Jerry responded in < 1 hour regarding an issue I was having with my internal webcam. After remoting into my PC, he recommended that because of the PC's age I should purchase an external webcam. While still on my PC, he found the specific webcam on Amazon and dropped in my cart. When asked for the charge, he replied "$0.00". Received the webcam today --- problem solved. I would call Jerry for any future computer issues, definitely a great guy.

Jerry Jones, President of TechBachelors, recently fixed our home computer. Our hard drive had died. Jerry came to our home to evaluate the problem. He replaced the broken drive with a new solid state drive. He reloaded all the necessary stuff on the computer and we are happily computing again (took about a week). Well worth the reasonable cost to save our expensive computer. He doesn't just fix computers, but does all sorts of tech stuff. Call him, if you need any kind of tech help. Super efficient.

While we were preparing our 2016 tax returns, we suddenly lost all video output on our five year HP desktop. Mr. Jones of Techbachelors responded to our phone message promptly and came out the same day and found our video card completely dead. He was surprised himself to find that no video card back up was on our motherboard, a rare circumstance he said. With the video card dead, we could see nothing. It could not even be linked to another computer to see and access the data. He suggested that the age of our computer and potential costs did not merit its repair, but recommended a replacement, based on the values out there today on even better technology. This might have been a smart thing to do but it meant that we would lose everything on the computer. But we had an external backup for this, didn't we? Unfortunately, the years of monthly backup through HP had meant nothing because we had not been using our external backup's own program nor a cloud to save. (DO NOT USE YOUR OWN COMPUTER'S BACKUP PROGRAM FOR THIS REASON!.) We were not only looking at hours of redoing our taxes but losing years of photos, videos, and documents. He explained that we could still transfer all of that data which would timely and very expensive but held out hope that he could find a compatible videocard to avoid that. He did. He had squeezed his appointment in with us that day and had others later, but, while stopping at Micro Center for another customer, found a card and took the time to install it and it worked! We were flabbergasted to receive a call later that same night to say the computer was ready. He found the least expensive way to go and accomplished it within a short time. This is the third time that we have used this business. Each time, Jerry Jones has been prompt, professional, thorough, patient, and generous with his knowledge and advice. His hourly prices have increased somewhat since the last time that he came out, but I would not trust anyone else at this point. What price do you put on integrity?

Before I called TechBachelors, I removed all the temporary files I didn't need, programs I wasn't using being given advice as to how to solve the problems, The low disc space error message continued along with not being able to update anything. TechBachelors took care of another problem I had some time ago, so because I wasn't able to fix my now existing problem myself, I called Jerry Jones. He worked on my computer, explained the problem was not what I was told it probably was, so what I was doing was not solving the problem. When he finished, my computer was fixed. Early this morning, my computer was busy updating itself which was something that hadn't happed in quite a while with all the problems I was having. I am so glad I called this computer expert when I did. He is who I use for computer issues and recommend him to anyone needing help.

I have used Jerry Jones of Tech Bachelors several times before, always with the same responsive, highly professional, highly knowledgeable results. In this case I wanted a new laptop. We discussed my uses for it and he translated my non-technical wishes into a high powered laptop which was very reasonable in price for the features I requested. He bought one laptop from a store, found it to be defective and had to return it for another, a process which would probably been a nightmare of time and store doubletalk for me to have figured that out and had it replaced with a good one. He purchased the correct version of Microsoft office for our needs and installed this, along with some antivirus software prior to our appointment. Jerry came for our appointment to our house on time, and without any fanfare, he loaded the other software we needed in stalled, integrated it into our home network, explained Windows 10 to us (my wife and I), and got us started. This required loading a language program we use from a DVD and since he had an external disc drive with him, he did this while troubleshooting some other glitches we had with our existing laptop and network extender. Jerry is highly knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. He charges a reasonable fee for his time. He is quick to answer calls for help and advice over the phone is given and when necessary, he sets up a time to come over. This personalized service from a reliable trustworthy source in worth it to me. It saves me so much aggravation!! We highly recommend him!

I hired Jerry Jones when I needed help after referring to an article I saved that Angie's List published in December 2013 about Techbachelors. I'm glad I did! He was professional, efficient and responsive, and I have confidence in the outcome and next steps.

We never could have done this ourselves. The DVD player needed an alternative way to connect to the internet, and the streaming service was also finicky! But finally, all is working!

We moved to a new house (just 3 miles) and while the Time Warner Cable technicians can perform basic installations, they don't get into the details of how different systems need to work together and were in a rush to get on to the next job. Jerry Jones of TechBachelors solved these types of challenges for us in the past at our previous house so I had no doubt about calling him again. Jerry responded quickly to my voicemail, was eager to find a reasonable time that fit our schedule, and arrived on time as he always has with us. This is at least the fourth time we've called Jerry (TV system, computer Wi-Fi, new laptop and printer) and Jerry performed as in the past. He asks clear questions to understand the problem, he looks things over to get an idea of what may be needed, and then he describes what he thinks the fixes may be before proceeding. He always explains things with patience with the intent of helping us, the customer, understand. Jerry then proceeded to make the changes, some hook-up/wire connection changes, some menu-driven TV, cable, and DVR setting "programming" changes. Before leaving, Jerry ran through all of the challenges we had been having to make sure everything worked the way we wanted them to, he fully explained again what he did until we were comfortable, and provided suggestions if we wanted to get some other features from Time Warner Cable (like a incoming cable box that would show information about the programs we were watching - we had only the basic box).

He saw the problems right away and set about fixing them, explaining what he was doing as he went along. He was professional, knowledgeable, and quick. He had my computer back in good working order in no time, and his price was reasonable, too. I recommend him highly and would absolutely use his services again.

Jerry Jones of TechBachelors is THE go-to guy for computer or laptop setup or repair. He knows what he's doing, doesn't waste anyone's time, and gets the job done right. I've used him for repairing old work-provided laptops and for setting up a personal laptop. He's worth everything he charges. Today my personal laptop went black, locked up, and didn't show the desktop screen with icons. Jerry and I talked on the phone, he asked me a couple questions, and made some suggestions. Even though I did not end up taking my computer to techbachelors, I was very happy with the advice that I received when I contacted them through Angie's List. With J's advice, I was able to retrieve the data I was seeking from my failing computer.

It was great! I have used Jerry Jones (Techbachelors) before and had excellent service every time. This time my Modem was overheating and kept turning off. The 5 port switch was also defective (probably damaged by lightning) . I called him. He came out the next day bringing a new modem and switch. He quickly verified my modem and switch were bad and replaced both with new ones. This required calling Time Warner since they need to authorize a new modem before it will work (who knew?). He did all this very efficiently, including verifying that my computer and laptop function properly in my home network. He is extremely reliable, knowledgeable and professional. I have used him in the past and just like on previous visits over the years, he has taken care of the problem. The charge was quite reasonable for coming to my house and spending all most an hour here, not to mention having picked up a new modem and switch for me the day before! (the above charge was the service. The modem and switch I simply reimbursed him for what he paid at the store).
