. He answered many questions and was very helpful as respects my concerns about the foundation. He squeezed into places I wouldn't go! His written report was detailed and very professional. I did buy the house but was able to negotiate the price based on repairs needed (but not visible to layperson) because of this report. I would definitely use his services again.

Jim arrived on time and we started the inspection almost immediately. He is very detail oriented and I really appreciated that since I have never owned a home before. He explained EVERYTHING that he checked and gave a me a working knowledge of what to expect now and in the future. Extremely thorough and he answered my questions in detail and in terms I could understand. I guess you can tell that I'm pleased. It's very hard to find good people and Jim is one of the best. And the final 16 page report listing the small problems and what to look out for is fantastic.

My opinion of home inspectors in general is low. Most inspectors are dependent on Realtors for referrals and repeat business, so they are careful to make enough fuss that the home buyer feels as though he got his money's worth, but never find "enough" to screw up the deal. Jim was completely different and outstanding. I would use him again in a heartbeat. Jim provided a contract in advance of the inspection. His inspection seemed thorough, and he was very inquisitive- he spent time trying to understand how one thing or another had gotten one way or another. "Now, why would they have cut that off here?....". His report was helpful for its summary and its detail, and was much more than the usual "tick-boxes" from that others use. He clearly delineated the difference between major problems, minor fixes, and incomplete maintenance. I had two separate inspectors inspect the house, and Jim was clearly comfortable with that. He missed very minor things. In all, a complete job well done.

Jim did a fantastic job! He showed up early and got to work immediately. He looked at everything in detail and let me follow him the entire time, explaining what he saw as he went along and patiently answered all of my questions. It was fantastic! Jim was on time, accurate, knowledgeable and patient. He arrived on time, it took 4 hours for a 400 square foot home and he was very thorough. He nows his stuff and takes time to explain everything. He writes a report instead of using some pre-packaged checklist.

He was great all around, he understood the information I wanted. He was very quick to return my call and set up an appointment where he arrived on time. The inspection took a little over an hour, which he had told me. He gave me recommendations and let me know what he found. He also gave me a written report that was complete and professionally done. He attached a homeowners list as to what things in the home should be checked and how often.
