Wagner Home Improvement

I felt like Wagner's Home Improvement was very fair and they did such a good job. I was very pleased with their work and also I thought their prices were fair.

Randy was helpful in explaining the job and all of my options. He was also the only one, of the companies that I called for estimates, that actually got on the roof to see what was really needed, which I appreciated. The crew was very courteous, friendly and professional. They were careful to make as little mess as possible when tearing off the old roof and they cleaned up thoroughly each night when they left. They did a great job on the roof, making sure everything was done right down to the details. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I was very happy with their service. With the new roof they were very meticulous with the cleanup, but with what I believe were subcontractors that were hired to install the gutters and screens they weren't meticulous with clean up. They left sharp metal trimmings from cutting the screens on the porch. I will be contacting them though for an estimate for siding in the future.

Explained in great detail what he thought happened in that spot and what I might be facing in other areas (It's an old house). He was at my house for at least 1 1/2 hours. I was really nervous about the bill for that evening; $85.00! I am very pleased, and relieved to have found them. Will be scheduling the rest of the work with Wagner.

If it could go wrong, it did. The weather certainly wasn't cooperating by giving us thunderstorms in the early afternoon many days, the truck they used to haul away shingles broke down, and the job was bigger than it initially looked (the original shingles were apparently still on the house.) In the end, it took longer than it initially appeared it would. They handled everything like the professionals they are and kept us up to date as to what was going on at all times. Choosing materials was easy since Randy had us go see other homes they'd done which had the shingles we liked on houses with similar colors. They put in extra effort to find a gutter to match our trim, which makes the whole job look finished and fantastic. They even took the time to paint our new exhaust fan so it would blend in better. Randy even figured out how to get the electrical working again in the garage! Everyone was very friendly and we always felt comfortable. We felt that the pricing was more than fair and that they did their best to work within our budget and time constraints. We would happily use them in the future. Extremely minor complaints, but to be balanced and fair: It would have been nice if they had vacuumed the outside window sills of the black dust, but otherwise they did an absolutely amazing job with the clean up (which was the main thing we liked about them when reading about Wagner on angies list.) Roofs are really, really messy by nature, so take that for what it's worth. The grass under the equipment died mostly due to the very high temperatures. We're not lawn fanatics so it's not a huge deal, but it would have been cool if they had shifted everything at some point to minimize the impact. We expected some loss due to the amount and nature of the work being done this summer, so once again not a huge deal(and not a large area of the lawn affected.) In all A+

The installation of the windows was very well done. They were very punctual with appointments. There was a small mix up with the ordering of one window which slowed the job a little bit, but other than that the job went very well.

Wagner got the job done several weeks before the promised end date. They were extremely efficient and responsive to our questions and needs. Our house exterior looked fantastic when the job was done. We liked it better than anticipated. The crews cleaned up quite well. Larry Wagner was fun to work with. He even gave our 4-year-old grandson, who came to watch, a windows coloring book that he just "happened to have" in his truck. This project was a huge expense but was well worth it.

This estimate was less work and more money for same project that other companies were charging less money, for the same amount of work. ($1500)

As usual, their response was prompt and had the remote in the mail from the manufacturer that day. They have done other repair work and we couldn't be happier with their service and helpful attitude.

They were good, straight-forward and gave us a lot of options before we made the final decision.

It was a great experience. Randy, the sales person came and checked out every little thing and was very thorough. They were very responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. They came when they said they would and finished sooner than I had expected.

It was fine. They got the work done in a timely matter. They were friendly and they cleaned up well. The gutters look good. They quoted us at the end of last year and we had it done this Spring, so there was a price increase because of the several months that passed before we used them.

They were fantastic, professional, and price was great. I can't think of a negative.

Overall repair satisfactory and service was prompt, punctual, performed efficiently and well. New shingles blended in well with old. Can't really tell about leak until this winter when snow and ice dams form, but I expect to keep the roof edge clear as I did last year and will see if leak reappears. Cost eminently reasonable - I was surprised as an earlier estimate by another company would've required more work and greater cost. Maybe that estimate was more realistic - we will see over this winter.

I called the company in the winter when I noticed shingles missing from the roof. The company representative asked the location of the missing shingles and assured me that because of where the shingles were missing I would not have any leakage. (He was right--I did not have any leaks). Due to the rainy Spring weather, they could not replace the shingles until April. I appreciated the information and the quick response when the weather improved. It was such a small job that I also appreciated, that they came out. The installer was pleasant and professional. He checked the entire roof for me.

The house looks great! The quality of their work was very high. We are pleased. They cleaned up everything, but there were still a lot of nails from the tear down of the old siding. They did clean up the debris though and were careful of our plantings.

He went up on the roof caulk my chimney, nailed areas where the nails popped up or missing and he also caulk flashing around pipes. He said that I wouldn't need a new roof until 2-3 years. He made the suggestions about insulation installed before a new roof was put on.

Randy came out, thoroughly investigated the symptoms we described, and was friendly and straight-forward. He advised us that the real problem was likely with the chimney and gave us the name of another local company he trusted with the type of work we needed. When I asked for the bill, he stated there was no work to be done, that he only looked at my roof, so he couldn't charge me. As for the soffit vent retrofit, he gave me a quote and informed me he was happy to do the project but also advised how to do it myself if I wanted to save the money. I was shocked he was looking out for me and not just trying to get a sale. Just as impressive, his price was reasonable. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised to find someone investigate my issues so thoroughly and ask for nothing in return. I will definitely be calling Wagner when work needs performed on my house in the future (like the vents this spring since extra time always eludes me) and recommending them to friends.

Wagner Home Improvement is the only company to call if you are looking for an exceptional job and unbelievable attention to detail. They are not just siding installers....they are CRAFTSMEN!! We couldn't be happier with the wonderful job they did. We have received numerous compliments from visitors to our home, our neighbors and even strangers just walking down the street! If you are considering installing siding on your home they are the people to call. As a bonus, the workers were very polite and always cleaned up the area before leaving for the day.

They left the job site immaculate every day. They cleaned up perfectly. They worked as quickly as they could during a patch of bad weather. Their manager, Randy Sindelar, was very knowledgeable and exhibited a friendly but very professional demeanor. He was very thorough in his explanations and very patient, very clear and precise.

They actually did the work the day they came to assess it. They were very reasonable and fixed the problem. We were very happy with them. Randy was terrific!

I was very pleased with the beautiful job they did. They were prompt showing up on time their prices were very reasonable. They worked diligently cleaning everything up when the job was completed. Everything went smoothly and I was exceptionally pleased with them. I won't go anywhere else than Angie's List to find contractors.

Service was extremely good; Randy showed up on time to determine what needed done. We had a major roof leak occur. They covered roof leak with a tarp until they could receive the shingles. Because of the urgency, they moved us up into their schedule and we had a new roof 2 weeks later. The roofers also were on time every day, cleaned up every day. The roof shingles are high quality and it looks great. They are not the cheapest but the quality makes it worth the money.

The experience was very nice. We had both Wagner and another local company come out and give us estimates and their quotes were approximately the same. We chose Wagner because the salesman that came to our house felt less like a salesman and more like a family friend. Very low pressure and gave us a quote on the spot after doing some calculations. They were very busy so it took a couple of weeks before they could start the job (but all roofers in the area had about the same lead time). The crew showed up on time on the day they said they would, and they finished the job in two days, which is what they estimated. They left the yard spotless - could not even tell they had been there. No payment was due up front, entire payment collected after the job was completed, which was nice. Company was very honest in their dealings - only charged me for the actual plywood they used. The roof looks great and Wagner will be getting my business when it comes time to replace the front.
