The Plumbing Source

These people were excellent! They were very patient with my situation. I live in an older home and the flooring was questionable. They were patient with me and answered all of my questions. The $500 included the toilet. My toilet had to be replaced. They really took all of the time I needed to answer all of my questions so I could make a decision. They were excellent and patient!

They were very quick and overall I thought they did a good job.

On Sunday, I discovered a flooded floor in the laundry room of my 1950-era house: the old hot water tank/heater had begun leaking though the bottom. I called The Plumbing Source emergency number and explained the situation. Fortunately, Eric had been out a month previously to provide an estimate for a new tankless heater--I had just hoped the old heater would last longer than it did--so they already had all the necessary information. Eric called on Monday morning to confirm the job, and arrived Tuesday morning with Levi. Together they drained and removed the old tank, then removed and plugged the holes for some old heating oil lines coming up through the slab floor behind where it stood. They installed a new electrical outlet to power the tankless heater, which they mounted on the wall. They had to cut out a tangle of old gas pipes that ran in various directions, and put in a much simplified run that would serve the furnace and tankless heater. They rerouted and replaced the old water lines with new copper pipe and new, more convenient shut-off valves, and pulled out the old exhaust piping and plugged the hole through the ceiling. They installed new through-the-wall intake and exhaust vents for the heater. They worked eight hours with only a thirty-minute lunch break on a dirty and complicated job, and left no trace of their presence. I will use them for all my upcoming jobs as I have this place renovated.

They did a great job. They were out within 24 hours to fix the leak.

They are very respectful and leave the place cleaner than when they arrived. They do what they say and get it done in an excellent amount of time. They are overall great workers.

I appreciated their promptness and the level of service. They gave me additional information to solve problems on my own without necessarily having to call somebody, which I also appreciated. I really, really liked that. I would absolutely use them again.

They did very good work. The only thing was they could of told me how much it would of cost for parts/labor. I was shocked to see the price at the end of the job. The estimate was only for the parts, and I was surprised to see the labor cost. They did great work though.

It went well. They are very polite and work with you and your schedule. They ended up sending 2 guys. The first fixed the leak in the house. The second fixed the sump pump guy under the deck. Both were very nice. The second guy was careful not to damage the deck. He took off the stairs to avoid damaging the wood floor of the deck and then re-attached them. He also showed me the bad part. I am happy it is fixed.

They were very timely, clean, and the young man was very professional. He took care of the problem and I have had no problems since then.

They were prompt and did the job well and quickly.

I called them on a Monday morning and they were able to set me up for a Thursday appointment since it wasn't an emergency. That was still a very quick response as I figured it'd be at least a week if not two without it being an emergency. They came out Thursday morning, on time, and checked out what was going on. We had somewhat of a weird set up going on, so he explained how he could fix that for us and do it how it's supposed to be. We had just had a new floor installed in the laundry room with the water heater as well, so we were concerned how the new tank would fit in with the cut outs in the floor for the current one. They installed a pan, which fit perfectly into our current cut out in the floor and installed a tall heater, instead of a short, to fit into the pan. They also set up the pressure release correctly, how it's supposed to be, and fixed the minor problems we had with the current set up. They laid down tarps to protect our carpet and floor as they worked and left without leaving a trace of a mess. The job was done quickly and professionally and the end product looked fantastic. It's hard to consider a water heater turning out looking good, but it was so well done you now look at it and go, "yes, that's clearly how it should be done". The price was a little high and I'd put it at a B, but they came out so quickly and did such a great job, it's impossible not to give them an A. It's worth paying for such a great service. I will definitely use them again when the time comes.

The work to be completed was in response to a report from a structural engineer that I had perform an evaluation of the entire house (build in 1950). In the unlit, dirt-floored crawlspace beneath the house, which can only be entered through a narrow hole in the foundation wall, he found that the drain under the master bathroom was leaking. This was a cobbled-together arrangement of pipes instead of a proper p-trap. Four pipe end caps were rusted and possibly frozen in place, and I was told these could burst at any time. A shut-off valve to one of the exterior hose connections was badly rusted and needed replacement. I made an appointment with The Plumbing Source. The day they were to arrive, the company called me to tell me they were on their way and when to expect them. When the crew of two arrived, they immediately went to work. They brought portable floodlights and there was no complaint at all about the difficult access or uncomfortable work environment. The job was completed in half the time originally estimated (2 hours as opposed to 4 hours). The jury-rigged drain arrangement was completely rebuilt, the rusted valve replaced, and the 4 rusted pipe end caps were replaced. Two of these, which were intended for draining all the hot and cold water lines in the house, were replaced with drain c****. They cleaned up before leaving.

They did as little damage as they could. They put in copper and a new valves so in the future I can turn it off. They recommended to us a person to do restoration for us because there was damage to our wall. They did great job. They explained to us exactly what they would do. I had several projects going on, but I remember the price being reasonable.

It went really well. They explained everything in detail and what my options were. They gave me the option to replace the part, but for the price and labor it was benificial to replace the whole unit. They had very quick service. They were also very friendly and knowledgable.

We received an estimate for a renovation project we were planning. Plumbing source scheduled an estimate and came out on time. They gave us a quote with a very good price for the renovation to be done with copper and estimated that the work could be done in about 2 weeks and would take a week to complete. We decided to go with the Plumbing Source and scheduled for the work to begin about 3 weeks later. The company pulled the work premit and registered with the city. The day before the work was scheduled to begin I received a call from the manager stating that they don't do renovation projects any more - only clean outs and they would not be able to perform the service. They did however refer me to another polumber who could and did do the work for the same cost a few days later. My interaction with Plumbing souce was fine, however I thought it was unprofessional to commit to work and have it on the books for 3 weeks only to realize the day before work was to begin that they couldn't do it.

Original pipe had slipped and separated from metal gutter drain, allowing water to run onto lawn. Guys dug up old tile pipe and replaced it with new plastic, connected it to the gutter and then inspected the existing drain pipe to the street with a camera. The job was professionally done, though I thought the cost was very high for several hours of work and a few pieces of plastic pipe. The Plumbing Source responded quickly to my call, showed up on time to give an estimate, and then performed the necessary work at that time rather than reschedule for a later time.

They were very professional and kept everything clean while working and explained the features of the new disposal after completion of the work. I have hired this provider for other projects and have not been disappointed.

They were punctual, professional, and I thought the price was good. I had other estimates and had different prices and theirs was the best. I would recommend them.

They came quickly and stuck to the quotation. They seemed a bit expensive, but did a good job. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

It was an odd situation because our house used to be a duplex, and there was a kitchen sink up there which was tied into the bathroom sink, and it was all blocked up. We removed all of the plumbing upstairs related to that kitchen sink. They were very efficient and got the job done very quickly. The thing I liked most about them was that they knew what the problem was and took care of it right away. They were expensive, but I thought it was worth it. They had to come out twice, which was kind of weird. We would use them again in the future if necessary.

It went well. They have done other things for us in the past.

Still having problems with water coming through drain.

I emailed The Plumbing Souce on a Sunday night regarding a dripping water faucet. They called me on Monday to set up an appointment for the upcoming Friday. They called me Friday morning to say the technician was on his way. He arrived approx 15 minutes before the apointed time (which was good with me). He fixed the dripping faucet quickly. I also showed him a different faucet that has had low water pressure since I moved into the house 14 years ago. I had been told by another plumber that I would have to replace the pipes, including tearing out and replacing bathroom tiling, to fix the problem. Eric, the technician, informed me that because the water pressure was equally low on the cold an hot sides, it is highly unlikely that the hot and cold pipes would corrode equally, so the problem must be in the faucet itself. He took apart the faucet and found hard water deposits inside, chipped away those deposits and the water pressure is now good. No tearing apart walls or tiles... and much cheaper!

They were very responsive and explained the type of work that needed to be done.

He did a great job. It looks wonderful. He showed up on time. I would use him again in the future as well as recommend him to others.
