James inspected, photographed, and wrote an extensive report on my basement walls. He even notified me of the need to replace an electric panel that has been recognized as a fire hazard. When he e-mailed my report he included an annual maintenance schedule for my house. James is very professional, prompt and thorough and he will be my home inspector of choice from now on. I would highly recommend him to everyone in need of a home inspector and wish he had been mine when I purchased this house!

Mr. Wright came on time. He listened to our concerns and then proceeded to do an extensive structural inspection to see what would need to be done to repair the damage that had been done by Kitchen Design Center when they took down a weight bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room. He then submitted a report that extensively described the damage and his recommendations as to what would need to be done to repair it. He was pleasant, thorough and professional. We were very pleased.

An excellent job. Jim quoted us accurately over email, and arrived for the inspection on time. The house we had him inspect was a big Cleveland Heights house (5200 sq ft or so) that was in bad shape in some respects. We knew it would take a while as a result, and were worried an inspector would hurry through it to get it done in a specified amount of time. It did take a while, but I never felt Jim was in a hurry to get done. He walked through every part of the house with us, taking the time to ask us if we had questions every time we entered a new area. He knows a ton about houses, and you can and should ask him anything that comes to mind even if it seems like a stupid question. He will never make you feel like you don't know as much as you should. He has a good sense of humor; going through the house with him discussing the issues was a very good experience. Because the water and gas was not on at the time of inspection, he offered to come back and inspect those systems for free. The report he sent us was the most impressive part. It was almost 40 pages (it was a huge house with lots of problems, most should not be this long), with pictures and written descriptions of every issue. When appropriate, he described how to fix it or how much it could approximately cost (though of course he cannot be held to this, and any approximates are for your information only). He gave us the option to mail the report or email it; I wanted email because it was just easier for me. He got us the report the in the afternoon of the NEXT DAY, it is hard to fathom how he finished a 40-page report so quickly. He is one of those guys that is so competent that you feel like he could be doing anything well, but actually WANTED to do this job. It is a good feeling.

Excellent. He was prompt, profesional, thorough, and very knowledgeable. He emailed us a report that was thorough and prompt (within 24 hours). It was detailed with photos. He took the time to talk w/my husband to explain things. He came well prepared.

We called Jim on 2 separate occasions to perform complete home inspections. First time he was able to come out within 1 day which was great as we were under a time crunch and 2nd time was able to come out within about 3-4 days. Price was 290$ for each house. We felt that the services provided by Jim are well worth the money spent. Very nice and professional individual. He tolerated my questions about upgrades to the property and was very knowledgeable about the work that would need to be performed and the price involved for that work. He climbed up into the attic and on top of the roof and noted any problems. Also checked out the chimneys. Would definately use him again! Seems very honest and trustworthy.

He did a good job. He was very thorough. He told me some stuff that I wanted to hear and some that I did not want to hear. He did his job exactly, and he was a nice guy.

It went well. The inspection was thorough and uncovered some things that needed immediate attention (since done). The report was thorough and completed in one day. The report presented needed work in priority order. It stated the positive conditions (furnace, tank, structure, windows) not typical for the house's age; all are a testament to my father's work while he was alive.

Mr. Wright arrived exactly when he said he would for the inspection. He explained why the garage floor and interior walls had deteriorated. His solutions for correcting and avoiding problems in the future were excellent. I especially appreciated his idea of replacing the flower box with a patio door that would match the other doors rather than a wall or another flower box. He took pictures which were included in the written report that I received shortly after his visit. I used his report to select a contractor. Each time I called him about aspects of the job that needed to be done, after I had received the report and paid him, he responded promptly and was very helpful.

I've purchased several homes and never had a home inspection as thorough as this one. We spent 3 hours going over every detail of the house. Within 24 hours, I received a 20 page report that is serving as an excellent guide in maintaining the home.

It was very easy to schedule the appointment. The inspection lasted several hours and discovered problems that were later taken up with the Sellers to our advantage. The report took a little longer than promised but the Sellers were flexible so that did not become a problem.

Jim Wright was very respectful while going through our house. I did not feel he was invading our privacy even though he had to go through our whole house. He was on time and did not rush through the job. Jim took the time to completely answer all of our questions and was enthusiastic to help us with all our concerns. He is knowledgeable and easy to work with. His advice can be trusted.

The inspection went well. All my questions were answered. Concerns I had were addressed and we received a detailed report with pictures on the issues we had. Mr. Wright was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable.

Mr. Wright arrived promptly. He invited me to accompany him on his inspection. He began with the exterior. He pointed out some potential problems and offered some suggestions on prevention other problems. He then moved inside. He checked the electrical system and checked that the outlets were properly grounded. He also tested for gas leaks on the furnace, through the wall heater, dryer, and water heater. He also tested to make sure these items worked as designed. He also checked the various water faucets and toilets. He also checked for any basement water problems. Moving upstairs, he checked the dishwasher and garbage disposal for proper operation and leaks. He then check the storage areas for insulation and proper air flow. The total inspection took 2 1/2 to 3 hours. He provide a 16 page report, with photos, and discussed the problems he found and suggestions on how to remedy them. The report was delivered by e-mail the next day. I was quite pleased with his professionalism and willingness to answer my questions. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others, or use him again.

James Wright came to the house and, with my input as to what I was looking for, inspected the house for foundation weaknesses and for an explanation that would help me understand why the damage occurred. A very thorough explanation, and recommendations for repair, was given verbally and in a written report e-mailed to me the same day. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended.

Inspection day turned out to be a rainy day. Jim was there early and did not let the rain affect him. He was very, very thorough and did not hesitate to answer any question we asked. He spent almost 4 hours with us as we went over every square inch of the house. Crawl spaces, roof, attic - you name it we were there. He was a huge resource for us as this is the first home we have ever purchased. Paid exactly what he quoted on the estimate and sent us a 20 page report within 24 hours. Mr. Wright was very professional from beginning to end. A contract was present to me with indicating everything that would happen at the inspection. The inspection took approx. 3 1/2 hours. Mr. Wright was very thorough. Afterwords he pointed out matters that should be handled immediately. Then Mr. Wright e-mailed me a 21 page report of "everything," positives and negatives, about my home, as well as suggestions and referrals. I am really impressed with Mr. wright's services. 5 stars.

He wrote a very thorough 14 page report and sent a home maintenance guide for our reference. He emailed the report within 24 hours of the inspection. He was able to come 3 days after we contacted him. We felt comfortable with his opinion as an engineer and inspector. There were a few things that need to be done to the house, but nothing overwhelming. He pointed out the things that needed to be done with safety in mind.

Jim spent about 3-4 hours on the inspection of the inside and exterior of the home. He patiently answered our questions during that process. Less than 24 hours later we received a very comprehensive report by email with a supplemental guide for homeowners' routine maintenance. The report seemed much more thorough than others we have seen in the past as buyers of about 4 homes in different cities and states in our various relocations over the last 25 years. We aren't planning to sell our home anytime soon, but feel it offers a peace of mind to know what could and should be done around the house to keep it in good shape for us and future buyers of the house. It's a real plus to have an educated opinion about our "to-do" list rather than us just basically guessing. We will definitely contract with Jim for future home inspection needs in the future.

Western Reserve Home Inspection performed a thorough, quality inspection. James Wright pointed out many things in our home of which we were unaware. He analyzed our home from top to bottom: outside and the interior of our home, electrical system, heating system, plumbing, basement, foundation, and the roof. Jim Wright performed an incredibly thorough inspection for our new house. The listing and buying agents were both amazed at how careful he was (it was the first time for me so I didn't know it was unusual); he took over 3 hours to go through everything in detail. He submitted a extremely thorough report along with a list of specific recommendations. He also came back out to reinspect after the sellers fixed a number of the items on the list and verified their work for another $75. My father in law has already asked him to come inspect his house before he sells it! I would recommend him without reservation.
