Precision Overhead Garage Door

Service provider arrived on time and assessed the door. It requires much more work than a tuneup. The prepaid costs were returned.

The problem with door is fixed. The company has a website with photos of the technician that will be coming out for your appointment, but then it will be another person that comes for the appointment. Before they came we told them the size, make, and model of our garage door so that they would be able to help with our specific keypad since it wasn’t working. When they came out though, they did not that the parts that pertain to my door. They had to order those and then had to make a second visit on a second day. When that gentleman came out, I felt that his main purpose was to sell us a new door. They are very professional, on time, but personally I don’t care for their sale approach. The door works fine now though and they did everything I asked them to do. They even helped with new car remotes too. I would recommend them, no question, but I do still have some thoughts on their office protocol and email procedure.

When I came home later on Monday, Feb 2nd, when I opened my garage door, it went at an angle and stopped. I had just received a new little magazine from Angie's List and looked up a repair company and found "Precision" located in Garfield Hts., Ohio. Since I have used Angie's List before with great success, I called them. The technician came out the next day. He, Bill Adamini, was very friendly and explained everything to me. He replaced the broken cables and performed other maintenance services. I am VERY, VERY pleased with the technician and the service he provided including the cost. I HIGHLY recommend "Precision" and will use their services in the future.

came on time. did the work nice person they wanted the printed angies List coupon, which I didn't have printed. I gave him the info on my phone which seemed to work. he gave me a little information about my particular opener and he adjusted a few things to make it not so sensitive. overall good job done!

Very prompt and courteous. Originally quoted $608.00 for the work then was charges $673.00. Was told when we called we would get Angies discount and mentioned when service showed up but after reviewing bill - no discount. I think if you do not need service right away you can get a much better deal calling a few others for quotes first. 1-24-15 Supplier did refund the amount of the Angies list discount today.

The opener wasn't working right. There was a few times I would have to disconnect the opener so I could get the door open. They fixed the opener and serviced the door. We also bought a service contract from them and it wasn't cheap but we thought if we have problems in the future then they would come and fix it. Being that our garage door is as old as it is or even our house which is almost 13 years old. It is the same garage door opener and figured if we could get a few more years out it, it would be worth that money.

Repair person arrived on time and proceeded to diagnose the problem which I gave permission to fix. I knew the power garage door rollers were worn out. I wouldn't use again because they are too expensive but this was an emergency.

I think it was a waste of money. I feel this is a bait and switch program. They were suppose to send me a quote and never did.

Everything went fine happy with the job that was done. I asked for a quote on adjusting our rear garage door which he gave me which i thought was reasonable. My only complaint was he did not have any litheium grease to lubercate the door opener. I thought i had some and when i find it i will lubercate the opener. He did explain how to do it so it will not drip on the car and the frequency it should be done. In the spring i will use them on the rear door.

.Came out on the coldest night of the year with only an hour wait after I called in for an appointment around 7pm. They came with the proper replacement parts and finished the job in a bout an hour. Will was thorough, professional and friendly.

They were able to schedule a same-day service call. Will arrived on time, inspected the door, and replaced the broken piece. He also balanced the door and ensured everything was working properly. Will was friendly and helpful.

I called at around 8:15am and was told someone would be out between 11am-2:00pm. I received a call at 10:10am from the technician saying he would be out in 20 minutes. He arrived in 15 minutes and was cordial and friendly with his greeting and then proceeded to evaluate the door and gave 3 recommendations. He was done in 1 hr. He explained what he had done and we paid him and he left. He gave us his business card and said if we needed any further assistance to contact him. Very timely, professional and complete service . I would recommend them to any of my family and friends.

our garage door opener broke on Thursday and by the next day the technician came out and replaced out old opener. He completed the work within 40 mins. and then took the time to go over the instructions as well as the warranty.

Bill came out to help me program out Genie brand opener. I had already spent hours on my own on the phone with the local Genie office and with Genie Customer Support. Techs at the local Genie office tried to help but didnt think they'd be able to figure out the opener programming issues even if they came out themselves. They pushed me over to the customer support number who was of little help as well. I thought our Genie opener was good but I was wrong. Bill came out and also explained the opener's programing being an issue for him in the past. Precision Door had worked on our door at our first house so I knew they did good work. I had Bill replace the opener all together and he did a GREAT job and was very detail oriented to get the door as perfect as it could be.

One of the cables on our garage door walked off of the pulley and wrapped itself around the torsion bar. I called a few garage door companies on Angie's List and selected Precision Door because they were able to schedule me in earlier than the others, plus they were offering a $39.95 discounted service call. They gave me a 3 hour window in which they would come to make the repair. Ryan, the door tech, called me that afternoon and scheduled me for the first part of that window. He actually arrived a few minutes early and took the time to evaluate my door and explain to me how it had failed. I have a Wayne-Dalton door. The original installer had to put a garage door opener bracket off center because of the location of my opener. It wasn't as strong as the factory installed bracket and had developed a crack. Ryan was able to reinforce it with a length of metal angle. It's not an attractive fix, but it should do the trick and there's really not any other option. Plus, its on the inside so it doesn't detract from the outside view of the door. He also checked the other components of the door and lubed the opener track. He was finished in less than an hour and got my door back to functioning. He also informed me that there was a one year guarantee on his work.

They did a great job and the price was good.

Tech came on time and did the job and gave me recommendations for future maintenance. Was not pushy. Would use again in the future.

They were one of 3 service providers I contacted from Angies List. I was impressed with their responsiveness and accommodation to my availability. The technician that came out, Ryan, was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain operational issues with my door to me. I also ended up purchasing a set of lift cables and new weatherstripping on the door as there was a few inches gap on the one side. I was unsatisfied with the weatherstripping install as instead of having a couple inch gap on the one side of the two-car garage door, I had about a half inch gap all along the bottom of half of the door. So they promptly sent a second technician out to work on it but without success. I got the impression after he spent some time working on it that he just wanted me to "live with" the result, because he couldn't figure out how to fix it. But I was persistent they sent out the first technician, Ryan and he had it resolved it very quickly. I could've given them a lower rating because of the inconvenience of the two additional visits but at the end of the day, the fact that they followed through until I was satisfied was most impressive. How many service providers these days would do that?

The service was excellent. Precision Overhead contacted me ahead of time with the name of the technician as well as a picture of him, and a small biography. Along with that was information on their other technicians on the chance that there would be a change in technicians. Anthony was my technician and he was excellent. He was on time, was organized, friendly, and accommodating to any questions. He even invited me to stay and observe his work. When finished he showed me how to oil the rollers for regular maintenance. I could not have been more pleased with the service. This was a very good experience. I would definitely use Precision Overhead Garage Door again.

The service went very well. Matt explained what was needed and we discussed options. I selected the option that I wanted and he performed the service in about one hour. He put 2 new springs and new rollers on one single car garage door, and lubricated both single car garage doors.
