Precision Overhead Garage Door

We were not satisfied. We understood that it would take up to eight weeks for the door to come in. It did and it was installed , but there was a wrong door trim color and that took about a month to come. I had to keep calling the company. We were told that the measurement was not quite level with the concrete, but they would put an extra piece of weather stripping in. That was never done although Al came and said that his job was to make sure that the customers were satisfied and happy. He came and put in a new keyhole that Paul had taken out, which he had not asked whether he should. We needed that key hole in case our car door openers don’t work. So, a new keyhole had to be ordered and that took weeks. And to this day, after several calls to Al, no weather stripping was put down. Paul said he would do it, but it never got done—we were later told that it is not their e responsibility to make it level and touch the cement. So, we have a space between the door and the cement. I did, by mistake, block their calls, but when I realized, I had a call with Brad, the manager, and he said he would send someone out which was Al. I would not recommend this company. I had to keep calling for the things to be done and finished. They promised things they did not do and they took out something they should not have taken out—and there were too many people to deal with. Just glad the door is working. Sorry we went with that company, should have waited for the other company we spoke with.

Our garage door wasn’t opening and we couldn’t get our cars out. I was able to call on a Sunday to set up an appointment on Monday morning. The repair was quick and the garage door works great now.

Appointment was made quickly and easily. Technician John was punctual, professional and quickly diagnosed my garage door opener issue and made the replacement. New opener is excellent. John showed us how to use it and cleaned up all of his gear and the old parts. New opener is so much quieter than my old one and includes features like wi-fi access and upgraded keypad.

This is a supplemental review concerning the warranty service call to check on the unusual clicking noise. The technician came and checked out the problem. At the time of this call I was informed that this company's policy is that a service call during warranty is not covered under their warranty, and that "a service call fee may apply." If I had been aware of this policy at the time of purchase, I would not have done business with this company.

I recently had a garage door opener and garage door installed by Precision Door. Prior to the order and installation, I was assured 3 times by Brad, operating manager, that the new garage door would open high enough so that I could open the door of my new hatchback. After installation, that is not the case. He sent a tech who told me that it would be too difficult to make changes now and that the garage door opener should have been installed higher. His solution was that I should back my car into the garage. He also told me that the new garage door was “rubbing” and should be fixed. Seven calls and 2 emails to Brad have been ignored. I would definitely not refer them.

John Franks of Precision Door gave me options of repairing or replacing my faulty garage door opener. Due to the age I decided to replace. He was very professional and did a great job.

Paul B. came by today to perform some repairs on the garage door - replaced both springs, rollers, cables, drums and such. He was very fast and efficient ... got the job done safely and was very helpful in answering any questions I had about his work or future repair recommendations. Highly recommended service!

I was very pleased with the service. They actually called because they had an earlier opening and that worked out even better for me. He was very professional and even gave some helpful suggestions. I would definitely recommend this company.

They came very fast. They were extremely careful and polite. They gave me a time frame from 10 am to 2 pm. They came early than that.

Service was done properly and repairman maintained social distancing as required by state shutdown rules during COVID19 outbreak. He also installed new rollers, and aligned door which made it open and close much smoother.

John was able to get the door open and I had him put on a handle for me to open easier.

We agreed that the technician could come early. He worked very professionally and efficiently and we are pleased with the result.

5 star service! Anthony Wise the technician that did the installation came early and finished early. He thoroughly explained my options and the scope of installation. He programmed everything and made sure that I understood how everything worked. Check this out...I had about 8 boxes of Christmas decorations in the garage that needed to be put in the attic. After finishing the job he helped me put them all in the attic. I would recommend them to everyone. Thanks for such great service.

I am blown away by the incredible service we received from Paul with Precision Door. Within 30 minutes of reporting problems with our garage door, Paul arrived. He quickly diagnosed the problem, came equipped with the replacement parts, and completed the work within an hour, On top of all that, Paul is professional, personable, and a generally nice guy. My garage door opener suddenly stopped working due to a broken belt on a Friday afternoon. I found Precision Door on Angie's list and other than its A rating, I really appreciated the Saturday hours. I was able to call and setup an appointment for the next day! John Gilles was our technician . He called ahead and showed up on time. He took the time to explain our options to us and finished the job exactly when he said he would. I really appreciated the fact that he had brought extra opener units with him so that we had many options. After the installation, he explained all the nifty new features and was on his way, leaving my garage better than he found it. From beginning to end, Precision made this process easy and convenient! I highly recommend them!

I'm happy with the result. Zoran came out first, and got my old door open by drilling out the broken emergency key release. He explained everything he was doing so that I understood how doors work. The old wood door was about 60 years old, and warped. The rails were old and damaged. The opener was a few decades old, and kaput. I had pretty much decided to buy a new door before Zoran even came out. He examined the old stuff, and gave me some options on replacement doors. I chose one I wanted, and they ordered it for me. Joe came out about 3 weeks later and installed the new door. Joe also explained what he was doing, and how to properly care for the new door. Both Joe and Zoran are excellent door guys. They know what they are doing, explain things well, and are friendly. My new door works good, and I am a happy customer. I now know how to maintain garage doors properly, and what to do in an emergency. I would hire them again.

Based on the information I provided to the company, they were able to fix my problem through email. Their response was prompt and tremendously helpful. I would definitely use this company in the future.

John came out on Saturday 6/29 and diagnosed the problem quickly. It turned out that the eye sensor wires were not making contact and he was able to reset the electric wire connectors. It has worked fine since then. He also provided additional assessment of the garage door opener and said everything else look pretty good.

It did not go well. The person that arrived was Jeff Oly They came out and kept adding costs to things that needed to be done. I just wanted the roller repaired and they kept trying to sell me a new door.They said they do not do repairs and only replace doors. This is contrary to what they told me when I called them. I talked to them twice about this. It went from a $20 repair to a $3000 estimate. The door was not in need of replacement and I did not hire them to do any work. I felt like this was a classic bait and switch and I will absolutely not call them back again.

I came home at 7PM on a cold, winter night to find the garage door would not close and the opener just vibrated. I called Precision Overhead Garage Door after seeing their rating on Angie's List. The list did not disappoint! I couldn't believe it when the dispatcher told me there was no extra fee for coming at night and that someone would be there between 8 and 10 that night! Anthony arrived shortly thereafter and was so pleasant and informative. He explained what had happened to the motor and suggested replacing it, and I agreed. Within 90 minutes we had a new, ultra quiet and smooth Liftmaster garage door opener, as well as new rollers on the garage door. Anthony also oiled the hinges on the door. Anthony provided fabulous service.

Extremely pleased that Precision Door was available on a Saturday afternoon and that they were able to do all work that day on a heavy old garage door from the 1960s. Paul was professional, prompt, friendly and provided us insight into the door and garage door opening system that we have. Because of the age of the door and all workings we opted to have Paul "rebuild" the workings of the door allowing us to keep the look of the original door. No grade given with respect to price as we did not shop around and have no idea how their prices compare to those of competitors.
