They were good. It worked out great! My wife was the one who was here when they were. She liked that they were honest and up-front with her about the problem. They were able to fix it fairly quickly. We thought their price was reasonable and we trusted them.

The plumbing company provided very quick service. They called within half an hour of my calling them and leaving a message, and set up an appointment for the next day. They were very responsive and the quality of work was good because the toilet doesn't leak anymore. They called me at 8 in the morning and said that they would be here in half an hour, but they did not show up till 9.30. However, I was pleased that the job got done very quickly. They even offered a 15 percent discount as I had a membership with them.

Spoke with the office manager to arrange a visit. He explained there was a $59 call/service charge. I mentioned I had a coupon for that amount from his company. He said if any work was done the charge would be waived. If the work was not done I would be responsible for the $59 charge. Very fair. I spoke with the same person 2 additional times to confirm. The technician and his apprentice (I assume that's what the young man was) arrived promptly, were polite and courteous and got right to work. In less than 10 minutes I was informed there was no problem other than a dry trap solved by running water in a tub. A whole house complimentary inspection was offered but I passed. When it came time to write a check for the $59 service charge--which I fully understood I was responsible for--I was informed there was an additional $97 "diagnostics charge." I told the technician to get his boss on the phone and I would explain that as at no time during 3 previous phone calls did he explain the possibility of that charge, I was not going to pay it. The technician then said he would waive the $97 charge and I would just be responsible for the $59 charge. I added that unless I heard from his boss explaining why the possibility of this charge was never mentioned, I was going to recount the experience fully on Angie's List. The office manager called and we got nowhere. He said he couldn't tell me about a potential $97 "diagnostics charge" because "I'm not a plumber." I explained he didn't need to be a plumber to inform someone of the possibility of an additional almost one-hundred dollar charge. Again explained I was going to post this experience on Angie's List unless having good reason not do. Next, a member of the McDermott family called. She said the technician had made the mistake because he didn't inform me before he started that there could be an additional $97 charge if no work was done. I told her that, quite frankly, I had doubts about that version of events as it would make considerably more sense to have the office manager explain this possibility instead of leaving it in the hands of the plumber. And when I explained that $97 plus $59 for a total of $156 for someone to drive from Parma to Broadview Heights and spend--literally--less than 10 minutes in determining the problem was a little steep, she countered with how well trained their people were, how well paid, etc. My doctor wouldn't charge me that much for a ten minute office visit to diagnose a sore throat. And, if so, I'd find another doctor. My point is this: The company has EVERY right to charge what they see fit for their services. Where they really crossed the line, however, is in springing this additional charge at the end of the process. Virtually every consumer I know would have a problem with how this was handled.

THIS CUSTOMER WAS VERY DIFFICULT. HE ASSUMES THAT I AM THE OFFICE MANAGER BECAUSE I PICK UP THE PHONE CALLS. THE THING HE DOES NOT REALIZE IS THAT I AM NOT THE OFFICE MANAGER AND JUST A DISPATCHER. ALSO, I AM NOT A PLUMBER SO I HAVE NO CLUE IN WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO FIX A PROBLEM FOR A CUSTOMER. THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE THAT HE IS EXPLAINING IS SOMETHING THAT GETS WAIVED 99.99% OF THE TIME IF THE CUSTOMER ENDS UP HAVING WORK DONE. NOTHING WAS DONE TO FIX HIS PROBLEM. WE DIAGNOSED HIS PROBLEM FOR HIM, THUS A DIAGNOSIS FEE WAS EXPLAINED TO HIM. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I CANNOT QUOTE TO HIM BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. AFTER TRYING TO EXPLAIN THIS TO HIM HE VERBALLY ASSAULTED ME OVER THE PHONE BY BASICALLY CALLING ME MENTALLY CHALLENGED AND SWEARING AT ME. I FELT LIKE I HAD HANDLED THE CUSTOMER QUITE WELL, BUT HE JUST HAD A HUGE THORN IN HIS SIDE. THERE WAS NO TALKING TO THIS CUSTOMER. I ENDED THE PHONE CONVERSATION WITH HIM AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES OF BEING VERBALLY ABUSED. I EVEN TOLD HIM THAT HE WAS INSULTING ME AND HE SHOWED NO REMORSE, NO APOLOGY FOR SWEARING EITHER. THIS WAS JUST A BAD CUSTOMER FROM THE GET GO. HE TRIED TO GET ME TO GIVE HIM A PRICE OVER THE PHONE ON HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO FIX HIS PROBLEM, AND I EVEN STATED BEFORE THAT ALL I COULD TELL HIM WAS OF A $59 SERVICE CHARGE BECAUSE I AM THE COMPANY'S DISPATCHER AND I AM NOT A PLUMBER. I FEEL LIKE THIS POST FROM HIM IS UNFAIR BECAUSE WE WERE FAIR THROUGH AND THROUGH, EVEN TRIED TO REASON WITH HIM, BUT WITH MORE SWEARING FROM HIM, WE GOT NOWHERE.

I telephoned this company to ask them what they would charge to clean the main drain that was backing up in the basement of my commercial building. They said that they could not give me an estimate over the phone and that they would send out a service person to look at what was needed for the estimate. They said that the charge would be a service fee of $79 plus tax, but because I was referred through the Business Directory, there would be a $25 credit. The service person was courteous and arrived as promised to tell me what I already knew, to wit: that my main drain needed to be snaked out. The cost for this service would be $397 plus tax. I told him that the last time the service was performed by another contractor the fee was $225, and that the same contractor would do it again for the same price. For this estimate information I was charged the $79 plus tax service fee. I feel that this service fee is a rip off, as they have a price list for various plumbing services which they could have quoted to me over the phone after I described what the situation was, to wit: a clogged main drain in my basement.

I knew what needed to be done with the faucet I was just unable to perform all the steps needed to do it, so I called them to help me out with this. They tried to talk me into buying a whole new faucet to get the lifetime warranty which is not at all what I wanted. They also wanted to check the water pressure in my house which had nothing to do with the leaking faucet that I had called them for. They have four different fees that they charge based on the type of appointment you get.

Bathroom sink drain clogged on Sat. and I called the company. Service call would cost $119 to come out on Sat. or Sunday. It would cost $79 on Mon. between 8 am and noon. Brian came at 12:10 pm. Monday. Brian spent over a half hour explaining his charges and the Club rates if we cared to join for an annual fee. He proceeded to snake the drain and cut the trap and replace it. It was just a minor job that did not take very long and he did a good job. He gave us $50 off for being ten minutes late although he was to arrive between 8 am and noon. He also gave us 10% Angie's List Discount which brought the total down from $498 to $429 with tax. We have found a new prompt and reasonable priced plumber since.

They came to look at it, they said it would be a $45 service call to come out. When they looked at it, they said it would cost in the range of $300 to $400 because it was an older toilet. They gave another evaluation that said if they were to replace it with a new toilet it would cost about $1000. We chose to not do anything because we were shocked at the cost and we were selling the home. We had a friend come out and fixed it for about $10. It was months ago and it still works great! I paid out $200 just for the evaluation from this company.

I really liked being able to talk to a human being over the phone. I called them right away at around 2pm in the afternoon, at approximately 2:20pm, he pulled up in my driveway & by 3:10pm, he had finished (the job), was paid and was out the door. While he was in the basement, he also checked out our plumbing and said it was good. They are required to put booties on their when they come into the house, they can't smoke or swear and if they do any of these things, you may be entitled to a discount from them. I would use them again in the future.

Were quoted $200+Tax but when they got out and removed the appliances, more extensive work was need to bring up to code and avoid having to call them back out, it was agreed upon. Just felt that this was bit pricier than I had expected and jobs were basically menu priced. Overall, besides the prices workmanship was great..they were good to work with.... just choked on the price a tad.

Company was the only one of three contacted on a Sat. who returned my call that day and could come out on Sun. I asked if there was a cost difference coming out on Sun., was told no by owner--all service calls were $99. Turned out NOT to be true once workman arrived. He said service calls ran from $49-$99--told me he'd give me the $49 rate, but ultimately charged $69 (which was refunded after I complained to office mgr). For the 1/2 hour it took for workman to replace two unions--no pipes replaced--I was charged $712 in total. They charge $297 per leak--he gave me "a deal" and only charged me for one--and $297 to pressure test the line. Told me they were cheaper than other plumbers & guarantee work for two years--other companies only guarantee for 30-days. Pluses--only one to call me back in a reasonable time; came out on Sun.; quickly & professionally fixed the problem. But gas company rep who came to turn my gas back on said that amount of work should have cost $250 max.
Description of Work: Installed 1" union on gas line coming in from outside the house (union was on the inside) and a 1/2" union on pipe going up to supply gas to the stove. Tested house line and line out to gas meter.
