Uneventful and a bit educational

They are honest and seems pretty qualified. Overall, it is a decent company.

Mr. Jones arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. He was pleasant and willing to answer any questions I had.

They were very good as well. Everything was fine.

It went super, as it always does with Jerry. He worked extra hard to preserve the exterior aesthetics of our home area while maximizing the signal strength. Additonally we troubleshot some issues we were having with our Sonos entertainment system and helped update our iphones and ipads for seemless music delivery anywhere in our home area.

He was quiet, he cleaned up my computer and worked very diligently, he was even able to get here early. He called to confirm first. He got everything fixed and then went on to help me with my Nook Simpletouch Reader. He goes right about his business and is extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

I had a prior phone conversation with Mr. Jerry Jones and discussed what I wanted done and what the approximate cost would be. We set-up a date for the service to be performed. Mr. Jones showed up on time. We again went over what I wanted done and answered any questions/concerns I had. Mr. Jones installed my new all-in-one pc, installed programs, transferred data, and set-up awireless printer for my new pc and laptop. I was very satisfied with the service performed. I would recommend Tech Bachelors to anyone in need of computer services.

I contacted Jerry after reading his great reviews, seeing he was not too far from my location and knowing his prices were very reasonable. My Acer laptop crashed after 2+ years for no reason at all. This happened hours after I loaded my daughter's graduation photos onto it. I do a lot of photography related business and this is a very busy time for me. During my initial contact, despite having a full schedule, Jerry heard my desperation and squeezed me in that day. That made all the difference in the world to me! I really need my computer either fixed or replaced and most importantly I was worried about files that were not yet backed up. Jerry carefully inspected my computer right in front of me. He explained everything that he was doing and looking for. He answered all of my questions. Sadly, as I suspected my laptop was dead. I knew it would eventually happen. The great news is that Jerry was able to rescue all of my files and back them up. He had a perfect brand new replacement laptop that I jumped at the chance to buy! The receipt was right there, no markups. There was certainly no pressure, I could have taken my files and shopped around but to have the luxury of someone right in front of me with so much computer knowledge explain everything was something I wasn't about to pass up. Jerry kept me posted on the progress of the download and estimated finish time. I was expecting a couple days but like I said, from initial call placed to pick up of my new computer it was 24 hours! My new computer is definitely a step up from my old computer at a lesser price than what we paid 2 years ago. I will never go to anyone else, I have my new computer guy! Thank you Jerry!!

Jerry selected a new computer to replace the one I had. He purchased it and brought it to my house for installation. He copied my existing software, added new software, and connected my printer. He ensured everything was up and running before he left and showed me different & better ways of performing different computer operations. Pleased with the results.

On time...not to long great service...nice guy

Jerry was on time, professional, personable , courteous & very informative. In addition to fixing my Lap top, he also provided me w/tips re: computer's functions & advised I call him prior to renewing anti-protection . He was here approximately 45 minutes I was very pleased and am quite comfortable calling him, if I need additonal service. I would definitely refer him to family/friends.

He did very little other than telling me that the problem was serious and could not be fixed. He was here a short time. He seemed to be more interested in having me give him the computer. Bob

Jerry provided prompt, professional service at a fair price, with quick turn-around on short notice. He was careful with my computer and explained every thing he was doing. When my laptop, still under warranty, failed to start up, I needed someone to access my hard drive and back up my files before I sent the computer off to Hewlett-Packard for repair because there was a possibility that my files could be wiped out during the repair process. I needed this work done ASAP so I could get the computer to FedEx, get it fixed and returned to me, since it was the only computer I had. I am new to the Cleveland area, having recently moved from Boston, so I had to rely on Angie's List to find someone to do this work, and that's where I found TechBachelors, owned and operated by Jerry Jones. I called Jerry and left a message about my computer, and he promptly returned my call and said I could bring my computer in that same night. When I got to Jerry's home office he greeted me and showed me into his workshop. When he inspected my laptop he noticed that the cover on the back of the computer was stuck and he was very careful to use the right tools and as little force as possible to remove the cover without damaging it. While this may be a little thing, it speaks to the level of care Jerry takes when he's working - a very good sign. Jerry then removed the hard drive from the laptop, connected it to his computer, downloaded all my files, and transferred the files to an external hard drive I bought that night. This was not a complicated job, but Jerry explained what he was doing every step of the way and I appreciated that he took the time to explain to me what I would need to do to re-install all the files on my computer when I got it back from HP, and offered his continued assistance if I needed it help after my computer was shipped back to me.

Jerry diagnosed both PCs on his first visit. For the PC that was performing slowly with frequent crash and reboot occurrences, he determined there was insufficient RAM memory "headroom" for the OS to perform efficiently (OS was using about 97% of RAM). He installed two malware applications but determined the PC was clean or any serious threats. He then proceeded to remove applications that were not needed (such as multiple virus protection software) and using too many OS resources. He and I went through the list one-by-one, and he never uninstalled an application without my permission. When finished, the OS was using about 50-60% of RAM, and the crash/reboot occurrences stopped. Boots are much faster, and the system runs faster overall. The charge for more than two hours of work was $180. Jerry diagnosed the other PC with the "blue screen" issue and determined that its fatal kernel error could not be corrected. We discussed several options about the PC, and Jerry guided me on cost vs benefit of each. At my direction, he removed both hard drives and took them to his shop for data recovery. He returned two weeks later (since I was on out-of-state business in the interim) with hard drives in hand. About 250 GB of data had been recovered (all my photos, multimedia files, documents, email, favorites ... !!!), and the drives had been wiped with mil-spec software, ready for reinstallation. Jerry had found about 6 serious malware/trojan programs that had somehow gotten past my battery of protection software. Further, Jerry had used his personal 500 GB portable Western Digital hard drive for data recovery, and agreed to sell it to me for a very fair price, so I wouldn't have to reformat my existing portable hard drive for data transfer. Data recovery is very expensive, but Jerry charged $250 for many hours of work, AND this included the cost of a super almost-new hard drive (generally $60 - $90 in itself). Jerry indicated he would address any future questions I would have about reinstalling the Windows OS on the wiped drives. Simply stated, Jerry provided superior service, in a friendly, professional manner. I regard him as trustworthy and effective. His pricing is more than competitive (a bargain in some respects), and I can say that TechBachelors is now my one and only "go to" for IT support. Period. I recommend TechBachelors highly and without reservation!

Jerry quickly identified the problem and corrected it. It was something I could never have done myself. He is always pleasant, punctual and very thorough. As long as he is available, I will never use anyone else for this type of service. I highly recommend this company.

He came to the house at the time he said he would and went right to work on the computer. He asked me what I wanted to keep on the computer and got rid of everything else. He was here about 30 min. I would use him again and I again would DEFINITELY reccommend him to everyone.

Jerry was very professional ans showed up o0n time ane performed his magic in a timely manner. He was patient and never pushed any expensive options. He was available afterwards for phone questions - no charge. We would definietly hire him again.

We needed a new desktop computer and asked Jerry's advice shopping for one. We called him when it arrived and he came to our house to set it up. I have found that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so we wanted a professional to set it up, particularly the security. He did a great job, and we are very happy with it. Jerry has worked for us a few times for various computer issues over the years, and we have been happy with the results. He is very professional, helpful, and responsive.

I found Jerry Jones thru Angie's List. He had outstanding reviews and he wasn't located that far away. My friend, age 82, with diminishing eyesight and hearing uses her computer as a link to the outside world. I explained the situation to Jerry and he and I agreed to meet at her home on the 13th of March at 3:00 PM. Jerry was right on time, very professional and did a great job of explaining to my friend what he had found and what he would do to repair her problem. He very quickly removed the old power supply and replaced it with a new one. He then perfored a tune up on the computer and discoved it was running so slowly because of lack of memory. He installed a new memory board and completed the tune up. I had explained to Jerry when I first called him that money is an issue for my friend and if the problem was extensive, I doubted that she would want to fix it. For all the service that Jerry did, he charged her an unbelievable low fee. He also was very understanding of her lack of evesight and hearing and took the time to explain each step to her, repeating himself, if she didn't hear or understand. In my opinion, Jerry Jones is a very intelligent and compassionate man. I would highly recommend him to all of my friends and anyone else who might ask. After spending time with him, it is very obvious why he has the outstanding recommendations that he has from other users. THANK YOU, JERRY!!!! JOB VERY WELL DONE!!!!!

I have used Jerry several times over the last few years and always look forward to having him help me with my personal and business computer hardware needs. He is a great resource over the phone as well. I can always count on Jerry for an honest opinion on computers, printers, storage management, and network help. The equipment I have gotten through him has been perfect for my needs. I never find that he has "oversold" me on unnecessary equipment. This is as close to having a personal IT Department as anyone not affiliated with a big company can have. I am so glad that I was able to find him on Angie's List almost 4 years ago! I have already set up another appointment with him before June.

It went extremely well. Jerry is extremely competent.He reallly focused on listening to me and providing what I wanted. He is highly tech-savvy and offers options based on his experience. I ended up with an excellent system which is much faster and better than what I had before. I have a double backup system which really was not that expensive. He had been extremely accessable. I have called him with questions which he has answered and solved the little problems one always has with a new system. I have recommeded him to several friends. I also had him come back to discuss my needs for a computer for travel, for a nework extender (we have a failrly large house). He has always been responsive, and offered solutions I have been very happy with.
