They were always on time (or early), very neat and polite. At completion of job, carpenter thanked me for my business. They were great to deal with and we love our new doors.

John (from Wagners) called and came right away that day, after I called. I was very concerned it would leak again and ruin the ceiling if not done before the next rain. John explained everything and answered all my questions about the roof. Very knowledgable, courteous, and informative.

Larry Wagner and group were excellent. They came on time and completed an excellent clean up.

Their estimate was a bit high and they weren't able to schedule me for a few months. I chose to work with another company.

It went very well. Everything that was promised was done well and on time.

I had used Wagner for my roof the previous spring and was very happy with the whole experience, so I called them again for an estimate on a retractable awning. I dealt with Larry Wagner who came to my home to provide an estimate. He was prompt and answered my questions. Wagner sells Sunesta brand awnings which are higher quality than most, but also cost much more. In the end, the price just didn't fit my budget. I tried to negotiate but was flatly turned down. I was disappointed and felt like they didn't really want my business on a $4,000 awning job. I would still highly recommend this company for their roofing, which I used and was pleased, though I dealt with a different estimator on the roof. However, Larry Wagner made it clear that they don't make much money on retractable awning jobs, which makes me wonder why they continue to offer the products and services, as it became clear they were not motivated to close the sale. I rated the professionalism a "C" because I felt like I was bothering Larry in trying to discuss the awning - I appreciate that he is busy, but every conversation felt rushed and he was more blunt than I would expect a professional to be about certain aspects of the job. I rated the price a "C" because, even though I'm sure it is a high quality product, it just was not competitive with other companies' products for which I received estimates on. Also, no part of the estimate was negotiable and they were not willing to work with me to find a resolution. We were $240 apart on a $4,000 job and I got no consideration. I can appreciate that the profit margin is thin on these things - but a company shouldn't sacrifice professionalism and satisfying a repeat customer just because they offer a product and service that makes them very little money. They should seriously consider discontinuing this service if it is not economically feasible, rather than turning repeat customers away. However, I rated the quality an A because the product they offer has the longest warranty of any model - however, it was over $1,000 more expensive than comparable models - though the warranties are not as long. But, for that price difference, I could buy a cheaper model (and did) and replace worn out parts for less than the initial cost of the Sunesta model Wagner offers. Responsiveness and Punctuality was a "B" for me because I wasn't left waiting and my questions were answered. Overall, a "C" because I was disappointed in the overall experience. I thought I had found a company I could use for multiple services - however, my positive experience with their roofing did not transfer over to my awning experience. I will probably call them for estimates on other future home improvements, however

We had leakage around our chimney and windows. The situation was so severe that paint and chunks of plaster were falling off the wall. We had tried to multiple times to fix the problem to no avail. When we decided to call in a contractor, several companies we contacted didn't even want to look at our problem, as it is so difficult to determine the source of a leak like this. Not only did Rick figure out what was causing the problems, he fixed it quickly and for much less than we had expected to pay. Rick is an incredible trouble shooter, and has what I would call a photographic memory about details of a house. He quickly deduced that our siding had been installed when our house had multiple layers of roofing. When the roof was torn off and replaced, a small gap was created that sucked water in around the flashing of the chimney. After our multiple attempts to solve this problem, Wagner was able to fix it in a couple of hours, and now we have normal walls again! It also impressed us that Rick was willing to come out for multiple estimates on different dates. Although we decided against doing improvements on two separate occasions (after Rick spent extensive time creating an estimate), when we called him a third time, we were treated with the same professionalism and courtesy as when we first contacted him. Highly recommended, especially if you have a tricky job, or need to work within a budget.

I contacted Wagner because our roof was one of many damaged by hail. Randy came out on 7/20/10, which was quite prompt after my initial inquiry (unlike another I called). I was very impressed by the verbal analysis he did of our roof and the conditions it faces. It's a large, steep roof near Lake Erie that gets hit by strong winds. It occurred to me that he was either dazzling me with brilliance or baffling me with... you know the saying. However, I decided it was roofing brilliance. He measured and evaluated for over 2 hours. He told me it'd be a couple of days before he could get me the written estimate, which seemed reasonable given all the roofs being replaced in town. I know every roofer is swamped. However, I have never heard from him again. I left a message at the office on 8/6/10, asking about the proposal and if I should just be ruling Wagner out (or rather, was Wagner ruling themselves out). I was told Randy would be in the showroom on 8/7/10 and would get my message. It is now 8/13/10 and I've heard not one word. No proposal. No phone call. I was really, really, leaning toward Wagner after Randy's visit, but not now - not even if a good proposal comes through. I'm angry. I don't understand how or why Randy would spend over two hours measuring, evaluating, and discussing all our (improved ventilation) options in great detail just to throw our potential business away like that. I could have accepted if the proposal were later than he first expected, but he could have explained that in a phone call. I don't think I said or did anything to lead Randy to believe I was not seriously considering Wagner for the work, and I don't think I came off as an "undesirable" customer. I'm just baffled. And I'm going to call other companies to get up to my three estimates that I'd like before deciding.

They did very well. They were true to the estimate and very thorough. They came out when they said they would. It was a very good experience.

It was seamless from start to finish. The work was finished on time, the workers were knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous and left the home in flawless condition each night. The owner personally inspected the property prior to its completion. I only wish I had realized Wagner could have put in all our windows or did interior work such as kitchens. They are excellent.

Overall, it went well. The crew was very courteous, friendly and hard-working. Slight snofu with employee being sick, but the crew was able to work with it.

They did a very good job. Everyone was courteous and professional. Randy was the only rep from 3 companies I requested quotes from who actually came out to my house and explained in detail everything that needed to be done. Pricing was almost a thousand dollars cheaper than the first quote and a little lower than the second quote. No hassle whatsoever. They did exactly what they werer contracted to do and were respectful of our two dogs, our propery, and ourselves.

The people showed up on time. The workmanship was excellent, and they were constantly cleaning up any mess that they made. I am having them do additional work on the house.

Wagner seemed the best at providing the estimate, since many of the companies did not even show to provide estimates and once hired including having placed a deposit it took months for them to return to complete the job, over six months! I had to call on numerous occasions in order to finally get them to complete the work. They did the work very quickly and never returned to check the work or get any feedback. Less than a year later I have problems again and had to go up and seal myself, I am now looking for new contractor to install new roof including repairs to the skylights installation. I cannot recommend Wagner for any work.

Wagner Home Improvement was professional and helpful from the start to the finish of the project.

He was very knowledgable and took the time to educate us about roofing. His prices are a bit high though. We got five estimates and his was the highest. Ultimately we chose another company. Also, we didn't like the way he bad-mouthed other companies.

Another good experience. Repairs were performed quickly and professionally. Cleanup was excellent. Innformed us that the portion of the roof they were working on did not have roofing paper under the shingles. We were thankful for the information as we would not have known otherwise. The original roofer, not Wagner, was informed and corrections made.

Randy did a professional analysis and recommended ventilation improvements. He was most helpful and answered all my questions thoroughly. Though he suggested I could wait another year or two to replace the roof, I decided to go ahead this year because of personal circumstances. Because of weather delays, the project took longer than anticipated, but the crew (Dave, Cassidy, Ross) cleaned up daily and kept me informed on their progress. The roof was always left protected until the work could resume safely. The crews (both roofing and qutter replacement) were professional, quiet, and neat. A pleasant and painless experience!

I had a good feeling about the company from the start - the people I came in contact with were confident and friendly. The gentleman who did the estimate was able to answer my multiple questions and came up with solutions to our window problem. The first set of folks who came out to replace the drain pipe told me that they had a better idea than the original plan, and asked if it was ok to make the change. I was very impressed that the craftsmen were confident enough in Wagner's support to make changes. Then, a few days later, a second crew came out to frame the window. I was notified before they arrived, and I didn't need to be home for either repair. I'm very happy with the work and with my experience. I admit, that I didn't shop around for price, I wanted to speed up the process.

The guys took a lot of time and effort and were meticulous in measuring and assuring that awning will be self-supporting even under heavy snow in this awkward area. When a fancy pole (complete with scrollwork) and railing we had planned to retain from our previous awning structure was found could not be retrofitted to the new awning (the pole was too short), even though the new awning was self-supporting Wagner made a new replacement pole for free because I stated I really wanted the decorative aspect of it. Their goal clearly seemed to be to satisfy me as a customer, they gave no argument whatsoever that the awning was self-supporting and therefore I didn't need the railing and pole unit. They saw I wanted it, knew that they had agreed to reinstall the old one but now couldn't, so they made a new one for free. This effort required several extra hours of their time, and was done with a smile. Great customer service!

Everything from start to finish went very well (no surprises). Everyone was courteous, professional, and very careful of our home. The installation took two full days and at the end there was nothing we had to do but wash our new windows. We are very pleased.

Larry and Randy were very thorough during the sales process, things explained well and advice given on do's and don'ts that we appreciated. Whenever I telephoned the company, I always got a person never voice mail, and always a quick response to my questions. The guys who did the actual work were very meticulous, friendly, answered all questions, paid great attention to detail on their work. No foul language, etc., generally quiet and did their work steadily. The guys were good on clean up, made sure driveway free of nails, screws, etc., and any materials left for the next day were neatly stored and out of the way. A totally pleasant experience, and we are very pleased with the end result.

We called them and they came out right away. They told us we needed to use a construction company because they did not do that type of work. They recommended another great company for us. We've used Wagner Home Improvement before. We have found them to be very honest, responsive, and professional. (The whole cost of the repair work was $3400.00, which the 2 companies divided between each other, though I don't know how that was divided).

It went very smoothly. Honest and accessible estimate. They answered all my questions honestly without trying to sell me on anything, which I appreciated. The price was better than two other companies I had gotten estimates from. They were prompt at returning calls and providing information. Work took two days and they cleaned up the yard and drive very well, only a couple nails or shingle bits left behind. Very pleased and would use them again.
