Precision Overhead Garage Door

They did a very good job, and I am very happy with their service. They came out, checked it, and they came back with all the right pieces and parts, and the job was done. They were personable and kind, their quality of work and material was very good, and their price was fine.

They were prompt and professional. The price was reasonable. Their quality is top notch. They came out the same day set everything up and came back one day later and did the job. They show up on time.

They came within two hours when we called for emergency service - exactly when they said that they would come and they finished within ten minutes.

Called on Sunday morning and asked if a technician could be sent that day - spring on garage door had broken and a car was in the garage. Was given a time - the technician arrived early (called first to make sure it was okay) and reviewed the problem, then explained options. Work was completed within an hour of arrival.

When I called and asked for it I told them I needed someone to come out after five because my daughter works until five. The man came at four o'clock. He said he could not stay that long. He said that he would leave the estimate for my daughter to look at. The estimate was over $500 more than another company, so we decided not to go with them. I was very unhappy with the whole thing.

They were very good. I was pleased with the man, he was very nice, helpful, and very honest. I didn't feel like he was just trying to get money out of me and I really appreciated it.

At 5:30pm on a Friday evening, my garage door refused to stay closed. I did not want to leave it open all night. When I called Precision, they sent a technician, Dominic, who called before he came and arrived within 30 minutes of my original call. He did not have the part that was needed, but he went back to the company to obtain it and was back in 15 minutes. Fortunately, his company is right around the corner from my house. I was very pleased with his excellent service.

They showed up earlier than expected. They did not leave a mess. The work was good and I was impressed with their timing and the turn around. I would call them if I needed them in the future.

The guy that was going to come out called and told me he was too tired and he offered a better deal on parts and labor, I told him I only needed a spring. If I can come tomorrow , he said, I will give you the best deal on parts, etc.., so he wanted to come at 8:00 am and I said that was too early to please come at 10:00 am. I waited until 10:30 am and I called since no one has been here. The receptionist said I was on a service schedule from noon to 2:00 pm. Jeff, the owner, is going to come and I said I did not talk to him last night. I said I would call someone else. The receptionist said wait, I can have Jeff come to your home in 10 minutes. So, Jeff, the owner, came and told me the other guy was only with us for 2 weeks and he was going to let him go. He then looked at the spring that needed replacement and it would be $500.00 and I said there is no way, he then said $350.00. I told him to leave and told Jeff to leave that this should not be that cost since I have had this done 3 or 4 times before in the last 25 years and it was never that high of a price! I had to call another company. The coupon says no extra charge for nights and weekends, but when they eventually got someone out here, they wanted to charge $500.00. With those prices I would not recommend calling them and I would say to Angie's List to take their coupon out of the publication. This was a horrible experience and they are a company who over charges the customer. The receptionist was unaware of the Angie's List coupon of $39.00 service call and I also stated it was in the Yellow Pages, she asked me to tell her the page number and once she saw the ad in the yellow pages, she stated she would honor the coupon.

Our experience was great from start to finish. Our technician Al, was very professional when he arrived for service call. He was very tactful and nice when telling us our 6 year old garage door was unsafe and needed to be replaced. He ordered the door and called us to set up the installation date as soon as the door came in, one week later. He installed the new door and it looks and works great. We could not be more pleased. I would recommend them to anyone.

The service guy was incredible. He was prompt, professional, and answered all our questions. He also was wonderful to our toddler too! He kept apologizing for not being able to do more and said that as he was already in the area, he wouldn't charge us. We talked about what to do about the door in the future and he gave us some wonderful and knowledgeable advice about all our options. We had the same problem last year and that company we used did the minimum work involved and were in a hurry to leave. It was like night and day between the two companies. From now on, I will only go to the best - Precision Door - for whatever garage door problem we have. And when we need a new one, they'll get that job too!!!

Trying to sell house and the garage door opener broke, we had a home warranty and they suggested we replace the garage door. This company did a great job, gave us what we wanted and at a low price.

I called Jim at 6:30 a.m., he had Brian at my home by 10:00 a.m. as promised. Brian did a evaluation of the garage door and gave me his recommendation. He explained my options in layman terms. I chose my option. Brian said it would take about one and a half hours. When Brian finished the job, he explain what he had done and gave me some good tips on garage door maintenance. Brian was a great person and a great technician. Brain made sure everything was cleaned up, I paid him, and he departed. Great company!

Very fast, courteous service. Done in under 1.5 hours. Came on a Sunday for no extra charge.

They came out to fix the door and came on time. They did not charge me for the service as I had used their service in December of 2006 to repair the cables, rollers, and springs.

The tech was prompt, efficient and pleasant. He cleaned up well and recommended services that made our garage door quieter. This pleased us.

I called Precision Door after I tried for half a day to get the company that actually installed the door to answer their phone. (I never did get in touch with them!) I called Precision at 2:00, was given a same day window between 3:30-5:30. The guys showed up at about 4:00 and were done in 20 minutes. They were very personable. I would definitely call them again! (Hopefully I won't have to!)

HE WAS PROMPT, DID THE WORK QUICKLY AND THE DOOR HAS BEEN FINE EVER SINCE. HE ALSO EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THAT HE DID BEFORE HE DID IT.

My garage door simply stopped working one day. Since I had such great service with Precision Door when I bought my new garage door, I called them for help. They were out the very next day and replaced the gears on the spot--no later appointment needed. And the price was very reasonable. The contractor was helpful, friendly and informative. I will definitely use them again!

They came out and were very professional. They charged a flat fee for service. Although he was not able to fix the problem, he did give us a break on his service call charge. He offered to install any type of garage door opener from any other company. No hidden fees or hidden costs. I like precision door!!!

Jeffrey was on time, explained things to me patiently, and seemed to be very thorough checking out the whole door situation and safety. He lubricated a bunch of parts on the door, checked the alignment of different parts, adjusted the opener itself so the door would run more smoothly, and also to correct the problem we had called about. He also addressed other issues I thought of as he was there, such as programming an additional remote, fixing a button for the opener whose wire had come disconnected, and putting safety cables on the springs (that part was his idea). I would have like to have known the price of the additional parts as we added them (I could also have asked and he could have offered the info) as I was surprised at how much they were. I called the next day after checking into the cable prices a little and the price charged had been too much. They checked into it and the refund for the difference was in the mail the same day. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Four weeks after ordering my new garage doors, I called to see when they would be installed, since I was told it would be three weeks. They called me back and said they had misplaced my order and the doors would arrive in two more weeks (six weeks after ordering).

Very knowledgeable and thorough. Ready to meet my request immediately. My overall experience was grade "A". I will definitely use this company again.

Precision came out to look at my garage door as I noticed that the door "jumped" as it opened in the morning and it was very noisy. As the house is only 3 years old, I suspected that the door needed to be only serviced. However, the technician advised me that the door should have a complete overhaul, as the parts were either worn or of lesser quality. I agreed. Most of the parts on the door were replaced and a center bearing mounting plate was added. In the end, the door is very quiet, it does not "jump" anymore, and the work was performed efficiently and professionally. The technician was very friendly and eager to help. I have to admit that the cost was much higher than I originally thought it would be, but I did not know of the work that needed to be performed. Overall, except for the price, I am very happy with the work performed and the way in which it was completed.
