Precision Overhead Garage Door

The technician , Will, did a thorough inspection of the door from the hardware to the opener. There was actually several problems with the door, the rollers, torsion springs. Will offered a quote to repair the door. We went with one of 2 options which would fix the door from only closing part way before automatically retracting. He had the door repaired in a timely manner. After the repair Will went over the repair and operated the door several times. Will was professional and courteous. Later the same day (evening) the door would not close, it was operating the same as before the repair. I called Will ( the tech) the next morning and explained the issue, he asked that I call the office to schedule a service call. I called Precision's office and they scheduled Will out the same day within hours of my phone call. Will called me 30 minutes before his arrival to inform me he was on his way. He went went over all the sensors of the door and even replaced the safety sensors thinking those where faulty ( free of charge per his supervisor) since he felt he should of caught that on his initial repair. The door still did not function properly it was closing only part way before retracting automatically. After much diagnostic Will came to the conclusion the circuit board was faulty within the overhead unit. He felt he should of caught that earlier and offered a sincere apology, but I understand that electronics can be somewhat tricking at times. He offered the solutions to repair the opener, either replace the circuit board, which those are somewhat costly or replace the entire overhead opener. Since it was 15 yrs old the prudent thing was to replace the entire opener. Will called his supervisor in regards to the quote and they offered us a substantial discount as a customer service gesture due to fact they believed they should of caught the problem on the initial repair. We went with the repair. This is the type of service I expect from a company, they went above and beyond to make certain we were very satisfied. You can't ask anymore from a reputable business. We used precision garage door at our old house about 10 years ago when a spring broke. They overhauled our door then. We moved to our current home and a year ago they replaced the garage opener after we had a few minor issues with it. Then a couple days ago my wife was stranded at home unable to leave due to a broken door spring. They responded quickly to the call and had a technician out an hour before the appointment (not a problem at all). They assessed the door and being that we hate headaches from things that break, we opted to overhaul the door and get a warranty to cover the work. They work so quickly and everything was done very well. They have great customer service and Anthony was professional and also friendly. We are lifetime customers! THANKS!

Everything went great. Anthony was very professional. First of all, they sent an email when the appointment was scheduled with the name and photo of the gentleman that would be doing the service call. They gave us a two hour window in which they would come. They called before they showed up and they did so on time. The work was done quickly and he did a great job.

It turned out fine. They delivered what we asked for. They should keep doing what they are doing. The price would make it an A. The price could have been a little bit cheaper.

That was fine. They came out and did what they were supposed to do. It was fine. I think they were there on time. I'm not really sure. I think they were kind of pushing a brand new garage instead of addressing the issue that was there.

This was a big deal purchase. I think Precision is a scam, quite honestly. I think the whole thing is a scam. They came and without even looking wanted to sell me more. It was just a tune up and they were telling me I needed an entire replacement. I told them no and they said okay, they would change the rollers. It seemed like it took him five minutes and there are 20 rollers on the garage door. I can't imagine he changed all the rollers. The whole situation seemed odd. Even though I paid $99 I know I would never do business with them again. My garage door is less than 10 years old. I believe he said a spring needed to be replaced.

It went well, they were professional, informative, and fast.

Arrived on time. Performed the tune up work and replaced rollers per offer. Did some extra bolt tightening. Did a thorough job explaining the condition of the garage door and recommended work.

He made adjustments. Said they'd actually installed the door and will come do it for free whenever I need them.

John Franks of Precision Door was a life savor during the holiday weekend period when many places were closed. We called precision door at 3:50 PM on Saturday, the day after Christmas, to ask them to fix our door operator which had just quit operating. They had a repairman out to our house at 5:30 PM. John Franks was very professional. He did a complete safety check and pointed out that our door operator had worn out after 15 years but also that we a broken spring, that I did not notice, and two cable wheel bearings that were wearing out. I understood what John was saying because I am quite familiar with ball bearings and their raceways and cable wheels and cable due to our line of work. I authorized John, to due a complete rebuild which included 2 new springs, two cable reels, a third bearing between the two springs, all new commercial cable, lubricating the door rollers and a heavy duty surge master garage door opener and rebalancing our garage door. John worked on this rebuild for 5 hours and 15 minutes due to difficulties in balancing our garage door. I admire John's professionalism as he stuck to it until it was right.

Service here was fantastic. Our garage door broke on Christmas Eve and Precision had someone here the day after Christmas. Paul, the service provider, was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He showed me what was going on and what needed to be done. I felt completely comfortable with his analysis and recommendations. Once we figured out what needed to be done, he was able to complete the entire job in a matter of about two hours. Our garage door works like a charm now and is very quiet. I would use Precision again and I'd ask for Paul for sure.

The service was alright. I was satisfied with it. He did something else and we paid a couple hundred extra and the thing doesn’t work as it should. I really wish my garage door would work. I would tell a friend to find somebody else.

It went excellent. They gave me a schedule with approximate time. The technician called and let me know he was on his way. I received an email from the company with a picture of all the technicians so I would know they were legitimate. They had a badge with an ID #. They were very professional. Clean up was good. The technician's name was Ryan Freeman. I would recommend them highly.

My garage door started having issues after they came out. There were no additional charges. He didn't even come touch base with me before he left. I was on a conference call at home when he came. But he didn't even attempt to come talk to me before he left. He just did the work and left. I started having issues with my garage door. I can't even use my garage door opener anymore. It worked before and then after he came, it stopped working. So, it's kind of coincidental.

Great! Came out on short notice. New door is whisper quiet.

Chris arrived soon after his courtesy call and finished tuning up and replacing the garage door hardware. He was able to get my door ship-shape in definitely less than an hour for something that would have taken my half-a-day and then I might still not get it right. It was more than I wanted to pay, but I will admit that it saved me a whole lot of time and was done right, so I do feel I got a lot of value. They are a professional shop and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others.

It went very well. The installer explained what the problem was with the door and exactly how he would repair it. I also knew in advance what the total repair cost would be. I was very happy with the technician. He was prompt ,polite and very through.

Sent a note through Angie's List. Scheduled appointment over phone promptly and showed up and performed the work as expected.

The Team of Will (who explained everything to me) all the way to the ladies who answer the phone, where so professional,polite, friendly. To the installer (Ryan) who installed a complete door, extra heavy duty spring, etc. by himself!!! It only took Him less that 2 hrs.!! He was incredible, and the whole experience with Precision Door was great. It humbled me that a company exist that won't badger you, won't intimidate you, but is very honest, and true to their word. There work was spotless, they cleaned up and removed the old door. If there was a grade other than the highest being a 10 it would have to me "infinity". These guys and this Company are the greatest and they give 110% to please the customer and make sure things are done right, and the customer is satisfied. The "tune up" did not resolve any issues. I called another company for a second opinion and they came out and adjusted the side wheels and the garage worked fine. I felt this "special tune up" was just a gimmick to sell me a new garage door and it wasn't tuned up.

Arrived on time. The Tech was knowledgeable, efficient and personable. He completed the task quickly and cleaned up completely. He did try to sell extra services which I did not accept. Overall a fine but expensive job.
