Precision Overhead Garage Door

Pretty well. It needed a couple brackets beyond what was included in the offer. The door opens very smoothly and is balanced.

They got the door operational again and said it could last a few months, but they recommended replacing the panel eventually. They even lubed my third door. All or free. the door panel replacement is expensive, but with the service level these guys provide I know it will be installed right..

My garage door had a broken tension spring on it and needed repaired and reconditioning. I called Precision Garage Door today and was given an appointment the same day. The technician arrived at the appointment time. He evaluated the garage and explained what needed repaired and reconditioned. He showed me parts as her replaced and the ware on the parts. Will Coad was very professional and courteous. The price was more then expected but their is a lifetime warranty. I would use their services again.

We were thoroughly impressed by the good job that Precision Garage did on the tune up. Showed up on time, was very professional and made suggestions for improvements that I requested.

Our garage door had given us problems off and on for several years, and finally on Fathers' Day the rollers came out of the tracks and it wouldn't move. The next day I called, and Jim came out to give an estimate that afternoon. He was very helpful, explaining what we had, and our options for a replacement door. It was tricky to take the measurements since the door could neither be raised nor lowered (the garage has no other entrance and he had no tools). Also the door opening wasn't rectangular, so Jim applied his experience to order a door size that would fit. When the door came in, the job was scheduled for several days later. Tim, the installer, did the job. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. He explained why the previous door had failed, and showed me what was done to make the door work properly in the odd-sized opening. He showed me how to open the door when there is no electricity, then explained again so I could take notes. When my husband and I unloaded the garage, Tim heard us discussing disposal of a shelf that had been fastened to the wall. He removed it from the wall, broke it up, and hauled it away for us, saving us the hassle. Both Jim and Tim were wonderful. It was a good experience all around, and door looks great and runs smoothly!

This is the second time I have used Precision and I would not use anyone else. They are reliable and competent .

They could not fix it because the door is an older style "kick-out" garage door. I am still waiting for my refund.

I made an appointment for a Friday between 12:00 and 2:00. I received a call 30 minutes prior to arrival from the Service Technician, Dave. One Dave arrived and I presented him with my Angie's List Deal and explained what I had been experiencing with the door, Dave got right to work. After completing the tune-up and roller replacement, Dave explained what he had found and what my options were to fix the issues. I could have chosen from two options since I did not need a new door opener. I chose the "best" option which included replacing two springs, cables, pulleys, & boxes- basically everything but the door track. The "best" option comes with a lifetime warranty, whereas the "good" option only came with a 3-year warranty. Dave again got right to work and completed the job quickly. He was very pleasant and professional. I felt no pressure in making my decision on which service to have him complete. This was a great experience using Precision Overhead Garage Door! Thanks Dave!!

Tony was very professional and explained everything to me (new homeowner - i know nothing - so I appreciate it when people let me grill them for info!). Obviously, they are trying to sell customers on additional work, but Tony did give me the pros and cons of all my options and did not pressure me to do anything more drastic than I wanted to take on, and I think his recommendations were generally good - the garage is just not my top priority as long as it is safe. I appreciated that they honored the angies list deals for the service I did not anticipate I would need (rollers) and I felt that overall that this was a fair price for the work done, based on the other deals on angie's list and some googling. The total work took about 1.5 hours.

First of all, I would like to commend this company for being super professional and one that is actually open almost 24/7. Our service person was Paul. He showed up between the time frame as promised. I wasn't expecting him to be able to do anything immediately due to the time of day (I was told he would come between 9pm and 11pm). It was no rush really I just dented my garage door while backing out and it wouldn't close. Paul showed up at around 10. Diagnosed the condition of the garage door and showed me how my springs were shot probably by no fault of me backing my car into it.. Showed me 3 pricing option and provide his recommendation. Thank you very much. The job was completed before 11 and my garage door closes again without the popping sound I used to hear! Great Job!!

Everything went as planned. Tech was very polite and courteous and explained what he was doing.

Paul, the technician was very good. He was very informative and provided a quality service.

Will called before he arrived, and was even earlier than our scheduled appointment. He took the time to explain everything to me, and reviewed the door and mechanisms in-depth before providing three separate estimates. He was quick, thorough, and professional - and I would definitely call on Precision again.

The spring on my garage door broke. There were there within a few hours. The technician inspected the garage door and gave me 3 recommendations and estimates. 1) Short Term - to replace the spring 2) Better- to replace that and the roller, cables, bearings plates and drums on the door 3) Best - to add a new garage door opener to all the above I told him the garage door had been noisy and asked if the garage opener was partly the cause of it. He said yes and that the Liftmaster was extremely quiet and better than the Genie. I decided to my regret to go with his best recommendation and have the new garage door opener installed. I recently had a Genie installed at another house and I may have been content with the Liftmaster if I did not have that to compare to it. You literally can barely hear the Genie. The Liftmaster whines. The Genie remotes are small and sturdy. The Liftmaster remotes are large and cheap looking. The Liftmaster is made by Champion. I looked a Champion up at Costco and it had all the bells and whistles for $390 also with a lifetime warranty. The LIftmaster cost me $699. $309 more. I showed this to the tech and he said they would charge about $200 to install something like that but would not guarantee it. My advice, let them fix your door but take your time and shop for a garage door opener. With everything that was wrong with my door, fixing it would have quieted it down and allowed me to shop for a quality garage opener, instead of being stuck with this Liftmaster.

My garage door would not open. It would go up about 2 feet and stop. So I called Precision Door Service. I found them on Angie?s List. They are highly rated. I called them on Mon. (2/15) and made an appointment for Tuesday from 4-6 PM. I got home at 4, and the tech was already there. He looked over the door and the opener. He could tell from the sound of the garage door the something was binding. He gave me estimates for 3 levels of service: short term ($304.95), better ($828.95), and best ($1338). I chose the cheapest, and it solved the problem. He put in new rollers, did a lube and calibration, adjusted the opener chain and settings. He also inspected everything and gave me an evaluation and recommendation summary. He got done a little before 5. I used an Angie?s List coupon (-25.05).

He tried to upsell me. I was not impressed and even at $89, I felt it was simply a ploy to get more business that I didn't need.

I actually could not make it home in time for the first appointment they offered me! I met our repair man Dave after work, and he arrived right on time and gave excellent service. Very thorough explanation, and he really made sure I had no questions. The repair was done very well, and he cleaned the work area. Dave was completely trustworthy, they are the only company I will trust going forward. I went back and forth on an A or a B on price, but in the end it is more important to pay for VALUE than straight cost. The parts installed and the level of service justify what may be a slightly higher cost. How much less would I have paid for suit optimal parts and service? (answer nothin less)

Dave came out a day after we called because our garage door would not open. He was kind, professional, and did a fantastic job fixing our garage door opener. We ended up having to buy a whole new opener, it was a little more expensive then we thought it would be but it comes with a warranty. I would use this company again.

The repairman was very knowledgeable of his trade. He effortlessly installed the two door cables. We discussed the fact that the door didn't seat properly on the floor.........the concrete floor was higher in the middle. So, Bill installed an over sized bottom seal to compensate for the floor problem. He did an excellent job. He cleaned up before he left. My garage door is back to it's old self.

I contacted Precision Door for a service call even though I had a maintenance contract with "Sears". The reason that I contacted them was my chain came off the socket on top of my door unit, which later I found out broke off the unit. The weather was cold and snowy and Sears could not come out until the following week, which at the time seemed to be a long wait. In my hesitate to have the unit fixed, I was willing to pay extra for a repair. They came quickly when I contacted them and I had a $10.00 certificate from Angies list for a service call to help reduce the cost of repair. The service rep looked at my problem and told me because my unit was so old (25 yrs) that he did not have the parts and was willing to install a replacement unit for somewhere between $200-400. I of course rejected his offer of a new garage door opener and waited for Sears to come out the following week and repair my door with "parts" that I was told was non-existed.

We discovered the broken spring at about 8:45 AM when we could not open the door with the opener, or manually. Called Precision Doors at 9:00 AM. The repairer came at about 10:00 AM. This in it's self is remarkable. The repair was completed by noon even though he had to work around snow plowing and family members cars coming and going. The door opens and closes smoothly and seals better at the bottom than before. It must have not closed evenly.

They replaced the rollers because I had paid for an Angie's Deal. No problem there. My door was not closing properly & rather than repairing the problem the rep tried to sell me a whole new system by trying to frighten me with a list where he "failed" parts of my system. I told him I had a home warranty & I wanted to check with them. He told me I could do that but they never cover anything with the garage door. Told him I would think about it. Called Home warranty & guy came out diagnosed the problem (bad laser eyes that caused the door to not close) within 5 minutes. Replaced the defective part & was on his way. When I told him my previous experience with repairman, he guessed right away that the company was Precision. Told me I did not need new opener but if I did, what it would have cost. The cost would have been almost half the price for same opener Precision had quoted me. Bottom line is if you need new opener & don't care about cost, call them. If you need a repair, call somebody else.
